    After this round I currently weigh 63.8kg (140.6 lb). Only lost 0.2kg, but it's expected as I completed half of my goals..

    - Unfortunately I didn't log my food/drinks into My Fitness Pal 😌

    - With the exception of a few sneaky ice creams and hot chips I ate pretty healthy

    - I had too much alcohol

    - I exercised 3 rather than 4 x per week.

    At least I know what I need to improve for next time! 😁

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 303 (my 233rd).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end

    I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.

    Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

    Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

    7/21 141.6 (trend 141.8) no structured walking, heavy rain all day. We spent the day with grown up DD, DS & all our little DGC.

    7/22 141.6 (trend 141.8) 7.66 miles walked.

    7/23 143 (trend 142) 9.39 miles walked.

    7/24 141.6 (trend 141.9) 8.19 miles walked.

    7/25 142.8 (trend 142) 6.36 miles before a funeral and celebration of life of an aunt; practised portion control & tried to choose as sensibly as possible.

    7/26 DNW - away in the caravan in the Clent Hills, 11.3 miles walked. Finished my 2nd course of antibiotics for the infected insect bite on my back, but it is still there 😢, it's now been diagnosed as an abscess, have to go to the hospital on Wednesday to have it removed.

    7/27 DNW - 9.53 miles & 162 floors walked up & around the Clent Hills. 

    7/28 141.8 – a nice walk to & around the nearby village before we packed up & headed home; 7.45 miles walked.

    7/29 142.8 – 8 miles walked. Didn’t achieve my goal this round; I’ll carry it forward to the next round.

    A little bit about me: I'm 33 years old, female, 160cm (5ft 2.5in) tall. I have a 2yo son who is so full of energy and keeps me eternally busy! I generally keep fit doing judo and walking my very mad spaniel. I have Crohn's disease and am pretty sure I'm currently flaring which mean I'm struggling with fatigue and nausea. I weigh wearing clothes so my actual weight fluctuates a lot, but I'm more concerned about trend.

    Fell off the update wagon at the end of last round (I did keep daily weighing though), really struggling with my energy levels and definitely overdid it last week with a very stressful & busy week.

    7/20 - 81.0
    7/21 - 81.1 - Uuuuuuugh. Yesterday was not good. I felt rough (still not feeling great today), I just ran out of spoons around lunchtime and just struggled through the rest of the day. Ended up with a takeaway for dinner and then just ate an entire chocolate egg left over from Easter just because it was there and I was feeling sad and tired. It wasn't even that good tbh. I'm still feeling pretty rubbish today. I don't think I have that many spoons to play with today either.
    7/22 - DNW - Oooops, as I walked into the office this morning I realised that I did not step on the scales. Was sure it would have been high though as I finally made it to a Judo session last night! It's the first time in ages I've been training and not coaching, exciting! I mean my fatigue was hitting me hard and I almost didn't go, but I got there and told myself that I'd just get on the mat and see how the session went. Aaaand my knee wasn't great as there was lots of twisty motions in the session, but I was sensible and didn't do anything that made me worried. Nausea hit about half way through the session (I thought I had got past going to Judo and feeling sick sigh) but I still made it and I still moved my body in fun ways. Did get a chance to test out my shoulder too, still weak, but I don't think it's stopping me from doing my movements anymore so going forward I think I can count it as only having one injury (and one chronic illness) to worry about. Eating was fine for the day.
    7/23 - 80.2 - Okay, well that's pretty okay. Yesterday wasn't a great day food wise. Aside from being STARVING at around 11:15 (too early for lunch, but too late for breakfast), someone brought cake into the office, and then someone else brought more cake into the office. Aside from that it was okay. Still practicing my "if I'm not hungry at dinner I'll just not eat it all" thing, as I almost just mindlessly ate all of my dinner (specifically the rice) that I wasn't that fussed about eating, but I caught myself and left the bit I didn't actually want. And I'm sure that made up for all that cake right? However I'm feeling pleased today as I've actually looked at trendweight and it's telling me that I'm sticking to my 0.25kg per week loss target. It's slow, but considering I'm flaring and injured, I kept my target low so I'm happy with this.
    7/24 - 81.0 - Ugh, fluctuations I know, but I just want to be done with the 81s. I just got to keep reminding myself that the trend is still going down. Anyway yesterday was …. fine. Got more steps than normal but fatigue hit me hard in the afternoon. I was supposed to be working and honestly I did not get anywhere near as much as I wanted done. Actually went and had a micro nap at about 4ish. Eating was fine save for the coffee and cake I had to keep me going through the morning.

