Hello friends! 🌸🌻 Happy August.
This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.
August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and I’m ready to go today!
August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for this… as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!
August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad I’m taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.
August 4: 224.2… Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyone’s posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.
August 5: 225.4… logged and done… overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grass… obviously didn’t work. As @deepwoodslady has said before.. you can’t out walk a bad diet.
August 6: 224.2 logged and done… feeling good. Spend a nice evening with my hubby and felt more relaxed. Loving the logging everything in the morning plan then making adjustments for dinner. Plus I’m using the Finch app for wellness… it’s free and helpful for squirrel minds like mine.
August 7: 224.8 logged and done. Time to go weed whip after dragging my feet all day. Time to push through.August 8: 224.4 logged and done. Must clean the pool today. Getting together with a good friend on Saturday after work and hanging out in the backyard swimming and having a margarita.
August 9: 224.8 didn’t log but had a great time. It was so nice to catch up!
August 10: 225 logged late but got it done! Busy day at work
August 11: 225.5 will pre-log for the day… to set me up for structure and success. I am ready for a fun and busy Monday… LET’S GO!
August 12: 223.5 prelogged and ready to go! I love working with a partner at work, but I get more done when I’m alone. 😁 I guess I have the best of both worlds!
August 13: 222.2 will pre-log for continued success. 🥰
August 14: 222.4 prelogged and ready for today! My hubby and I are going to a concert tonight. 🎶
August 15: DNW catching up pre-logging and post-logging. Linkin Park was great! It was great to see them sing their old and new songs. We stayed at the Motorcity hotel and casino and took the shuttle from there to Little Caesar’s Arena. I have to remind myself that I’m 55 and not 25. Had a great time with my hubby.
August 16: 226… prelogging and ready to get thing together.
August 17: 224.6 there we go… getting back on track. A solo Sunday at work.. will be busy… let’s go!

August 19: 222 wowza! Prelogged and ready to go! A solo Tuesday at work and it’s raining… hope to get more done today.
August 20: 222.9 boing! Sometimes I don’t understand my scale… but I like staying in the 220’s. Hand in there friends who are in a low point… we’re here for you. ❤️
August 21: 223.1… prelogged and ready to stop the creep up. Dental cleaning this morning then off to work and sign a contract. Was able to get some of my ducks in a row this morning.
August 22: 224.4… feeling anxious this morning. The contract was cancelled yesterday… need more time and money before moving forward and buying a new home. Totally understandable! 😁 They brought disappointment donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts to help ease the blow. I ate 2 after they left…😬… the scale tells all!
I’m anxious today for the set up of the Grand Opening for tomorrow. The big tent will be set up by professionals…awesome! The 2 small tents will be put up by 2 of our “planning” guys… this is why I’m nervous… they’re very nice… but not very motivated or dependable or accountable..their boss is the same way. SO… I’m bringing in my drill and a change of clothes in case all heck breaks loose. Thank you all for being my daily therapy.

Majestic August. Finished July a pound heavier but did step on the scale everyday. Some positive takeaways with the highlight a great group of members trying to be supportive to others as we attain a healthier version of ourselves. Bravo to all.

08/21-185.6 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.6) I was hoping the drop would be more substantial today. Yesterday I had 1109 calories and 89 carbs. Sodium only slightly elevated, fiber a touch low. I thought it was a good day. However, no TMI before weigh-in today so that probably would have made a nice difference. In the past 1 ½ weeks I have attended a huge festival (food trucks) and very large county fair (food trucks and elephant ears), travel and then a full-on binge. That’s a lot to make up for so I know I need to be patient. So my NSV yesterday….I made something new to up my protein. Beans and rice. I used a mix of red beans, light red kidney beans and canned pinto beans (rinsed) to make a big batch that will last several days. I used a mix of brown rice (2/3) and cauliflower rice (1/3) and added red and green peppers, onions and some canned diced tomatoes along with some seasonings. I’m very proud I’m eating the dish as I have a terrible eating disorder about eating veggies and usually steer clear of almost all of them. I’ve been trying hard to work on that.
⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/22-185.6 🔄 (Trend Weight: 184.7) No TMI x 3 which isn’t helping the cause. Am I at some sort of plateau or is it the bathroom issue right now? I don’t know. Yesterday I had 1134 calories and 79 carbs (mainly from my rice & beans with veggies concoction). Both of those numbers are under my daily goal. I rode the stationary bike for 50 minutes when my usual ride is 30-35 minutes. High fiber, good protein, low sugar and sodium slightly high but still in the 2000’s. It should have been a great day with good results so I am frustrated, for sure. I know I had a few bad days/events in the past two weeks, but getting it back off is a nightmare! I am focusing on making today another good day. DGD’s 5th birthday party is tomorrow. A bit of travel for that and a big bash that will likely add insult to injury. All I can do is move forward, make the best choices I can in my circumstances each and every day and continue getting in exercise or intentional movement daily and keep trusting the process. My body does seem to run from hot to cold quickly so I guess I shouldn’t panic. Have a great weekend everyone!

