Hopefully it will stay that way. Iβve still got time to turn this thing back around somewhat before the end of the challenge. Itβs time to take a good look at myself in the mirror, as Michael would say. Itβs time for me to change my ways.

I missed checking in yesterday for the first time in just under two years. Iβm busy catching up reading everyoneβs posts. I will not follow my usual format until I get home from the beach. I ended up having an ice cream cone last night after a long, terrific day but guess whatβ¦ So what?! I made a decision to not track while on this trip but to simply play it smart. We are having a terrific time. Iβve read through everyoneβs posts, and I am impressed with the support and encouragement offered the past few daysβ¦ I miss you all so much!I have not ποΈββοΈ, but I have gone way over 10k steps each dayβ¦ as I write this Iβm already over 10k today. Brought resistance bands & jump rope, but they havenβt been engaged yet.
Below is my version of a protein bowl: arugula, super blend, green onion, baked chicken, spaghetti squash & avocado. Drizzle of EVO & fresh lemon. LOVE! Whoever said eating healthy is boring or not satisfying? Zero denial here. But I must admit, itβs been a long journey getting me to the point where I am 100% satisfied with this lunch! I love it!Sending πͺπ» intentions to all!

- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies β I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

Then out for a lunch date, did ok with food choices and did my best to log them, I did have a beer. Counted that as my big meal and just had a light dinner before heading out to see Mom. At the end of the day, I still had 71 calories left despite going out, I'll take that as a win.
Every Monday night my sisters and I go to the Knights of Columbus Bingo night with Mom (87 YO). She won twice last night; a whopping $45 (she had to split them) but yelling bingo always puts her in a good mood. First time in a while I haven't met my daily step count, or get my Fly Lady chores done. Extra duty today! It's going to be a hot and steamy one so need to get out for our walk early.

7/11 - 169.0 - local seafood market I buy from having special on lobster rolls today. I'm buying one for dinner. Planning trip to gym for Strength workout. Cardio afterwards. Going to be a good Friday!!
7/12 - 167.2 - friends coming to my house today. Beautiful day to go to the beach! Now, if I can stay away from her baked goodies. Her hubby doing some minor repairs at my house.

7/14 - 168.0 - book club and lunch. This sounds awful, but the member who is hosting is having memory problems. Her luncheons have not been good, so hopefully won't be a challenge not to overindulge. She doesn't want to give up hostess duties as she has enough awareness to know "something" going on within her. Other members are supporting herβ¦..who knows what our futures will be.

A good start to the round thanks to reasonable eating and excellent exercise. I rode my bike about 19 miles; about half of it was in heart rate zone 3. The bad part was it was the heat of the day. I downed a liter of LMNT drink during the ride and immediately afterward.We belong to a CSA (community supported agriculture.) The farmer gives us a bag full of freshly picked veggies every Tuesday, based on what is ripe this week. This week had the most beautiful kale I have ever seen. That is where my appreciation for kale stops. BUT, DW stir fried it with a bunch of other veggies and it changed everything. Very delicious.
Happy Birthday to Jeff. So, I will have two opportunities for ice cream today. π I hope I can maintain this number.

OK I have a three-day streak for meeting all goals. Just love the fact you attend weekly bingo with your sisters & momβ¦ I imagined her shouting βbingoβ - Love! Now reminiscing of my darling momβ¦ Gone now almost 25 yrs (would be 95 this month). Iβm sure you cherish each moment.
My mom set a wise example for us. In her early 50s she started βJazzerciseβ classes (retired teacher). While the men in my family were all superior athletes, she tended toward βstillβ life (ceramics, bridge, etc,). When she picked up Jazzercise, we all cheered her on! She did not need to βworkβ on her figureβ¦ She watched what she ate with precision tho. In my parents retired years, they embraced an active, healthy lifestyle. I am thankful for their example. I understand how food habits can be generational and I am more than thankful for the leg up.
I understand this post is not directly related to βJGMTDβ, but I find that in this stage of my journey, I must continue to examine the βwhat & whyβ I am the way I amβ¦ My firm belief that mind/body/soul must all be fully nurtured to strive for my best self.

