Here's mine from this morning. She seems nice. I wonder if she run?

Thanks @Scott6255; looks like a new update fixed my app login issue, but replaced it something new - completely removing the ability to add a manual exercise!

That was an entertaining article @tarun_yadavA & I'm going to assume I'm currently single because I run way too fast or maybe just fast enough? (depending on my mood😂). Enjoy the night out with the boys!

Hope you get some sleep tonight @quilteryoyo!

Good luck on the HM @martaindale!

Nice wildflowers @WarmJellyfish, glad spring is showing up for you!

    14/05 - 0km still sick
    15/05 - 13.49km / 8.38 miles
    16/05 - 13.08km / 8.13 miles

    Total = 82.20km / 57.59 miles (Goal - 161Km / 100 miles)

Thunderstorms woke me up this morning around 3:30a.m🤬 & I could not fall back to sleep….
I didn't get out for a run until early this afternoon though, and there was nothing but sun & a temp pushing 27⁰C.
The hottest day of the year so far & very humid (Apparently, it's feeling like 30⁰C now)
A warm breeze was nice though, but I changed up my planned run to follow the shade, and after 8K of running, I threw in some walks on the next 5K as I really wasn't quite ready for that heat.
Lost about 5lbs in sweat…. definitely not a 'dating run'.

    Hahaha @chris_in_cal .

@martaindale Glad you are enjoying the trail runs and doing better with the heat. Yeah, that temp change is going to be hard to deal with. Enjoy your HM this weekend. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

    Pretty flowers @WarmJellyfish .

Nice running @John772016 . The heat makes such a difference.

    40.10/80.00 mile goal

On Wednesday, I did an early morning wun on the treadmill. Avg pace for the running portion was 12:23 min/mile. I ran a little over a mile before taking a minute walk break. After work, I was home for about 45 min and then picked up mom for a funeral of a neighbor/friend who passed away Saturday. I feel for her daughter, who has been living with her and caring for her for years. I can't imagine how hard it would be to lose my mother the day before Mother's Day.

Yesterday, I worked from 7:30 - 4:30. You all know enough about me by now to know that I did NOT get up early enough to run before going to work. 😉 I did go out for a fast walk around town during my break. I didn't run any because I knew I was playing tennis later and didn't really want to sweat much. Unfortunately, it was pretty warm and humid so I was soaked with sweat. I had taken other clothes, so was able to change before heading back to work. The walk was at an avg pace of 14:29 min/mile or 4.1 mph.

After work, I ran an errand and then met a friend for some singles tennis. Did I mention that it was hot and humid? We were a bit sluggish, but it was still fun. We played two sets. I won the first one 6-1 and lost the second one 2-6. We just called it a tie and quit for the night.

I went to the gym this morning. I woke up something during the night with my back hurting and it was tight this morning, so we opted to not do dead lift today. I did do bench press and while I didn't get a PR, what I did felt a bit easier - 2 sets of 10 at 45 pounds and one set of 4 at 55 pounds. My assisted pull ups were better - with 80 pounds assist, I did 3 sets of 20, 12, and 8 reps. I'll try 70 pound assist next time. There were lots of other arm exercises and some legs thrown in for good measure. I also did back extensions which seemed to help my back some.

Afterwards, mom and I got haircuts and ran a couple of errands. I was home long enough for a quick lunch and then got stuff together to help mom finish planting her garden. We wanted to finish since it's supposed to storm tonight. That took about 1.5 hours.

After I got home, I went out for a driveway wun…my intention. When I saw my pace for the first mile, I realized I could call it a run, so did a bit more running for the next 0.75 miles . Splits were 14:16 and 13:33. So, nice and easy…but again hot and humid and sweaty. (Not 100°F though.)

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday I had a really hard interval run at the gym. 15x 1 min, 1 minute easy pace in between. That workout always tests my resolve. It is definitely a workout I would NOT recommend for a run date :). I ran 11km.

The afternoon was filled with lots of 10 year old boys on bikes, with various types of balls, sporting equipment and cake. There were a total of 3 flat tires (oops). Needless to say, I was really exhausted at the end of the day.

@Teresa502 Good luck at your new/old job!

@martaindale I think you will enjoy the change of temp for the race. Colder is always easier than hotter in my opinion (as long as the colder is above freezing).

I have the half my daughter “made” me sign up for next weekend. I am a little worried it will be on the “hotter” side. I always train early in the morning and it’s always nice and cool, so I am not prepared for anything warm-ish.

    106.4/270km for May

Checking out for now. I have a massive uti, which was the reason why I was so exhausted lately. Going on a trip anyway from tomorrow. Thus we'll see how things go thereafter.

I had to jump on here to share this morning. I had a 5km race this morning. I lined up at the 40 minute mark and hoped to finished just under that time. My time was 33:08!!!!!!!!!!!! I took NO walk breaks! I was NOT anticipating it going that well! I looked through my running journals, and the last time I went that fast was sometime before 2020!
