@trooworld You and your husband look really cute in your costumes. I’m glad the headache is better. Hi, all. We are having perfect fall weather: cool in the morning and evening and warm in the afternoon. I went for a walk after breakfast and sat outside this afternoon. We had the chicken for lunch today. DS is making beef ramen for dinner. He made this a few weeks ago and it was good. Our daughter and her family are eating with us indefinitely as they have water damage in their house from a leaky hot water heater.

@trooworld That’s really cool that you’re entering your art work into another exhibit. A lot of people in our neighborhood have put up Halloween decorations. I love the huge skeletons. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. I ate leftover ramen for lunch. I have some Bok Choy that wasn’t used. I’m going to freeze it to use in soup. Tonight we are having meatball subs, baked French fries and salad.

@fabgeekmom Thank you ! I love those huge skeletons, too. If we lived in a house, I would probably have one of them! Good job with the swim. Good idea to freeze the bok choy. How were the meatball subs?

Hi all. Well, MFP has messed up: ALL of my discussion board bookmarks have disappeared! I found this board by searching "WW" and it popped up. I am so upset. I had a lot of boards I may not be able to find again. I hope you find yours. I also cannot see my previous replies on this board, so I don't remember what the motto I had for the year was. :( Anyway, my day was fine yesterday. I had to work. For dinner, I made a good recipe, a NY Times recipe for Oven-Roasted Chicken Shawarma. I also made some roasted red pepper hummus. It was very good. Today is more work.

@trooworld I saw your post about an hour ago and when I wanted to reply, I couldn’t find it. But as in the past when that happened, I went to categories and then motivation until I found it. I’m glad your day went well. The dinner sounded good. The meatball subs were good. I only ate half. The recipe is on ATK. We had leftover meatballs that I put in the freezer. Hi, all. It’s going to be 80 today so I will go for a walk when I finish my coffee. I need to go grocery shopping for tonight and tomorrow. Plus we’re going to the cottage Thursday. My daughter and her family are joining us so I have to make sure I have enough for everyone.

@fabgeekmom I'm glad you found this board . I have lost my way to some boards that I used to go to daily. I hope that whatever they've done, they fix it soon. I feel bad that the people I interact with daily will think I have disappeared. I'm glad the subs were good. I hope you enjoyed the walk in the nice weather.

Hi all. Super frustrated about losing all my bookmarks and not being able to find them again. I did find some of the bookmarks, but yesterday, when I went to post on the boards, the reply box wasn't there, so I couldn't respond to posts. So bad. Anyway, I am doing okay. I did not do well with eating yesterday: I had about 410 calories worth of unplanned chocolates at work. On the bright side, I did drink more water. I had an easy meal for dinner: Trader Joe's cauliflower gnocchi with a marinara sauce and a little chicken Italian sausage.

@trooworld That’s too bad about your groups. I miss the community from WW. That was much easier to use. The good news about the chocolate is that you tracked it. The dinner sounded good. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. It has been drizzling rain all day so I cooked hamburgers inside instead of on the grill. We also had air fried tater tots and salad. For dessert I had a few pieces of dairy chocolate from London. We were going to go to the cottage tomorrow but found out that the coast is getting a bad storm. Hopefully next week the weather will be nicer. This is the second time this has happened.

@fabgeekmom Thank you . I am very upset about it. I miss the WW community as well. That's true, I did track it! Good job with the swim. Yummy dinner, and dessert! Sorry about the storm.

Hi all. I emailed support but haven't heard back from them. I don't expect to hear back from them, though, because it's for premium members and I'm not a premium member. I will try to access things on my phone after I post this. Yesterday went better: I had some chocolate, but only 135 calories worth (and I tracked it). I made a gyro salad for dinner with gyro meat from the grocery store. It was really yummy! Water intake improved yesterday as well.

@trooworld Good job on tracking the chocolate. The dinner sounded good. Hi, all. It’s a little cooler today but sunny. I will go for a walk after breakfast. I’m making a Skinnytaste one pot meal with Italian turkey sausage, spinach, orzo and corn. I’ve made it before and it’s good.