7/10 β 129.0 The ice cream I bought for my sister (arriving tonight) is now gone. I guess I pre-gamed my stress eating that typically happens when she is here. Sheβll be staying with us until mid-day Monday. All around, I am going to try and handle things better. Oh, I did the math. I was about 1500 calories over by the time I got done. :β(
7/11 β 128.4 Made it through yesterday fine. Planned ahead and tracked completely. I did go over my target by 100, but thoughtfully decided to. Not an uncontrolled binge. My big success was that I weighed out a portion of ice cream (gram setting on scale) and tracked it, instead to treating the whole container as a single portion, which is not uncommon for me.
7/12 β 127.6 Good to see these numbers again. I think is was round 299 that I saw them for a couple days. I handled yesterday well again. No binge eating. Again, weighed ice cream. Sister asked me what I was doing, by weighing the ice cream. I told her that I have no βstopβ button, and she laughed (not a mean one). Sis and I are very different. She was voted best body AND most likely to succeed for her graduating class. I always joked that that getting both was not fair. Sis has NEVER had eating problems. Anyhow, today, Iβve got some projects and at the end of the day I am babysitting both grandkids ALONE for the first time ever. I am bringing my electric ice cream maker that has not been used in at least 10 years. Curious what a 5 and 2 year old will think of that. Last night, DD fell on a step and was at urgent care. Claim is bad sprained ankle of her right (driving) foot. Hopefully tonight is on for her and my babysitting.Have a good day all!
7/13 β 127.2 Had a good day. Closing back in on the 127.0 that I saw a couple rounds ago. Yesterday went well, though according to my tracking I did go over, but everything was accounted for. Babysitting the boys went well and gives me confidence enough to say I can do it again. :) Yay! Today is fairly busy with mom visits and working on the stuff in her apartment. I am trying to continually keep ahead of βstuffβ collecting there. We are ordering pizza to be delivered to the assisted living for dinner. Two slices and that is it.
7/14 β 127.4 Did well (enough) yesterday. Happy with the X.4 as it is the same general number as the X.2 from yesterday. Did have two slices of a deluxe topped pizza and measured ice cream at dinner time. Was spot on. Then I saw some pretzels leftover from hubbyβs Saturday fishing trip. I got into them, but stopped at about two servings, putting me over by about 250 cal for the day. I am ok with this. Sis leaves today, so I think I have handled her visit well from the point of view of not binging. NOW, I need to make sure I donβt do a POST visit binge. Yes, I have done that a number of times. Dinner tonight is at MILβs, she is serving tripe to those that eat it. Not me. I should be ok not overeating this evening. :P
7/15 β 128.0 so yes, sis leaving did let me let loose a bit. I had eaten enough calories for the day before noon. Afternoon went well. MILβs went well. I hardly ate from the non-tripe food, which was fine as (No surprise) as I was not hungry due to my actions earlier in the day. This worked out well as I fed and played with 2 yr old DGS#2 while mom got to enjoy a meal. Came home, and was still not hungry but proceeded to get into some ice cream and most of a box of black liquorice crows. Today will be good. Busy, and hubby is eating out. Iβll sort myself. Letβs see what tomorrow brings.

Yesterday: πΆββοΈ16k, healthy macros, appropriate portions. Good water. First time @ beach vacay with π«alcohol. Do NOT miss it at all! Especially after viewing so many βover-drinkingβ parents around their children. Am I judging? Yes. No apologies here.
We also made the decision to eat-in all meals @ the condo - prepare, eat, clean-up all as a familyβ¦ Itβs been wonderful family time! (Both hubby & I enjoy all things kitchen). However, Iβm almost 67 & have always made dining out a primary activity for most meals while on vacayβ¦ This has been a wonderful change of pace and deeply satisfying.Have a great day! ποΈ

Β - Didn't do much over the weekend. I loved the taste of Oath protein (the clear ones) so I bought some more before Amazon Prime days were over. This time I bought the Coconut one and it arrived yesterday. I haven't tried it yet but plan on working it into my macros today. The lemon one was so good and I pray this flavor is just as good! Trying to motivate myself into working out, I have been so tired lately. I think I may need to look into taking a B12 supplement. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good quality B12?7/15: 215Β Β It's so odd that our weight fluctuatesΒ as much as it does. Although it's not a good feeling that the weight went up, I still like weighing everyday to help keep me accountable. I tried the Coconut Pina ColadaΒ clear protein shake and it's just as good as the lemon one! I think these will be my new favorites for a while. I only got in one 30 minute exercise yesterday. I had planned for two 30 minute sessions. I feel like I juggle so much and I am all over the place. I have plans written out and time blocked off, I just have to be more mindful of sticking to my plans. Today's schedule only allows me a 30 minute exercise session but I will see what I can do to add some additional activity.Β π

7/12-137-Stuck to my plan and am glad. Off to see our adult boys and meet the parents of one of the girlfriends. Will get to see my dad too. Wonβt be around a scale until Tuesday.