    7/28 - 81.2 - Continuing to feel rubbish. House move is stressing me out and my fatigue levels are really high at the moment which is making it very difficult to do things. I am really struggling managing everything right now and calorie counting and activity have fallen waaaay down the priority list. But I'm going to remain positive. I think I need to reevaluate my goals for the next month or so (until our house move is sorted…hopefully), focusing on just getting the basics done and managing my symptoms over actively pushing for a scale loss.
    7/29 - 81.0 - Well, I can tell I had my medication yesterday as my fatigue went from severe to mild as the day went on. Got a surprise lunch from work (not that much of a surprise, but I just forgot we had a lunch and learn), and managed to not eat all the sandwiches on offer. Still struggling managing everything, but I've sat down and worked on my goals for next couple of rounds:

    • Weigh every day (except when I'm away without scales)
    • In bed by 10:30pm
    • Maintaining is good enough
    • Knee exercises daily
    • Alcohol free (except when we move, I will open some bubbles when that happens)
    • Track Crohn's symptoms

    If I'm able to get those consistently then I'll be happy and I will manage the scales once the housemove is sorted.

    July 20 - 29, 2025

    63 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida). 
    SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
    SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss if2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126 SW: 127.6 Since my weight is slowing coming back down, I’ve added back in history details INCLUDING my maintenance numbers. In January, it seemed silly including my goal was to maintain 124 – 126 when I was weighing 138. Those maintenance numbers are in sight now. Just need to get there. 

    SW: 129.6

    7/20 – 130.0 What am I doing? Three days in a row. Today is the bridal shower. Fortunately today’s dress is a little forgiving. Thursday I head to the seamstress for MOG dress alterations. Gotta stop this!

    7/21 – 127.4 Too good to me true, and does not make sense. I weighed more than once, and it came up the same. If I were in Mass I would get out my travel scale to verify. Just going to have to roll with it and see if it makes sense tomorrow as well. 

    Yesterday was a long day. Four and a half hours of driving. Shower was fine, and easy to not eat. Today, DH and I are going to drive up to Booth Bay Harbor for some re-con work. In two weeks, DD and fam are visiting and the DH, DSIL and DGS#1 are going to “boat camp” up in BBH while DD, DGS#2 and I hand out at the beach with her two and our two cats (condo is a 2 bedroom ;P )

    7/22 – 127.8 Yesterday, was still not back to normal, regarding eating behavior. So still suspicious of this number. Tomorrow will be telling. I head back to MA tonight. If the scale matches tomorrow, then these numbers are legit.

    7/23 – 129.2 Scale reality. Back in MA this morning. Some possibility this is high as we went to a matinee movie yesterday, followed by quickly cooked hot dogs and potato salad before packing up and driving home. But also strong possibility this is accurate, and my scale in ME needs new batteries. Regardless, disappointed in my recent actions/decisions. I know what I am doing and have allowed myself to go off track.

    7/24 – 129.0 OK, we are going to assume this is where I am at. It does make the most sense at the moment.

    7/25 – 128.0 A very good calorie day. Refreshing to make it through the day! BTW I am WAY behind reading posts this round. I will try and find some free time to catch up! Oh, and apmt with the seamstress went well!!
     
    7/26 – 126.8 I am so confused. Here is one of those low numbers again, and this is a different scale than the 127s earlier in the round. After three days sorting things at mom’s assisted living facility, I finally have a catch up day. I might even wait until Monday to go back. Will decide as I go, but I need to get caught up on things, and maybe, just maybe, take a walk or go to the gym.

    7/27 – 128.4 Yesterday was spot on THEN at 7 PM I drove to the grocery store, bought two pints of on sale B&J’s ice cream, and then ate them both. I felt disgusting!! Slept badly all night as I was unusually hot. Was that from trying to digest all that ice cream? Glad I don’t have another cholesterol test soon.

    also, yesterday, I caught up going through the whole thread. Had three pages of notes. Typed up my comments, then the gosh darned MFP editor triggered a delete of the whole thing. Did not have the time/energy to start over

    7/28 – 129.6 repeat!

