    Hello friends! ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒป Happy August.

    This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.

    August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and Iโ€™m ready to go today!

    August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for thisโ€ฆ as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!

    August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad Iโ€™m taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.

    August 4: 224.2โ€ฆ Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyoneโ€™s posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.

    August 5: 225.4โ€ฆ logged and doneโ€ฆ overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grassโ€ฆ obviously didnโ€™t work. Asย @deepwoodsladyย has said before.. you canโ€™t out walk a bad diet.

    August 6: 224.2 logged and doneโ€ฆ feeling good. Spend a nice evening with my hubby and felt more relaxed. Loving the logging everything in the morning plan then making adjustments for dinner. Plus Iโ€™m using the Finch app for wellnessโ€ฆ itโ€™s free and helpful for squirrel minds like mine.ย 

    August 7: 224.8 logged and done. Time to go weed whip after dragging my feet all day. Time to push through.

    August 8: 224.4 logged and done. Must clean the pool today. Getting together with a good friend on Saturday after work and hanging out in the backyard swimming and having a margarita.

    Majestic August. Finished July a pound heavier but did step on the scale everyday. Some positive takeaways with the highlight a great group of members trying to be supportive to others as we attain a healthier version of ourselves. Bravo to all.

    08/07-183.8 โœ… (Trend Weight: 186.8) I had an excellent and compliant lunch yesterday but dinner was off the charts at a local ice cream place. The Philly cheesesteak was okay and fit into my macros but the ice cream was ridiculous. I didnโ€™t know it would be that large! (ice cream tacos). Had to share with son and still too much. MUCH too much. I was hundreds over on calories, double the allowed carbs. Not enough protein, fats or fiber. Not a good choice but the scale is down today. Either it will show up later or the exercise helped even though the MFP nightly chart still shows me over after the exercise bike session. Iโ€™m hoping Lady Luck is on my side for this one. Down 0.2 today so Iโ€™ll take it with gratitude!

Trend weight still going down so Iโ€™ll celebrate that small win today and Iโ€™ll just have to get over it.

Round and round and round it goes, where it stops, nobody knows. There is a festival going on nearby today. DD, DGS and I will be going in a little while to give little Owen something to celebrate his healing from the tonsil/adenoid surgery and also have some end-of-summer, back-to-school โ€“soon fun. There will be fair food which is all part of the experience. I will try not to go hog wild. Maybe just be a little bit of a piglet since these types of foods are normally so unavailable to this little community. I donโ€™t want to seriously ruin my progress of late. I will eat some lunch before I leave and that should help.

It wasnโ€™t typical carnival type fare so I was able to resist it all and just stuck to bottled water in the 94โ€ heat. I did buy a loaf of fresh baked bread for home and ate a slab of it last night slathered in butter. But I found it very dry or stale and will have no problem resisting it today. My son & grandson can have it or it can go in the trash. If Iโ€™m going to cheat, it has got to be worth it. I gave up part of my pre-planned dinner for that slab of bread and it definitely was not worth it. Scale still down today because I stayed within calorie limits but carbs were over.

    08/10-183.0 โœ… (Trend Weight โ€“ 186.0) I did very well at the festival. It wasnโ€™t typical carnival type fare so I was able to resist it all and just stuck to bottled water in the 94โ€ heat. I did buy a loaf of fresh baked bread for home and ate a slab of it last night slathered in butter. But I found it very dry or stale and will have no problem resisting it today. My son & grandson can have it or it can go in the trash. If Iโ€™m going to cheat, it has got to be worth it. I gave up part of my pre-planned dinner for that slab of bread and it definitely was not worth it. Scale still down today because I stayed within calorie limits but carbs were over.

    โš“๏ธโš“๏ธโš“๏ธโš“๏ธโš“๏ธ08/11-181.6 โœ… - (Trend Weight: 185.6) My calories were a bit too low yesterday because my dinner was so late that I didnโ€™t find I needed snacks in bed. No snacks = whoosh. However, that is not usually what Iโ€™m able to do. Giving up the snacks in bed would be as bad as giving up Netflix and THAT is not going to happen anytime soon! I donโ€™t want my metabolism to slow so Iโ€™ll be needing some extra calories soon. Wednesday is sonโ€™s hair appointment and I usually take him to lunch or dinner afterward. Iโ€™ll probably get more calories in on that day. The following day is my two DGSโ€™ hair appointments in preparation for school starting. Another day out at the restaurant. Iโ€™ll be careful again on one of those days. I feel I need a bump up to keep the metabolism up.

    โš“๏ธโš“๏ธโš“๏ธโš“๏ธโš“๏ธ08/12-182.6 โŒ (Trend Weight: 185.3) I became very ill last night. It was so bad that I even questioned if it was my heart. A shaky blood sugar drop for sure (Iโ€™m T2D) but so much more than that. Lightheaded, dizzy. Weak, falling to the right. But instinct told me that it was something that food could fix. I had dropped several pounds in just a couple of days so I think it was too much, too fast. I had prelogged lots of healthy food with the right blend of proteins, fiber and healthy fats but that didnโ€™t help. I grabbed my son and grandsonโ€™s pop tarts with milk and it began to fade but not enough. Instinct told me I need the sugars, the carbs and mainly the volume of food in my stomach. 30 minutes later, 2 more pop tarts. It finally resolved. It was like medicine. I cancelled all the rest of my healthy snacks for the night to mitigate damage and took it easy. I tried to exercise on my bike but only got in 16 minutes before I started feeling bad so I stopped. Today I feel a bit weird, off. I will retry to eat strictly healthy and see what happens. This episode was definitely different. I am going to closer monitor my blood sugar levels all day today to see if my doses of Metformin are perhaps becoming too strong since my weight loss this year. This weight correction is definitely one I think I need in the moment. Just a day or two buffer should help.
