07/11 – 191.2 ❌ (Trend Weight – 190.6)
07/12-DNW 💠 - (Trend Weight: DNW) This is going to be a very bad round (again) if I don’t get my *kitten* in gear. Daughter leaves Sunday evening. I’m especially weak this weekend and I need to find my inner strength and resolve.
💥💥💥 07/13-192.1 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 191.1) Horrified! But my daughter doesn’t shove it in my mouth, I do! I prep cooked at 10:00 last night to give myself two very nice diet approved meals. One for tonight and one for the next day, most likely. It should help me get back on track. I just need to get through today and right now, I’m feeling disgusted enough to be strong. Hopefully it will stay that way. I’ve still got time to turn this thing back around somewhat before the end of the challenge. It’s time to take a good look at myself in the mirror, as Michael would say. It’s time for me to change my ways.

My BHAG is not about weight, it's about sleep and eating. For this 10 days, no matter how much or how little I sleep, I will not eat unreasonable amounts of junk at 4am. IF I eat at 4 am, it will be reasonable foods in reasonable amounts(not a pint of ice cream and a cinnamon roll). Of course, i expect weight loss to follow.

Hi guys back from my hiatus and popping in halfway through! Just back from vacation with the girl friend group - super not happy about the pictures taken of me don’t even recognize myself. Two of my friends have recently lost weight and I am so happy for them. But now I am the “heavy friend” and my mind is playing mean girl pickleball with my ego 😝
Deep breaths. I can’t make it go faster. But I can prevent self-sabotage. I will take out my rage on a big pile of chopped veggies.
Nice to see some other new faces here :-)🌻🌲Round 302 SW: 163.8
I am healing so I can let go of the weight.

7/19@Skyleen75 ~ time for damage control with all that you have coming up. Do you best to stay the course but don't miss enjoying the time with DH and his birthday extravaganza. I know you will recover quickly!
@SModa61 ~ glad your sitting went well. I'm still waiting to see if I'm on the clock tomorrow or not. And yes… Determined Desert Tortoises > Best Team EVER!!
@iLive2Walk ~ i've got to get back to my schedule and resume my VR workouts. A bit too much going on in the past couple of weeks and I've let it slide. Ironically, it's the most fun of all the exercises!!!

💜MY MISSION STATEMENT💜
Show up for myself daily—with strength, grace, and purpose.
Choose progress over perfection and stay the course.
Honor my body through movement, nourishment, and belief.
Each step moves me closer to my healthiest, happiest self.
I am strong. I am steady. I am unstoppable.5 -
@iLive2Walk We did basic vanilla for a first try, and then topped it with mini M&M's. I did not have any. Long story on that.
I am clearly a repeat offender with respect to dieting. I get to a weight I would want, get complacent and/or life happens, and it falls off my priority list. Trying to learn to not do that. I will say that my "swings" are getting smaller. Here is my history in this challenge:

@ldcritt Thank you for the invitation to the BLC challenge. That is wonderful that it is motivating and supportive. Right now, I am so scattered in life that I am happy if I remember to tie my shoes. :P Now something I could handle at the moment, but will remember the offer when/if I think I could be a team player. <3
@quiltingjaine Thanks for that catch. I made a similar mistake at the end of last round but caught it before posting.
@itladyee Good luck tomorrow! I actually had a nice time. I hope you do as well!

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 302 (my 232nd). So grateful to @Quiltingjaine to keeping this going for such a long time – thank you.
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life.

A little bit about me: I'm 33 years old, female, 160cm (5ft 2.5in) tall. I have a 2yo son who is so full of energy and keeps me eternally busy! I generally keep fit doing judo (although I have injured my knee right now). I have crohns and am currently working with my IBD team to try and get myself into remission (inflammation markers are down, but they are tweaking the medication to hopefully get it even lower). I weigh wearing clothes so my actual weight fluctuates a lot, but I'm more concerned about trend.