    7/29 – 129.0 Round is over. Yesterday was good. Thought about evening binging, but I had my Invisalign and elastics in, which acted as a deterrent.

    I've just been bouncing around 143-146ish without making any real progress for far too long and I'm getting frustrated with myself. It is time to get serious and lose a few pounds for good.

    Mini goal: 140
    Ultimate goal: 130

    Rnd 301 Ending Weight: 144.2
    Rnd 302 Ending Weight: 145.3

    7/20: 144.2. A good walk, a 4 mile run on treadmill and food was within goal.

    7/21: 144.2. A short walk, no run, but food was within goal. Overall, a pretty lazy Sunday.

    7/22: DNW

    7/23: 144.7. I'm having such a hard time breaking through this plateau! Long walk, 5 mile treadmill run, and food was good.

    7/24: 143.6. My boys had physical/speech therapy first thing in the morning so we didn't have a chance to go for a walk before it got too hot. I also skipped out on the gym. So I ended the day with very little movement. But food was good and within goals.

    7/25: 142.1. Happy of this low, but very suspicious of it. I'm fully experienced to be back up tomorrow. Food was good, went on a walk, but skipped the gym again.

    7/26: 142.3. Yesterday was another lazy day. My stomach didn't feel good so I didn't eat much. No walk or run.

    7/27: 144.8. I did a 10 mile run, which made me eat a bit extra throughout the day. I also finished the night with a few beers with friends.

    7/28: 145.2. I didn't eat bad yesterday, but just too much. I didn't track but I have no doubt it was way over. I ran 4 miles but no walks. Back to tracking today.

    7/29: 143.3. Food was good yesterday, although I didn't track. I went for a short walk and a 3 mile run.

    I'm happy to be ending the round with this number, but don't really know if I have lost anything with all of the wild swings up and down this round. I have been working hard, with a couple of exceptions, so hopefully I lost something rather than just shifting water weight back and forth.

    7/20  134.0  OMAD yesterday was Chapala’s chili rellenos omelet.  I ate about 2/3 and 1/2 of the beans and rice as well as chips. And finished it for breakfast late this morning. 

    7/21  132.5  I got up late this morning and was reading messages and had to go to water fitness so I forgot to post. So here I am better late than never!

    7/22  133.5  Probably due to higher salt

    7/23  132.5  Got a new phone yesterday but my contacts were really gone,  gone.  Trying to get back to Keto the way I know works. I tracked my intake for the first time in months?!? (I checked, my last tracking effort was May 31)

    7/24  132.5  Lunch out today. Getting the same thing I had on 7/19 & 7/20. I plan to eat 1/2 today and 1/2 tomorrow.

    7/25  133.0  I guess yesterday was a good news day for several of us!  I don’t think I’ve said anything, but in January, my retina specialist referred me to an eyelid specialist because she said there was a suspicious divot in my lower right eyelid and she wanted him to do a biopsy. I couldn’t get an appointment until April! He didn’t think it looked cancerous, gave me some drops yada yada used those went back in two weeks. He said it looked good. Come back in three months. Three months was yesterday and he said he can’t tell there was ever anything there. No biopsy, he believes it was a blocked tear duct and I’m good to go. I’ve been worrying about it ever since the retina specialist said do a biopsy. Maybe now I can get my act together. Eating was within reason. Had about 6 oz of 1800 Light Margarita after we got home.

    7/26  133.0 I ate half of my leftover around noon. Drank lots of coffee and water. The scale flickered on 128 yesterday and 127 today. But reconsidered and insisted on 133. (931)

    7/27  132.0 Yesterday Burnt ends, 1 waffle fry, 1/2 c Rebel Butter Pecan (meh) TODAY DH and Imet friends at the pool at 8:30. I walked laps for over an hour in waist to chest deep water. No step count or HRM  (1063.0)

    7/28  132.0  Art Quilts meeting across town today. 

    7/29  131.5  I’m happy with some progress this round. OMAD was Crack Chicken at 5 last night. The only other nutrition I had was what was in my first coffee. (1T Mary Newport blend and 2T heavy cream)

    If it did not agree to post my goals-met for the previous day I would have failed them all yesterday. Especially the exercise. I managed to walk in the extreme heat and humidity yesterday ONLY to meet my goal. I exceeded the goal because “why not?” If I drench my clothes, I might as well make it worthwhile.

    The scale uptick is no doubt the quality of the food more so than the quantity.

