Congratulations on your race @martaindale ! That is an impressive improvement.
@quilteryoyo Your nieces are adorable.
I ran 11 miles today. It was so humid and the run was a bit of a struggle. It was cloudy though and there was a breeze, so that helped with the heat some. I saw a couple of cottontail rabbits today and some pretty horses and lots of wildflowers. So it was a good run, just a very sweaty run.

Awesome race @martaindale. I’m so pl asked for you.
6km today for me. I missed my Sunday long run as I aggravated my back raking woodchip (it was niggly before I started). Lots of rolling last night plus a muscle relaxer and a heavy strength anti inflammatory and I woke feeling great this morning. Couldn’t run long as I had to finish the raking! All done now though so back to routine tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice on contacting Garmin, I had just order a generic cable on Amazon for 12 euros & it arrived this morning thankfully but I will email Garmin and see if they will send me a proper the as like @quilteryoyo says the generic one probably wont last.

@martaindale well done on the PR, Sarah!

Congrats on your great race and PR @martaindale!!
The little ones are so adorable @quilteryoyo.
Great job on the 4 miles @chris_in_cal!
We had our six and almost four year old granddaughters over for a three day weekend this past weekend. They loved that they got to do a two night sleepover over with grandma and grandpa. Was a lot of fun, but tiring.
I haven’t been posting runs. Sprained my left ankle (the one with the PTTD) several days ago and it’s been sore and swollen. Decided I best not do intentional walk/jogs untiI I get the swelling down. Sigh….8 -

I ran 7 miles this morning. It was another super sweaty run. It was so humid, and the dew point was 71. It should be a little nicer tomorrow and Wednesday. I'm not sure if I will run in the morning though. I have my interview at 9:30 so I may wait until after that to run.

Ya'll convinced me to join Strava (well @tarun_yadavA convinced me I could meet my dream runner woman/partner) I can't believe it's been a year.
8 -
Great runs everyone! I liked them as I read through the posts.
One of these days I'll get around to start re-using my Strava account…Cute pic of the ladies @quilteryoyo!
Good luck on the interview @kgirlhart! I always liked running after interviews, personally, helped me burn off whatever energy I had left!
Great shoe porn @AlphaHowls!
Garmin gave me a "It's time to Let Go" badge today; Piss off Garmin, those were my favourite shoes and only have about 400 miles on them (as far as Garmin knows 😉…. ). Though I gotta admit, I was actually thinking, as I was running, "These shoes are feeling a bit clunky today" & I already stopped using them for races last year!

As it's the first long weekend of the 'almost' summer the city was fairly quiet to run through which made it really nice. Lots of people on the streets to dodge, but not as many cars!
As opposed to run the other day looking for shade, today I was following the sun through the streets!
Nerve pain continues, though barely noticeable while running or walking today, a great way to remind me never to sit down!….time to call the Dr.s though as it's been going on too long, ugh….6 -
Hi everyone!
I have 2 runs to post. Yesterday I ran 8.3km while my daughter was at her swim lesson.
Today I ran 16.1km as my final long run before my next HM. I am quite sceptical about getting a PR, as the weather will most likely be too warm for me, but I’ll give it my best. I’ll be forcing myself to taper the rest of the week ;).
Both runs were nice and uneventful.
130.8/270 km for May.
7 -
Great runs & good luck with the HM later @Laurz9191!
You never know, one of my best charity runs (a 10K) was on a day that was 39⁰C (about 102⁰F); I'm pretty sure my body was like, 'get me the f' out of here,… faster'…..I had a ridiculous good race time for what was a ridiculously hot day to have a run.Regardless, I hope you enjoy it!

