    I've been doing well with calories, but weight isn't really going down. I feel a bit discouraged tbh. But sticking with it.

    Daily calories- yesterday

    Goal- 1600 Actual 1582

    Weight
    June 3- 161.6
    June 4- 160.8

    June 8- 161.4

    June goals:

    ** Weigh in weekly on Wednesdays.
    **Track calories every day. Last week 6/7 days
    **Stick to my calorie goals (1600)
    **Eat out only 4 days a month (1/4 done)
    **If I have a drink try to bring cals down to 2350 cals max. Plan 2 snacks. FRI- GOAL MET!

    June goals: log/weigh daily. Increase protein intake. Do some form of activity 4/7 days. Drink minimally 64oz water daily.

    June 6: calories ❌ protein ❌, water ✅, activity ✅. Took a morning walk and walked our local farmers market. Spent a good part of the afternoon doing yard work. Overall ate healthy foods but did go over in calories any about 150. Overall I feel good and it was a good day!

    06/07-190.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 192.7) A nice little drop this morning. My weight-in was about an hour earlier than usual. Got up early to get ready for the trip to the movies. TMI after a couple of no-go days really helped. My diet was on point yesterday also but less physical movement than I’ve been getting lately so I didn’t expect to see the scale move this much. They have chosen Golden Corral for dinner. Oh my, all you can eat. But must I really eat “all I can eat”? Feeling weak. Maybe being this close to the 180’s will help me. I’m not feeling it though, honestly. I’ll try to watch the dessert plate at least which is A LOT since that is my biggest temptation.

    🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️06/08-192.4 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 1917) Well, there’s my typical couple of pound gain after travel/restaurant/sitting. Hopefully it won’t take more than a couple of days to come back off. The movie Lilo & Stitch was really good. I think most all adults and children alike would enjoy it. I stayed away from the drinks and snacks at the theater but not away from the dessert table at Golden Corral. My bad.

    I'm trying to start small so that I don't freak out if I fail.

    June 4: 276.8

    June 5: 274.0

    I'm pretty sure I have insulin resistance. I did an extra walk yesterday, but that's it. All of a sudden I lose 2 lbs overnight. I'm going to keep experimenting with this and see how it goes with adding one extra walk. It's less than 20 minutes a day that I'm adding.

    June 6: 272.8

    It is definitely insulin resistance. I didn't even eat great yesterday. I just did the two things my neighbor's doctor (she works at a PCP's office) told us to do. She said that if we lose weight and the only real change we make is intermittent fasting and adding a 20 minute walk, we have insulin resistance. Today I'm going to be more strict about what I eat at dinner and see if I drop more or bloat from the change.

    I'm genuinely shocked at how much I've lost this week. I would've never guessed that making two very small changes would lead to such a great week. I even had a jack and coke last night, and thought I would be bloated today from the soda and alcohol. This has been a great week!

    I thought I ate really bad yesterday but I looked at the nutrition info on some of the things I would normally eat and my mouth went 😬 I wouldn't eat those foods all the time, but at least once or twice a week. And I'm talking about things we always see in people's fridge: Italian sausage, sauces, chips, etc.

    June 8: calories ❌ protein ✅, water ✅, activity ✅. Spent the morning in the yard trimming hedges and laying mulch, so definitely got my activity in! We grilled out for dinner and I had a hamburger and pasta salad, so that caused the uptick in calories.

My lowest weight (On Saturday Morn) was 190.4 so I am close. My trend weight is continuing to slowing drop and I am hopeful that things will go well this week as I don't see any immediate obstacles. This week I want to put my main focus on water, incorporating exercise (not just movement) and seriously limiting my snacks. Too much of a good thing is still a bad thing…..

    I didn't log much food from yesterday. My daughter had her surgery to remove her port, so we were up at 3am and didn't come home until til around 7pm.

My lowest weight (On Saturday Morn) was 190.4 so I am close. My trend weight is continuing to slowing drop and I am hopeful that things will go well this week as I don't see any immediate obstacles. This week I want to put my main focus on water, incorporating exercise (not just movement) and seriously limiting my snacks. Too much of a good thing is still a bad thing…..

I’ve been doing pretty well since the beginning of May in both my start weight and my trend weights. I’ve had a few missteps with my birthday, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day Weekend being in May. I’ve also had a bit of off and on travel days. However, I’ve managed to reign it back in each time and the progress is slowly coming. I’m still working on being consistent with those good habits that I need to focus on including water and intentional exercise. Now that my major primary bedroom renovation is done and my projects will be small and shorter for awhile, I am hoping the privacy it affords in my home will allow me to focus better on diet, prep cooking and exercise right in my living room! Tonight I will cook a “regular” meal of “non-diet” foods. It’s time to make something nice and have dinner with my son. So tonight will be all about portion control not necessarily about content.