    Narrowly missed my target due to some weakness of will. DW tossed in a flatbread for lunch and then forced me to eat a lot of it. (I made up that last part about force feeding) I guess I should be happy I am only a bit over my starting weight this round after that time away.

    7/20 - DNW

    7/21 - 299.1 resumed food tracking today - I have never seen a 3 to start my weight and I don't ever want to

    7/22 - 297.1 tracked everything

    7/23 - 295.6 got my three day streak for tracking, first time in years..

    7/24 - 295.1 shedding water and vacation week from the week prior, having said that if I hadn't resumed tracking I'm confident I'd still be gaining

    7/25 - 296.2 tracked everything but having a knee issue that is impacting my movement.. The scale can't drop every day anyway!

    7/26 - 297 no differences again yesterday, everything tracked, just riding the wave. Wondering if my leg pain is actually due to sciatica.

    7/27 - 297.2 definitely exceeded my calorie goal yesterday but I did say no to wine with dinner which would have made it worse. I also tracked everything rather than throwing in the towel. Focusing on being in range today. We are on our boat for the day.

    7/28 - 298.3 I continue to track so I just need to trust the process. Too early to need any adjustments yet. Need more data. We had an awesome day on the boat yesterday and I slept awesome so my week has started off well.

    Restarting, after a long absence... I've found success on MFP and this group in the past and ready to do it again. I was slender and fit my entire life until menopause hit in my early 40s and have been struggling with my weight ever since. I will be doing well with my fitness and lifestyle choices and then either life stresses or recently injuries cause a set back and I gain 20 lbs. (or more) super quick. This will be my 4th time in 8 years to lose this weight. Determined to make it the last time I have to do this!

    2018 SW = 172.0 lbs. End Weight = 141.5 lbs.

    2022 SW = 193.9 lbs. End Weight = 143.6 lbs.

    2024 SW = 165.8 lbs. End Weight = 144.6 lbs.

    Start Weight on 7/6/25 = 169.7lbs. Goal Weight = Under 145 lbs. (5'4, 55-year-old female)

    End Round 301: 167.7 lbs.

    End Round 302: 165.3 lbs.

    Goals for Round 303: Back from vacation and need to lose the vacation weight gain and then go from there.

    7/22: 170.4 lbs. Yikes! Back from vacation and that number stings a little…clearly did not diet or make the best choices but I also didn't overeat or binge. Hoping this is not a "real" number and that it drops fairly quickly!

    7/26: 168.4 lbs. My brain was not ready to go back to "dieting" after vacation mode, so I took 3 days off from weighing & tracking and instead practiced intuitive eating…dropped 2 of the vacation pounds - so that's a start! Back to plan today with tracking and eating to my goal. I thinking easing back in, was the right choice, as I feel really strong today in my confidence to reach my goals. Hope to be back at my Round 301 starting weight by the end of this round.

    7/27: 167.0 lbs. Slept in this morning, so my weigh-in was later than normal, so can possibly expect tomorrow's number to naturally fluctuate a little higher than this. Yesterday was good for tracking and food choices + back on limiting alcohol and plan to keep that going until a social event on the 5th but will adjust if something comes up before that. Little movement yesterday other than mini golf with the family and grocery shopping, so need some intentional movement today.

    7/28: 166.5 lbs. Very good & productive day yesterday…ate to plan, got in a 40-minute non-weight bearing workout and did some housework organization that needed to be done. Still a little over a pound to lose to get back to pre-vacation weight….

    7/29: 167.0 lbs. Had a late-night snack that put me 390 calories over my calorie goal but was still 200 calories under my calories burned for the day. So, I only burned 200 calories instead of the 590 that I could have - I'm okay with this slight fluctuation. See you in the next round!

    That’s a loss of -1.4 pounds this round but I don’t look at it that way… I’m fluctuating between 131.x and 133.x which I guess is my new fluctuation range. All while trying to build muscle & agility. Giving myself a pat on the back re: consistency. NSV: An A+ on reflection and nurturing my soul. The additional movement is a great goal to have.     7/20 We celebrated my son's birthday with his high school friends and I had to get everything ready. We had fun but did have a bite of bday cookie. I had a good dinner but ate fries.