302: SW: 81.3kg EW: XXXkg (+/-Xkg)7/10 - 81.2 - Managed to navigate the free lunch and actually ate sensibly yesterday. I did have a disappointing wrap bite that I wish I had just thrown away and had something else instead, but I didn't feel deprived with my other choices (I mean the coronation chicken sandwich I had is honestly one of the best coronation chickens I've ever had). Dinner was a disappointing pasta because I messed up cooking it. Ah well. Calories ended up under so that's a win

7/12 - 80.6
7/13 - DNW
7/14 - 80.9 - Weekend catchup - I was feeling really unwell over the weekend so didn't check in, very quick summery: Friday: Felt tired all day and low level nausea, but c/o was fairly okay considering, c/i was also okay. Saturday: Still low level nausea still but ate okay, judo helped with calories out (although I was only coaching). Did not sleep well and then woke up with terrible nausea (like, "I'm about to throw up" nausea) at 1am and that stayed around for an hour until it just settled to normal low level nausea and I was able to go back to sleep. Sunday: Felt awful, heavy fatigue, low level nausea, serious brain fog and headache, did not want to eat anything. Had to eat some toast to take with my medication (guess what it does if you take it on an empty stomach? More nausea! Ha!), but that's pretty much all I ate all day. In the evening my DH made me pizza which I only had a couple of slices of, although I did feel a little better afterwards (I have always felt better with nausea after eating, this is one of the reasons why, unlike the majority of crohns patients, I put on weight during a flair, and not unexpectantly lose it). Feeling a little better this morning and I had my Crohn's injection this morning, so if this is all because of a Crohn's flair I should start to feel better (I do worry that my last injection might have got desensitised while I was travelling somehow), if it's something else then that should make no difference what so ever.

@SModa61 Not sure I'm brave for weighing with clothes on, it's just not practical for me to go all the way downstairs to weight myself, then go back upstairs to get dressed. I do find it crazy the things that people do to get a lower number on the scale. When I competed at judo you'd see (and hear of) a selection of crazy things that people would do to make weight for the contest, removing clothes and jewellery was the least of it!
Honestly it really takes quite a lot of the impact out of the day to day numbers. I know that day to day numbers go up and down and that shouldn't bother me, but I do find it frustrating when you get a sticking value, or it swings higher for a few days on the bounce (even though you're "doing everything right"). And so I've always been a fan of monitoring trend weight as opposed to snapshot days, but this way mean I can only focus on my trend weight as my day to day numbers are just so heavily impacted by the clothes I'm wearing that the numbers are practically meaningless on their own.

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two years have lost about 90 pounds, give or take a couple. A good start to the round thanks to reasonable eating and excellent exercise. I rode my bike about 19 miles; about half of it was in heart rate zone 3. The bad part was it was the heat of the day. I downed a liter of LMNT drink during the ride and immediately afterward. We belong to a CSA (community supported agriculture.) The farmer gives us a bag full of freshly picked veggies every Tuesday, based on what is ripe this week. This week had the most beautiful kale I have ever seen. That is where my appreciation for kale stops. BUT, DW stir fried it with a bunch of other veggies and it changed everything. Very delicious.
Happy Birthday to Jeff. So, I will have two opportunities for ice cream today. 😊 I hope I can maintain this number.

Continued birthday excuse for me today. I really didn’t deny myself anything yesterday. I did well with protein intake, but carbs high again. Good news is the pie is gone and so are the baked beans. I expected an increase but I will say the 2.4 pound “jump” did surprise me.7/13: 226.0

7/11 went pretty well. Hit my protein target and stayed in my calorie limit. Food isn't so much the issue for me. It's the sedentary life that has me stuck. You can't out exercise a bad diet, but you can out exercise a sedentary lifestyle. That being said, I did not exercise today.7/12 --- 188.8

7/13 - Food was fine. Exceeded protein goal and stayed in my calories. The discovery of clear protein has been a game changer. It was tough to find a non-dairy one, but worth it. Weather was terrible and I had to drive in it. More storms and that had me in so much head pain at my craniotomy site. Seeing my neuro-oncologist next week, so that is on the list of things to address.7/14 ----187.5