Restarting, after a long absence... I've found success on MFP and this group in the past and ready to do it again. I was slender and fit my entire life until menopause hit in my early 40s and have been struggling with my weight ever since. I will be doing well with my fitness and lifestyle choices and then either life stresses or recently injuries cause a set back and I gain 20 lbs. (or more) super quick. This will be my 4th time in 8 years to lose this weight. Determined to make it the last time I have to do this!

167.4 lbs. I'm recovering from an injury - currently on week 5 of an expected 8-to-10-week recovery, so mostly sedentary all day, steps have dropped from my usual 10-20,000 per day to well under 2,000 daily. I have started in the last few days some non-weight baring exercises to keep my body somewhat moving but my calorie burn is obviously way downβ¦weight loss will be slow until I can start moving again like normal but committed to persevere!

167.4 lbs. No change on the scale from yesterday but it was a successful day none the less. Ate within my plan and seems like 5 days in, the crazy hunger of always wanting something (specifically junk) is at bay and the food noise has quieted. If nothing else, I am feeling better eating healthier!

167.6 lbs. no reasons for a real gain, just weighed in a couple hours earlier today than usual, chalking this up to normal body fluctuations. I'm eating well and, in a deficit, and finding small ways to exercise that don't impact my injury, so these are all positive changes. Change on the scale will eventually happen, right now I'll just focus on creating sustainable life choices that work for me long term.

167.7 lbs. Had a nice, relaxing day yesterday and got in two 20-minute floor workouts that were non-weight baring, ate within my calorie deficit and got to bed early. Today marks 1 week without any alcoholic beverages, which feels great! My plan is not to give up alcohol completely but I'm certainly limiting it during this weight loss journey. Thinking the 167.4 weigh in was the anomaly and this is an accurate weight for where I am today. Eventually the work being put in will be reflected on the scale.
7/14: 166.5 lbs. There's that whoosh I've been looking for! I made a concerted effort to move more yesterday and tackled a bunch of laundry that needed to be put away and ended up decluttering and organizing my closet - that added in about an extra 1,000 steps to my day. The extra time on my feet seems okay on my injury, so will keep trying to get in a few more easy steps where I can.
7/15: 165.5 lbs. Yesterday was my highest step count in weeks since I injured my foot, yay! So happy to see some progress in my mobility and then even better to see it reflected on the scale :) I was "influenced" yesterday to start an arm workout program I saw on TikTok, all the posts kept saying how challenging it was but that it was only 6-7 minutes, I though how challenging could that beβ¦.turns out in fact it is! It's a 14-day workout plan, on to day 2 today.

A little bit about me: I'm 33 years old, female, 160cm (5ft 2.5in) tall. I have a 2yo son who is so full of energy and keeps me eternally busy! I generally keep fit doing judo (although I have injured my knee right now). I have crohns and am currently working with my IBD team to try and get myself into remission (inflammation markers are down, but they are tweaking the medication to hopefully get it even lower). I weigh wearing clothes so my actual weight fluctuates a lot, but I'm more concerned about trend.

7/14 - 80.9 - Weekend catchup - I was feeling really unwell over the weekend so didn't check in, very quick summery: Friday: Felt tired all day and low level nausea, but c/o was fairly okay considering, c/i was also okay. Saturday: Still low level nausea still but ate okay, judo helped with calories out (although I was only coaching). Did not sleep well and then woke up with terrible nausea (like, "I'm about to throw up" nausea) at 1am and that stayed around for an hour until it just settled to normal low level nausea and I was able to go back to sleep. Sunday: Felt awful, heavy fatigue, low level nausea, serious brain fog and headache, did not want to eat anything. Had to eat some toast to take with my medication (guess what it does if you take it on an empty stomach? More nausea! Ha!), but that's pretty much all I ate all day. In the evening my DH made me pizza which I only had a couple of slices of, although I did feel a little better afterwards (I have always felt better with nausea after eating, this is one of the reasons why, unlike the majority of crohns patients, I put on weight during a flair, and not unexpectantly lose it). Feeling a little better this morning and I had my Crohn's injection this morning, so if this is all because of a Crohn's flair I should start to feel better (I do worry that my last injection might have got desensitised while I was travelling somehow), if it's something else then that should make no difference what so ever.

I mean yes I'm probably wearing the least weight in clothes than I have all round, even so, that's the first time it's ticked down below 80kg with clothes on for a long time. Taking this as a win deffo. Food was okay yesterday, had a salad for lunch that was actually satisfying and didn't bother eating some of my bread for dinner as I wasn't hungry for it. Leaving food if I don't want to eat it is definitely novel for me, I've spent so much time just eating the food because it's there