@jm216 Wishing you a fantastic grand opening. I hope the weather will be fantastic. Up here in Northern Lower Michigan we will be expecting only about an hour of rain this afternoon. I'll be at an outdoor birthday party so those tents will come in handy for me too.

I made that new recipe of beans and rice the other day and have had it for lunch or dinner every day. I thought the fiber in beans were a good thing? I’ve resorted to stool softeners and magnesium oxide the past two days but neither have helped. I’m only being graphic in case anyone can tell me more about how beans affect TMI. Most of you know I am new to most all vegetables. I feel fine but the scale is going nowhere!

Most of you know I am new to most all vegetables. I feel fine but the scale is going nowhere!
⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/24-187.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 185.1) Ten days ago on the 14th I weighed in at my low of 181.8. Today reflects that I am up nearly 6 lbs in 10 days. I’ve had an off day or two including this morning’s weigh-in after the birthday party yesterday. However, I’ve had more good days than bad in those 10 days so I don’t 100% get it. Time to roll up my sleeves and get busy. First stop is to study my food diary much more closely. I’ve got my work cut out for me but honestly am still just very grateful that I’ve been sliding up and down the 180’s instead of the 190’s that I was stuck on for an entire year.

This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.
August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and I’m ready to go today!
August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for this… as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!
August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad I’m taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.
August 4: 224.2… Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyone’s posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.
August 5: 225.4… logged and done… overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grass… obviously didn’t work. As @deepwoodslady has said before.. you can’t out walk a bad diet.
August 6: 224.2 logged and done… feeling good. Spend a nice evening with my hubby and felt more relaxed. Loving the logging everything in the morning plan then making adjustments for dinner. Plus I’m using the Finch app for wellness… it’s free and helpful for squirrel minds like mine.
August 7: 224.8 logged and done. Time to go weed whip after dragging my feet all day. Time to push through.August 8: 224.4 logged and done. Must clean the pool today. Getting together with a good friend on Saturday after work and hanging out in the backyard swimming and having a margarita.
August 9: 224.8 didn’t log but had a great time. It was so nice to catch up!
August 10: 225 logged late but got it done! Busy day at work
August 11: 225.5 will pre-log for the day… to set me up for structure and success. I am ready for a fun and busy Monday… LET’S GO!
August 12: 223.5 prelogged and ready to go! I love working with a partner at work, but I get more done when I’m alone. 😁 I guess I have the best of both worlds!

August 14: 222.4 prelogged and ready for today! My hubby and I are going to a concert tonight. 🎶
August 15: DNW catching up pre-logging and post-logging. Linkin Park was great! It was great to see them sing their old and new songs. We stayed at the Motorcity hotel and casino and took the shuttle from there to Little Caesar’s Arena. I have to remind myself that I’m 55 and not 25. Had a great time with my hubby.

August 22: 224.4… feeling anxious this morning. The contract was cancelled yesterday… need more time and money before moving forward and buying a new home. Totally understandable! 😁 They brought disappointment donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts to help ease the blow. I ate 2 after they left…😬… the scale tells all!
I’m anxious today for the set up of the Grand Opening for tomorrow. The big tent will be set up by professionals…awesome! The 2 small tents will be put up by 2 of our “planning” guys… this is why I’m nervous… they’re very nice… but not very motivated or dependable or accountable..their boss is the same way. SO… I’m bringing in my drill and a change of clothes in case all heck breaks loose. Thank you all for being my daily therapy.

I’m still up 2 lbs from my lowest weight 2 weeks ago, but where I’ve landed now is probably pretty accurate to where I am at. I only slept 3.5 hours last night. It’s going to be a long and tiring day. Double doctor appointments today (for me and son). Lunch will be out. I will try to be very careful not to be stupid and blow my progress! It will be chilly but sunny here today in Northern Michigan. Pants in August? Wow!

I’m still up 2 lbs from my lowest weight 2 weeks ago, but where I’ve landed now is probably pretty accurate to where I am at. I only slept 3.5 hours last night. It’s going to be a long and tiring day. Double doctor appointments today (for me and son). Lunch will be out. I will try to be very careful not to be stupid and blow my progress! It will be chilly but sunny here today in Northern Michigan. Pants in August? Wow!
⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/26— 183.8 ✅ (Trend Weight: 185.0) My son & I had our semi-local doctor appts yesterday for our diabetes check ups. My last appt was 4 months ago in April. I was down 10 pounds yesterday from that last appointment and my glucose dropped from 8 point something to 6.4. My doctor was very impressed with the progress. I always take my son out after appointments for a meal so we headed a bit north to a restaurant we hadn’t been at in about 4 or 5 years. It was just “okay” and I did a pretty good job of ordering and not finishing. However, I tried to make up for the out-of-plan food and had too light of a dinner later Almost anything would have put me over on calories but especially carbs. Bad mistake. I ended up eating too much later last night AFTER my light dinner. Next time I should just “go over” wisely and with healthier foods if I can’t stay inside the perimeters on a restaurant day. I just can’t expect that I can skip a meal or eat the toothpick and not the food and be okay. Especially as a diabetic. Lesson learned. I’ll probably be going out-of-town tomorrow to see my accountant that moved quite far. She’s on Lake Huron so lunch by the Lake would be lovely. I won’t skip dinner later!

