Binge eating disorder

Does anyone have any tips to stop binge eating. I'm a female,38kg,under 150 cm and don't excercise. Honestly, i feel like i've been binging uncontrolably recently. At the start while i did overeat often, i don't think i'd consider it a binge but as time went on i think that my relationship with food only worsened. In the beginning, my highest binges would typically reach around 1800 kcals but overtime the number only increased from going over 2000 to even going over 3000 now. My binges happen in very short periods of times where i could be eating everything in sight in less than an hour, easily reaching over 2000+ until i feel sick. I've gone over 3 days straight eating 8500 calories, 1028g carbs 350g fat and 318g protein in total after binging which can be seen as 2500-3000 kcals in a day.I can typically eat 1000 calories and 100g carbs on a daily basis as i've been tracking it and its been possible. But recently ,whenever i start eating i just can't stop. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop this cycle.

    It's a tough one to untangle….there is some emotional stuff behind it.

    Have you talked to your doctor?

    Are you inclined toward addictions in other parts of your life? You don't have to answer, but it's common.

    As far as trigger foods, for me it's sweets and breads/crackers/cereal/pretzels/etc. So sugar and wheat. I always have to start with cutting WAY back on those. That helps a lot to break the cycle. NO baked sweets or frozen treats. No candy or soda pop. If I don't buy it I can't eat it. I try to limit wheat to one serving a day…like one piece of bread or a single serving of five crackers. More than that and it sets me off.

    If you are 150cm and your weight is 38kg, you are very underweight (BMI 16.9). At that weight, perhaps your body is trying to tell you something by pushing you to eat more?

    Yeah, UserName377, your body is screaming out to feed it. Try doing that with good nutrition and the binges should decrease.

    How old are you? (You mention coming home from school…)

    If you're logging food, work on getting to your Goal on Protein and fiber. 4-6 servings of whole fruit and/or vegetables. Then fats, last of all carbs. For a lot of people too many processed carbs are what trigger over-eating in a binge-like way; so, like candy, cookies, donuts, bread, cereal, potato chips etc. In your case, you just need to be careful to not under-eat too.

    On the psychological side, yeah, stress and lack of sleep can/will affect food intake. If you're having relationship issues (teachers, other students, friends, family) then I'd suggest seeing a school counselor.

    Just use the default macros on the app.

    You should be set at, "Gain 1/2 pound per week," (or even gain one pound per week) by the way. NOT weight loss.

    You understand that, right?

    To stop the binging you need to be eating ENOUGH on every day, not under-eating today to make up for yesterday's binge. That's where the problem starts.
