    Yes! They are very much puppies, just like any other puppy, but grow big. She was 25lbs at 10 weeks and consistently put on 2 lbs a week until she was 10 months old, then it changed to about 1 lbs a week until she was about 18 months old, then a lbs a month until about 2 years. She is 125lbs now and it fully grown.
    But when you have a 50+lbs 6month old puppy, they act just like a giant puppy.

    @bteri107 No such thing as failure. It is all just learning something new about how our bodies work. You are sticking with daily logging and that is a habit worth having.

    Heading home from camping today. Yesterday went over IN target, but ended the day either way a 200 calorie deficit.
    I won’t weigh until tomorrow morning, I’m really expecting no or minimal change from Monday.

    Day 43—10/04— 162.4 - Had a really nice breakfast out with a friend....that was basically my meal for the day.

    Day 44—10/05— 162 - Stopped at the grocery store yesterday and picked up some yogurt and poblano peppers for the chili I have yet to make. Had some of the yogurt for breakfast this morning. Got another busy day ahead....cleaning and decorating for fall. Phillies lost, so I need something to cheer me up. Hoping the Eagles can help with that.

    Day 45—10/06— 161.6 - Bad weekend for sports here. The only team that won was Temple...lol!

    I thought all the exercise I had yesterday with working around the apartment would have helped with the weight, but not enough. Still have more to do today. Got all the furniture moved, though. Will probably have yogurt for breakfast and beef stew for lunch. Not sure about dinner....maybe a salad.

    Day 46—10/07— 162 - Got most of my decorating done...just a few more things to put out. Need to set up a donation pickup so I can get those things out of here.

    Had an Atkins shake for breakfast....will probably have leftover beef stew for lunch. Sandwich and small salad for dinner....I bought more canned tuna.

    Phils lost again....I don't see them winning the next 3, but that's what they gotta do.

    Day 47—10/08— 160.8 - Had yogurt for breakfast this morning. Still undecided about the rest of the day. Expecting rain today and seasonal temps later. Can't wait!

    Heard about the issue with diet soda. Now I don't drink a lot of it....only occasionally. I prefer iced or hot tea with Stevia. I had my lab work done recently, and all my liver numbers were normal, so I will be cautious, but not worry.

    Day 48—10/09— 161 - Had a couple of scrambled eggs for breakfast. Thinking about fish for dinner. But it's time to make the chili… it's finally feeling like fall! Hopefully tomorrow.

    The Phillies pulled off a miracle….they won last night! They still have to win tonight, and I will be watching. And it's time to put my house hydrangea into hibernation and repot my Monstera. And I need to get outside my apartment and cut down all the sunflowers that grew around my birdfeeder so I can start feeding the birds again. Right now, they probably have plenty to eat in the wild, but that will change soon.

    Day 49—10/10— 160.8 - Didn't quite hit goal, but closer this time. I haven't eaten yet so I guess lunch will be my first meal. Today is chili making day, too.

    The Phillies were eliminated. 😢 Too many issues although the Dodgers didn't play any better and won on a error....that doesn't take talent. Oh well…we'll see if there are any positive changes over the winter.

    Day 45—10/06—148.4  Had brunch with girlfriends yesterday, including one cocktail. Then, a small dinner. It takes so little for my weight to go up.  Trend weight is lower though. Makes me feel better.

    Yesterday’s workout: 45-min walk with Kaya, 30-min intervals & arms peloton class with weighted vest.

    Day 49—10/10—DNW  Thanks for the encouraging messages. I’ve been a bit off track since my birthday week and continue giving in to cravings. I need a reset. I’m going to hold off on weighing myself for a few days until any gain from the past 2 week’s food choices settles. I don’t want to get more discouraged and fall into the “might as well give in” mindset. Hopefully, when I step on the scale again in a few days, things will have leveled out.
    Yesterday’s workout: Peloton spin class & upper body toning with weighted vest.

    Day 36—09/27— 138.5 lb. See - just a little more effort in the bathroom before hopping on the scale!!!

    Day 37—09/28— 138.6 lb.

    Day 38—09/29— 138.4 lb.

    Day 39—09/30— DNW. I bought a digital kitchen scale at the Sally Army - only $3. The idea is to weigh my food so I can get a more accurate calorie count, rather than just listing eg one bread roll, without an idea of whether it's the same size as the one I'm eating.

    Day 40—10/01— 138 lb. Only 4 lb to go!

    Day 41—10/02— 137 lb. Jeepers!!! how did that happen so fast? now I'm wondering if the scale is completely accurate - maybe it shifted position or something? I think I may have to wait to see how much I weigh next time I'm at the doctor. Her scale will likely be more accurate than mine (she does take off a couple of pounds for clothing).

    Day 42—10/03— 136.8 lb. I've been feeling somewhat under the weather for the last couple of days, and this morning I woke up with a heavy cold. So I haven't been exercising much this week, but my appetite is low as well - hence the loss of weight, I guess.

    So I stayed home and finished knitting a baby blanket - once I gift it, that will be over 2 pounds of yarn gone from my stash.

    Week 6 Start Weight: 139 lb

    Week 6 Goal: Started off by dropping 0.5 lb overnight, so will aim for sustaining that loss. Any further reduction will be a bonus.

    Week 6 Actual Weight: 136.8 lb. Wow! beat goal by 2.2 lbs - albeit not in the best way. I suspect my appetite will return next week, and there may be some overeating……

    Day 43—10/04— 136.7 lb.

    Day 44—10/05— 136.5 lb. feeling unwell today, so mostly stayed in bed, just sipping water. Felt better around dinner time, but not up to cooking much. So I just microwaved a sweet potato and sprinkled on some grated cheese. It was very good and very filling.

    Day 45—10/06— 136 lb. Feeling a little better today, but when I went outside to put the recyling out for collection, the cold wind caught my chest badly, and I was coughing for quite a while after. Ate quite a lot of fruit, which also turned out to be Not.The.Best.Idea.

    Day 46—10/07— 136.1 lb. Thanks to all who offered good wishes for my recovery. Feeling stronger today, and the sun was shining brightly, so went out and did a little shopping. I did have a scheduled lunch date in town, but cancelled as I don't want to spread germs.

    Day 47—10/08— DNW

    Day 48—10/09— 135.2 lb.

    Day 49—10/10— DNW. Went to physio for checkup - he was a little concerned the wrist bone is healing a bit crooked, so wound up spending HOURS (literally) at the hospital waiting for the expert to look at it. Of course it was Friday and everyone was rushed off their feet, so what can you do? People insist on having accidents on Fri/Sat……I originally broke my wrist on Friday!!!

    Thoughts at the start of this round:

    This round will be challenging as it includes the U.S. holidays of Labor Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving. All are big foodie or party and dessert type holidays in the U.S. There are also multiple birthday celebrations in my family. In addition, there will be a lot of travel which is traditional in the fall for me as I try to avoid as many icy driving trips as possible in the winter months. There will be lots of doctor appointments away from home as well as Christmas and gift-giving shopping in this round. I will have to make sure I stay on top of my plan in every moment I can and to make the necessary corrections every time the scale goes up. We can’t control the ingredients in restaurant food so portion control will be key when away from home. I will again aim for a 10 pound loss this round. Thanks for sharing your journey with me and allowing me to share mine. I am grateful for you all.

    Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