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 302
July 10 - 19, 202563 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss if2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
SW MFP Jan 1, 2023 – 146.6GW Maintaining between 124 – 126 SW: 127.6 Since my weight is slowing coming back down, I’ve added back in history details INCLUDING my maintenance numbers. In January, it seemed silly including my goal was to maintain 124 – 126 when I was weighing 138. Those maintenance numbers are in sight now. Just need to get there.
SW: 128.0
7/10 – 129.0 The ice cream I bought for my sister (arriving tonight) is now gone. I guess I pre-gamed my stress eating that typically happens when she is here. She’ll be staying with us until mid-day Monday. All around, I am going to try and handle things better. Oh, I did the math. I was about 1500 calories over by the time I got done. :’(
7/11 – 128.4 Made it through yesterday fine. Planned ahead and tracked completely. I did go over my target by 100, but thoughtfully decided to. Not an uncontrolled binge. My big success was that I weighed out a portion of ice cream (gram setting on scale) and tracked it, instead to treating the whole container as a single portion, which is not uncommon for me.
7/12 – 127.6 Good to see these numbers again. I think is was round 299 that I saw them for a couple days. I handled yesterday well again. No binge eating. Again, weighed ice cream. Sister asked me what I was doing, by weighing the ice cream. I told her that I have no “stop” button, and she laughed (not a mean one). Sis and I are very different. She was voted best body AND most likely to succeed for her graduating class. I always joked that that getting both was not fair. Sis has NEVER had eating problems. Anyhow, today, I’ve got some projects and at the end of the day I am babysitting both grandkids ALONE for the first time ever. I am bringing my electric ice cream maker that has not been used in at least 10 years. Curious what a 5 and 2 year old will think of that. Last night, DD fell on a step and was at urgent care. Claim is bad sprained ankle of her right (driving) foot. Hopefully tonight is on for her and my babysitting.Have a good day all!
7/13 – 127.2 Had a good day. Closing back in on the 127.0 that I saw a couple rounds ago. Yesterday went well, though according to my tracking I did go over, but everything was accounted for. Babysitting the boys went well and gives me confidence enough to say I can do it again. :) Yay! Today is fairly busy with mom visits and working on the stuff in her apartment. I am trying to continually keep ahead of “stuff” collecting there. We are ordering pizza to be delivered to the assisted living for dinner. Two slices and that is it.
7/14 – 127.4 Did well (enough) yesterday. Happy with the X.4 as it is the same general number as the X.2 from yesterday. Did have two slices of a deluxe topped pizza and measured ice cream at dinner time. Was spot on. Then I saw some pretzels leftover from hubby’s Saturday fishing trip. I got into them, but stopped at about two servings, putting me over by about 250 cal for the day. I am ok with this. Sis leaves today, so I think I have handled her visit well from the point of view of not binging. NOW, I need to make sure I don’t do a POST visit binge. Yes, I have done that a number of times. Dinner tonight is at MIL’s, she is serving tripe to those that eat it. Not me. I should be ok not overeating this evening. :P

Took a 4 mile walk yesterday, which ended up taking us past an ice cream place that we've never tried. We've lived here for 4 years (and have been hiking past it for years before that), but somehow have never stopped at this place. The only dairy free option that they had was dole whip, which according to the nutrition facts listed online, seems way too good to be true. Walking back into the woods on the hiking trail with our ice cream cones felt kind of silly, but it made the next section of the walk really nice. I was definitely hungrier for snacks than I have been for the past few days, but I think that I did okay staying within my calories. When I wanted an evening snack, I included a protein shake as part of the snack to help make it keep me full longer.
I haven't been sleeping well for a few days, and today I'm feeling a little under the weather, so taking it easy. Hopefully, I'll still find some time to get active and will still have the self control to eat well. Might end up getting panera for dinner tonight, because soup is always nice when I'm not feeling well. It's easy to fit that into my calories, but we'll see what the sodium does to my weight tomorrow hahah.