Majestic August. Finished July a pound heavier but did step on the scale everyday. Some positive takeaways with the highlight a great group of members trying to be supportive to others as we attain a healthier version of ourselves. Bravo to all.

Hello friends! 🌸🌻 Happy August.
This month I hope to continue with my small goals of consistency and self-care.
August 1: 224.2 Yesterday was logged and I’m ready to go today!
August 2: 223.6 logged and done! Yesterday I moved sales offices and today is the first weekend of our VIP sales event. So ready for this… as ready as you can be in new construction homes! Prelogged for the day and MUST STAY HYDRATED!
August 3: 223.2. Logged and done. Feeling good. Tired after yesterday, but ready for more appointments. Glad I’m taking care of myself first and making myself a priority.
August 4: 224.2… Logging is done and dusted! Our VIP weekend was a success. Need to catch up on paperwork this morning but not before I check in with you all! Reading everyone’s posts first, getting my ducks in a row, then back to work.
August 5: 225.4… logged and done… overate dinner and tried to work it off by cutting the grass… obviously didn’t work. As @deepwoodslady has said before.. you can’t out walk a bad diet.
August 6: 224.2 logged and done… feeling good. Spend a nice evening with my hubby and felt more relaxed. Loving the logging everything in the morning plan then making adjustments for dinner. Plus I’m using the Finch app for wellness… it’s free and helpful for squirrel minds like mine.
August 7: 224.8 logged and done. Time to go weed whip after dragging my feet all day. Time to push through.August 8: 224.4 logged and done. Must clean the pool today. Getting together with a good friend on Saturday after work and hanging out in the backyard swimming and having a margarita.
August 9: 224.8 didn’t log but had a great time. It was so nice to catch up!
August 10: 225 logged late but got it done! Busy day at work
August 11: 225.5 will pre-log for the day… to set me up for structure and success. I am ready for a fun and busy Monday… LET’S GO!
August 12: 223.5 prelogged and ready to go! I love working with a partner at work, but I get more done when I’m alone. 😁 I guess I have the best of both worlds!

August 15: DNW catching up pre-logging and post-logging. Linkin Park was great! It was great to see them sing their old and new songs. We stayed at the Motorcity hotel and casino and took the shuttle from there to Little Caesar’s Arena. I have to remind myself that I’m 55 and not 25. Had a great time with my hubby.

August 22: 224.4… feeling anxious this morning. The contract was cancelled yesterday… need more time and money before moving forward and buying a new home. Totally understandable! 😁 They brought disappointment donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts to help ease the blow. I ate 2 after they left…😬… the scale tells all!
I’m anxious today for the set up of the Grand Opening for tomorrow. The big tent will be set up by professionals…awesome! The 2 small tents will be put up by 2 of our “planning” guys… this is why I’m nervous… they’re very nice… but not very motivated or dependable or accountable..their boss is the same way. SO… I’m bringing in my drill and a change of clothes in case all heck breaks loose. Thank you all for being my daily therapy.

Put those with the 3 lbs of unexplained weight last week and I feel like I’m in a sinking ship. 1223 calories and 79 Total Carbs (not net) yesterday so again, it makes no sense since those are well within my budget of 1400 cals and 88 carbs. All upticks over the 3.6 are travel weight and do make sense. But that explains only 1 point something travel pounds onto my original lowest of 181.8. Humph! My exercise yesterday was excellent too. I swear, nothing seems to be helping! Today I travel over to the Lake Huron area for an accountant appointment so lunch will be at a restaurant. The drive is a couple of hours each way. I will also get some shopping in while there so I can avoid another trip out-of-town for food. So an uptick tomorrow is expected from food and so much sitting today. I,just was not expecting today’s gain! Disappointing but I’ll still just hang in there and trust the process.

I haven’t had Thai in a couple of years as there is no Thai restaurants around me or in most of the cities I visit. I have thick ankles and hands today along with swollen tummy as I don’t drain well with this heart condition. I’ve decided not to weigh today and just use yesterdays disappointing weight instead because I am sure I am temporarily higher. I just need to release this fluid! It has ended up being a bad month for me overall anyway with several unexplained bump ups and a little travel. Moving on, trusting the process and staying loyal to myself and my journey moving forward. My starting weight was 188.8 for August so I can still make a nice dent in my overall goals for the month if I just hang in there, let nature take it’s course and Never Give Up.
