More than ever, I need to focus on my health. I know what to do, I just need to work on consistency.

    Week 12

Day 78—07/31—145.5 Tried a weighted vest for the first time on my walk with Kaya yesterday. It turned the walk into more of a workout. It had me sweating! Supposedly great for bone health, strength, endurance, and burning more calories. Woke up with some lower back pain (not sure if it’s from the vest or Pilates), but stretching helped. Planning to use it every other day for now.
Yesterday’s workout: Core, pilates, leg extensions (for my knees), walk the dog with a weighted vest.

@bteri107 Dr. Mary Claire Haver swears by a weighted vest. I didn't want to invest in one, so tried weights just wrapped around my waist. It was uncomfortable, but definitely upped the calorie burn on the walk. I also found my low back was sore the next day.

The vest that I got is very comfortable and the weights are evenly distributed. After awhile, you hardly notice you're wearing it. But right away my posture was better. I started with the 12-lb. vest. As I mentioned, I'll start by using it every other day on my walks.