Afternoon everyone. Another 6k for me this morning, preceded by a walk to our local cafe with hubby for coffee and followed by a visit to my osteo, then the hairdresser. Feeling fab now.
Winter seems to have arrived this morning (just yesterday we were wondering where it was as ITS been so mild). It was a chilly 9 degrees C at 9am, warranting a long sleeved merino top (albeit lightweight). Stunning day though - perfect for running.
7 -
New shoes!
7 -
@chris_in_cal hahahaha... A year already? And now you're a Strava regular!
Wait till you get that San Diego parkrun up and running... You'll be swiping (kudos-ing?) away! Lol

Afternoon all
Left it late. Got in 5.0M at 10'22

@kgirlhart Good luck with your interview today!
I'll try to catch up with everyone else today while the kids are napping.

@kgirlhart Good luck today!
@ContraryMaryMary nice shoes... And top running of late!

Thunderstorms were in the forecast for this morning but I looked on the radar and nothing seemed to be in the area so I headed out around 5:30 am. I had a lovely 5-mile sunrise run. Ran past lots of honeysuckle in bloom and the smell was heavenly. I only saw a few cows, a horse and one cat. No humans. Not even a passing car. Definitely my favorite time of day to run.
Has anyone ever done Run with Ash videos on YouTube? He has some great, short stretching and yoga videos if anyone needs a good resource.
Good luck today @kgirlhart
Congratulations on your 5K @angf0679 !
@Mari33a and @chris_in_cal – I’m experiencing the charger woes also. I lost the charging cord for my Garmin last week and it is currently dead. It was fairly new as my old one was acting up and Garmin had sent me that one free of charge. I ordered a new one over the weekend and am hoping it will arrive soon. I’ve been using the Strava app on my phone to record my runs. I usually don’t run with my phone so I’ve had to make sure whatever I wore had a pocket to fit it and it is so much easier to push the start and stop buttons on my wrist rather than having to fish the phone out of my pocket.
@martaindale – Congratulations on your Skedaddle HM! You did a great job pacing your walk/run intervals.
I hope your ankle heals quickly @daria0919. Sounds like a tiring but fun weekend with the littles.
Love the shoe porn @AlphaHowls and @ContraryMaryMary
Sorry about the nerve pain @John772016
5 -
Nice running @kgirlhart . Those horses are beautiful.
@ContraryMaryMary I'm glad your back is better. When I was having back issues, the doctor's told me racking and vacuuming were the worst things to do because you have to pull and push in such unnatural ways.
Oh no @daria0919 . I hope your sprained ankle gets better soon! Sounds like you had a great weekend with your grandklds.
Love the new shoes @AlphaHowls . Where do your shoes go when you retire them? Mine usually become my mowing shoes.
We're glad you joined Strava @chris_in_cal . Sorry you haven't found your dream lady running partner yet.
Hahaha @John772016 . I don't tell Garmin what shoes I am running in. Keeps from being judged. I usually switch when my knees and shins tell me it's time. I'm glad you were able to run. Hope the doctors can find out what is causing the nerve pain and it's a quick fix.
I love how you multitask @Laurz9191 . Good luck with your taper and your HM. Fingers crossed for a great race and PR.
Great run @ContraryMaryMary and sounds like a fabulous morning. Love the shoe porn! Why can't I ever seem to find the pretty colors?
Great running @tarun_yadavA .
Sounds like a great run this morning @Teresa502 . We had a gully washer here yesterday afternoon and are in for more rain/storms this afternoon and tonight. Hope you don't get hit too hard.

Hi all, I go away for the long weekend and wow so many posts. Liked as many as I could and congrats to all who had races.
So far 112/175km
Did an overnight backpacking trip into the mountains. Plans got thwarted by high creek water levels from the spring run off. Did a teeny bit of trail running with the pack on but I was leaving the others in the dust so had to slow down. Forcast for the weekend held true and we had spots of sun and rain saturday and we manage to beat the incoming deluge for sunday, making it back to the car just as the rain started. It basically rained all day sunday after.

@Teresa502 - I never run with my phone either and hate having to carry anything extra on me.
There are some great shoe photos here over the past few days. Makes it very tempting to go shopping but I'm going to restrain myself this time.
