Ok run. I currently have a mismatch between muscle function (poor) and stamina (good), which leads to mild hyperventilation, which in return causes blood pooling. But overall it was good if it wasn't for the weather. Weather was fine when I walked to my starting point as a warm-up, started to rain thoroughly when I started to run, sun returned once I was done running. Yeah.

Just finished catching up with the posts. For all those who are hopelessly stuck in km math, like myself, boyfriend pace is about 7:30/km :).
@swenson19d It sounds like you have been through a lot!!!! I’m really sorry to hear that!

@chris_in_cal Great job signing up for the 5km. Races are always good motivators for putting a goal to the training! I just signed up for a local 5km in July :), so I can “motivate” myself to do more speed work. Maybe…

Yesterday, I ran 10.3km on my favourite route. It was very windy but otherwise nice. Today it was raining and instead of dealing with that, I went to the gym and ran 11.1km, with ca. 10 minutes at tempo pace. My son also wanted to run with me right after school but there was a thunderstorm. After it had gone by we went out for 2.4km. Tomorrow I am hoping to go on a longer route with him. He did really well, COMPLETELY left me in the dust on our home sprint, and it was great chatting with him.
I’m not going to make my goal but I will try to get 3 more runs in this month!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I did run 7.25 miles. It was a good run. The temperature wasn't too bad, but it was 100% humidity. Today I ran 7 miles. It was rainy when I got up, so I waited a bit. The sun was just starting to come out when I started. It was a little warm, but the breeze was nice. It actually been pretty nice for the end of May.
@WarmJellyfish The snowshoe hare is so pretty. I always love to see the jackrabbits here, but I can never get pictures. They are too fast.

There was an explosion of baby geese on yesterday's run.
Later, I got chased by another goose but I have bigger wings than it. Why are people afraid of geese ?

I've been doing a Canada Day (July 1st) 5K for the last few years(4? 5?), the first year I ran it, I wasn't sure I could finish as I rarely ran that far yet. I did, and the group was so supportive, I've signed up each year since. Hope your experience will be the same!5 -

I went to the gym this morning. I had been asked to work at daycare afterwards, so went early enough to do a mile walk as warm up on the gym's treadmill.
I was disappointed with my assisted pullups today - could only do 7 reps at 70# assist and 2 sets of 10 reps at 80# assist, barely. But, I got a PR for deadlift - did 95# 10 reps and then 2 sets of 115 # , 10 reps each. Previously, I had only lifted 105#. So, legs were good today. Arms, not so much.

Hello Everyone!
I tried “boyfriend” pace this morning, but was still a bit too quick ;). It was fun. I was however reminded of my last HM, where I was struggling to keep up with the 2 hour pacer, and there was a girl and boy - early 20s - chatting to each other next to me the entire time like we were all on a leisurely stroll. Their “boyfriend” pace was definitely not the norm ;). I ran 10.1km.
208.8/270km for May.

Yesterday I kept looking outside & wanted to run but the weather report was threatening that rainstorms were imminent, so I fired up the treadmill…. nada on the imminent rainstorms… was sunny during & for about 3 hours after I finished that treadmill run.
Today was all fog and rain when I got up & weather report said it would rain mostly all day. I finished my coffee, looked outside, & seeing no rain, threw on shorts & tee , and optimistically, sunscreen, and headed out. Only a couple of short rain bursts, glad I ignored the forecasts.Goal!!
Since were all enjoying the boyfriend/girlfriend pace, I'm going to call my run today's an 'ex-pace' (5'40 /km - 9'06 /mi) as when I finished, I was a sweaty mess that no one would want to be around, and yet, I wanted to run even faster….

I didn't sleep very well at all last night. I was tired, but wide awake when I went to bed. It was 4 am before I finally fell asleep good. I was supposed to play tennis tonight, so when I finally got myself out the door, I decided to just do a short wun. Pace was 4.0 mph, so not horrible.
I tried to nap this afternoon, but again, just couldn't get sleepy. I hope tonight will be a different story.
It has rained on and off all day today, so tennis did get cancelled. My goal of 80 miles is pretty much beyond my reach at this point. But, I will try to get in a couple more decent runs.

I got up a little earlier this morning and ran a 6-mile interval run. It was good and I hit all the paces. I guess next week I will be back to running before the sun comes up.

Did my Thursday 10k a day late. I actually did my 11.5k route, the one with the really big hill. I felt great and the run felt comfortable the entire way so, naturally, when I got home, I was completely unsurprised to see that Garmin tells me I’m being unproductive for the first time in six weeks.

I am single looking to mingle. Mildly dyslexia and I mistakenly thought I, as a man would run the boyfriend pace to find a women, as she ran the girlfriend pace...but now I see how I flipped it around.

Our fellow runners from the British Commonwealth will get made at us, it is one long word: Parkrun.
I'm still scheming, it's a great idea. A runner in my neighborhood is very prolific, and I'm trying to figure out how to connect, so I can start a group of people to get it started. In short, I'm still working on it.