    Ate a whole heap of crap yesterday and eating remaining crap today. Oh well. Am determined to get in some exercise this week though.Have a nasty viral infection so not feeling great. Having a CT scan tomorrow .

    June 9: calories ✅protein ✅, water ✅, activity ❌. Feeling good about my diet. I keep experimenting with healthier snack recipes to try and curb my evening sweet tooth. The purposeful exercise is where I continue to struggle. If I have an accountability partner or someone to go with I am on it, but if not I’ve been pretty good at talking myself out of it. Afterwards I regret it and get mad at myself, so I need to find better “self talk”that pushes and encourages me versus giving myself a way out and making excuses. On to a new day….have a great one!

    🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️06/11 – 191.2 ❌ (Trend Weight – 192.2) Well, there’s that “non-diet” dinner I cooked last night showing up without any hesitation whatsoever. However, it was only 1226 calories but 21 carbs over goal. So it actually wasn’t too bad and I'm proud that I kept it within reason with portion control. Dinner was very late as I was still outside working on raking and burning storm damage. Ate at 9:30 pm so that may be a factor. Eating late, however, really curbed the snack monster. I’ll be positive and hope that I just shook things up like a wet pillowcase in the laundry basket as I prep it to hang on the clothesline out back. Shaking it out…..Yea, maybe it will straighten things out. Even my body may need a new perspective from time to time. Happy Hump Day Everyone!

    Yesterday was an unintentional long day. I did weigh myself in the morning and log all of my food, but I didn't get a chance tocome to the communities side and post 🥴 So this one is for yesterday and today.

    🥑Current Weight: 276.8🥑

    🍑Goal Weightloss for June: 4lbs🍑

    I'm trying to start small so that I don't freak out if I fail.

    June 4: 276.8

    June 5: 274.0

    I'm pretty sure I have insulin resistance. I did an extra walk yesterday, but that's it. All of a sudden I lose 2 lbs overnight. I'm going to keep experimenting with this and see how it goes with adding one extra walk. It's less than 20 minutes a day that I'm adding.

    June 6: 272.8

    It is definitely insulin resistance. I didn't even eat great yesterday. I just did the two things my neighbor's doctor (she works at a PCP's office) told us to do. She said that if we lose weight and the only real change we make is intermittent fasting and adding a 20 minute walk, we have insulin resistance. Today I'm going to be more strict about what I eat at dinner and see if I drop more or bloat from the change.

    I'm genuinely shocked at how much I've lost this week. I would've never guessed that making two very small changes would lead to such a great week. I even had a jack and coke last night, and thought I would be bloated today from the soda and alcohol. This has been a great week!

    I thought I ate really bad yesterday but I looked at the nutrition info on some of the things I would normally eat and my mouth went 😬 I wouldn't eat those foods all the time, but at least once or twice a week. And I'm talking about things we always see in people's fridge: Italian sausage, sauces, chips, etc.

    I didn't log much food from yesterday. My daughter had her surgery to remove her port, so we were up at 3am and didn't come home until til around 7pm.

    Yesterday was a VERY long day. I left the house around 7am and didn't come home until just after 9pm. But I had no cake at my daughter's cancer free celebration, so I'm happy about that.

    06/12-193.2 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 192.3) Wow! I didn’t expect it to be up THAT much! A taco truck came to our area and will be here for about 2 weeks. Mexican food is a treat in my town as it is not readily available without some travel. I ate TOO much not knowing ahead of time how BIG they are. Delicious but I won’t be going back. I hope most of this is bloat/sodium. We’ll see. DD and DGS arrive today. Gotta stay STRONG.

    🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️06/13-192.0 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 192.3) A late weigh-in. I usually don’t weigh on Fridays because of the time table but I wanted to see if any of the bloat from the Mexican food yesterday dropped off. About half. It takes one day to add it and way longer to lose it. Oh, the complexities of the human body! Emergency travel required today as DGS age 6 is being taken by ambulance to a hospital downstate a couple of hours away for emergency appendix removal. Meals will be hospital food or a local restaurant later. Lots of travel and hospital sitting. I don’t expect good things on the scale tomorrow and may skip weighing altogether. My main focus right now is getting on the road. Prayers for Asher. Today is also my oldest daughter’s birthday. She’s 42 now. Where does the time go? Just yesterday she was wearing a little sunsuit and learning to walk on the scratchy lawn of our little humble rental house! Now she’s a beautiful wife, mother and headstart teacher. I couldn’t be prouder of her!