     7/21 Today was I was feeling a little down. Coming off vacation and party planning I needed a day of nothing. I have some health issues and some tests are coming up so I took the time for scheduling of that and relaxing. I had bible study tonight. I did not exercise today. I have an early morning tomorrow for a health test and a dr appt. After that hope to get in gym time. 

    Hope I am doing this right. First time here.

    7/22 I think I need to weigh myself in the morning not right after a rice meal. 😒 Today I had some dr appt. Everything showed up good. Thankful!. Then I came home and took a nap because I got up early and didn't sleep well. Then I took my dog with me to smoothie king and we did a little shopping. Came home to hubby having dinner. He is a keeper and then we took a long, sweaty humid walk. I came back and did some strength training.

    7/23 Mahjong today. Excited to go and play.

    7/24 Dropped my kid a church camp today. Waiting to walk and workout later when it is a little cooler.

    @iLive2Walk we pick him up tomorrow from camp. It’s been nice spending time with my husband and having some couple time.


    7/26 Did not get to exercise today. It was so hot. We had a birthday dinner in Charlotte tonight so that took up my night. It was fun but very long. I got home late and had to shower and now finally in bed. My son comes home tomorrow. I miss him. ❤️

    7/27 My son got home super happy. He had fun! We are going to see fantastic 4 tonight. So I will take on more calories than needed because movie popcorn is my weakness. It will be my guilty cheat for the weekend for sure. It's so hot walking is tough. Doing a video inside today

    7/28 I was scared to step on the scale today with going over yesterday and eating movie popcorn. The plus in this is I am paying attention. Before I think I thought the calories were free.

    7/29 well I went back up. I did it all right yesterday so who knows. I will keep moving forward.

However, I didn’t drink the 8 oz glass of 2% milk I’d added on in order to increase the calories a bit more (while adding a bit of protein). It was just too hot and I was satisfied without it. So calories were still a tad lower than goal but more than in the past few days. My handyman never showed up yesterday and no word from him today. No cancellation text or call either because if he doesn’t show up it means he’s not coming, right? What does it take to get anyone to work in this one-horse town? It’s hot and we are surrounded by lakes and a river. I bet I know where he is today! Just so you get a little idea about my town. We have one small building inspection building with one inspector employed. I called up once (on a beautiful summer day) to set up an appointment and got the answering machine. It said he was “fishin” today and to try again tomorrow. That’s just how things work around here. I’m originally from a large suburban area outside of Detroit so I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it!

    💥💥💥 07/29-185.4 ❌ (Trend Weight: 188.2) I hated posting my weight with the big red X today (gain) but I know it’s only a weird fluctuation so I’ll get over it. My calories were extra low again yesterday (884). Took son to a bar/restaurant after his dr appt. I ordered the 2 pc Chicken strip basket. I had one strip and ¾ of the small amount of fries. I ate the other strip later for dinner. One fiber one bar later (70 cals) and I was done for the day. I thought that the restaurant would help me increase my calories for the day but the protein backfired. I guess I’ll try to get in more today as I don’t want to slow the metabolism. I did plenty of extra exercise yesterday too so none of it makes sense but weight loss is not linear, right? I do believe the extreme heat (still no A/C yet) is contributing to my lack of appetite. Anyway, Great job showing up and showing off this round everyone! See you in 304.

    7/29 - 166.7 - The uptick I expected from a large increase in calories/macros starting with coach. I also am battling DOMS all through my legs which also typically comes with some water retention based on historical notes of similar situations. Coach has me drinking 100-120oz water daily so I've been pushing hard to reach that goal which I'm sure is going to help with DOMS and lessening the initial weight gain that will come with this increase in macros.

    7/20 186.2 - Kept to my calories and protien, sodium was high. Stress very high. Did some walking but in the wrong shoes so not as much as I could have done.

    7/21 186.5 - MRI day. Stressed out. Did not eat my stress. Went a little over calories (120) becasue I couldn't sleep so I had a bowl of cereal.

    7/22 186 short workout. Hit protein, kept calories. Sleep was still garbage

    7/23 186 no workout, hit protein, kept calories, sleep terrible

    7/24 185.2 Neuro-oncologist appt. EVERYTHING IS OKAY!!! There is no sign of tumor regrowth!! Breakfast out (steel cut oats w/fruit). Hit protein. Stayed in calories. Light workout.

    7/25 185.6 I hate the up and down, particularly because I am SOOOOOO close to a goal (185). New med started, It has me knocked out.