7/10- 164.57/11- 164.07/12- 165.47/13- DNW7/14- DNW - Been a long weekend. BF's coworker was able to get her RV rolled upright and we helped break into it. Managed to salvage quite a bit more than I expected from it. It was awful smelling. Between the heat, humidity, and being trapped in a waterlogged RV, I was not feeling 100% after Saturday. Sunday we had more rain which led to minor flooding (but flooding nonetheless, as if we need more) so we were cancelled from SAR. BF and I volunteered for next weekend if they still needed teams. I didn't meal prep but I'll make my lunch and 1st dinner today. I'll cook the second dinner tomorrow which will leave leftovers for Wednesday and Thursday. No gym this morning, I was absolutely exhausted. We had major storms that kept me awake half the night and it simply wasn't worth it to lose out on sleep for the gym. Hopefully the rest of the week will be better.6 -
Restarting, after a long absence... I've found success on MFP and this group in the past and ready to do it again. I was slender and fit my entire life until menopause hit in my early 40s and have been struggling with my weight ever since. I will be doing well with my fitness and lifestyle choices and then either life stresses or recently injuries cause a set back and I gain 20 lbs. (or more) super quick. This will be my 4th time in 8 years to lose this weight. Determined to make it the last time I have to do this!

7/10:
167.4 lbs. I'm recovering from an injury - currently on week 5 of an expected 8-to-10-week recovery, so mostly sedentary all day, steps have dropped from my usual 10-20,000 per day to well under 2,000 daily. I have started in the last few days some non-weight baring exercises to keep my body somewhat moving but my calorie burn is obviously way down…weight loss will be slow until I can start moving again like normal but committed to persevere!
7/11:
167.4 lbs. No change on the scale from yesterday but it was a successful day none the less. Ate within my plan and seems like 5 days in, the crazy hunger of always wanting something (specifically junk) is at bay and the food noise has quieted. If nothing else, I am feeling better eating healthier!
7/12:
167.6 lbs. no reasons for a real gain, just weighed in a couple hours earlier today than usual, chalking this up to normal body fluctuations. I'm eating well and, in a deficit, and finding small ways to exercise that don't impact my injury, so these are all positive changes. Change on the scale will eventually happen, right now I'll just focus on creating sustainable life choices that work for me long term.
7/13:
167.7 lbs. Had a nice, relaxing day yesterday and got in two 20-minute floor workouts that were non-weight baring, ate within my calorie deficit and got to bed early. Today marks 1 week without any alcoholic beverages, which feels great! My plan is not to give up alcohol completely but I'm certainly limiting it during this weight loss journey. Thinking the 167.4 weigh in was the anomaly and this is an accurate weight for where I am today. Eventually the work being put in will be reflected on the scale.
7/14: 166.5 lbs. There's that whoosh I've been looking for! I made a concerted effort to move more yesterday and tackled a bunch of laundry that needed to be put away and ended up decluttering and organizing my closet - that added in about an extra 1,000 steps to my day. The extra time on my feet seems okay on my injury, so will keep trying to get in a few more easy steps where I can.

SW Rnd 302 132.0
7/10 133.0 I actually had a small serving of angel hair and fresh sourdough bread. I expected the uptick to be worse.
7/11 134.0 Late salty supper? Or continued reaction to carby dinner the night before? I’ll ride the wave 🏄♀️ 🌊 I did something to my knee just walking in the house yesterday. I plan to go to water fitness but I’m not sure about some of the exercises.
7/12 133.5 (corrected my dates) Yesterday was a good day. My knee feels better but not perfect. Will take it easy but I think I need to make a couple of loaves of bread for friends.
7/13 132.0 I didn’t make bread yesterday. Met DD and DGGS for lunch and DSIL joined us briefly after his eye appointment.
7/14 132.0 Terrible night, couldn’t get to sleep. T-bone and asparagus for OMAD today. Need to mix up a couple of protein shakes to have on hand, if needed.