Hi all. We made it to Friday! I didn't work too hard yesterday; I was distracted. I guess everyone has days like that. Today is my work-from-home day. I am going to the gym tonight and then grocery shopping, only to Trader Joe's. Did anyone buy anything from Amazon for Prime Days? I got some new pants and a skirt, as well as some regular stuff we buy. I lost 1.2 lbs this week.

@trooworld I hope your work from home day and everything else you want to do goes well. I didn’t buy anything from Amazon during Prime Days. Hi, all. I woke up at about 4 and didn’t fall back asleep even though I may have drifted off for a bit. Today is going to be a slog but at least I am retired and don’t work. Today is a swim day. Dinner was good last night. My son made a boiled fruit cake that was good. Dinner tonight is salmon.

@fabgeekmom Thank you ! That's too bad you got up so early. I hope you enjoyed the swim. Boiled fruit cake...I've never heard of that!

Hi all. I enjoyed my work-from-home day yesterday: I made a large cut-out of a cartoon pet rock for a pet rock-making workshop I am hosting for the students this next week in celebration of Earth Science Week. It should be fun! I have no idea if they will want to do it, but I guess we'll see. I also went to the gym. Today will be busy: the gym, coffee, then I am participating in a research study about athletic clothing, and then we are going to a pug Halloween party. It should be a fun day!

@trooworld Boiled fruit cake is an English dessert. My son brought home a cookbook from Bath, England. He boiled some raisins, currants and spices, cooled the mixture, drained it and then added it to the other ingredients. I don’t like fruit cake but this one was good and not too sweet. Your project sounds interesting and fun. I hope you enjoy your busy day. Hi, all. I’m going to go for a walk before it starts raining. We’re eating at a ramen restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I’ve never eaten there so it should be interesting.

@fabgeekmom Ah I see . Interesting! Thank you. I hope you enjoyed the walk and didn't get caught in the rain. I love ramen, I hope you enjoyed it.

Hi all. The gym was good. I noticed later in the day that I have developed muscles I can feel in my shoulders/upper chest. At first, I thought something was wrong, but then I realized it was just muscle! LOL We took the pugs to the pug Halloween party, but Violet was such a jerk (at first, she was okay, but I think she got overstimulated; she started lunging and barking at other dogs), so we had to go after about 20 minutes. I got some reading time in: I am reading The People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. It is a historical fiction novel about the fictional events surrounding a real historical text: the Sarajevo Haggadah, one of the oldest surviving Jewish illuminated manuscripts. It's very interesting so far, and I would recommend it. This morning, we are going to the gym, and then to the zoo to walk around. I am bringing my camera, so I will try to get some good pictures to share. I hope to do some crafting at some point.

@trooworld That’s great that you have muscles. Too bad about Violet not behaving. I think I read that book but I checked it out. I’ve read most of the author’s books. Her last book was sad as it was a memoir about her husband’s death. Hi, all. I went for a walk after breakfast while there was a lull from the rain. I also went grocery shopping to get a few things to make from Skinnytaste’s new cookbook (High Protein). We had a meal to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. My son had made a lemon cake plus roasted two chickens, made Stove Top stuffing and collards. My cousin and her husband joined us. It was fun and I only ate one serving of everything. We have cake leftover so we will have some tomorrow night.

    good morning!

been a busy start to the term, got Covid week 3 of it (about a month ago) feeling about 95% better. Just exhausted, brain fog, and lungs still a process. I have asthma so any cold or sickness my lungs aren’t to happy afterwards. But this class has just about 3 weeks left then 3 classes left. Gotta keep telling myself end of June will be here before you know it! Dogs are good overall. The oldest dog the one with diabetes and cancer is still doing alright but the clock is ticking. One of the masses grew so I know it’s coming but she’s still so happy and perky. It’s Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples Day here in US so it’s a holiday for us. I’m probably going to take a break from school work to get some much needed house cleaning done and food prep for the week. I’m still organizing from the big clean out. I think I’ll be needing the rest of the year for that. Still feels like I have to much stuff for a tiny house. Ordering some more shelving to keep bins organized. I found some Neptune blue steel ones so I’ll measure and more than likely order those.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    Missy

Can’t resist one more fun pic

@fabgeekmom Thank you ! This is the first book I read by her. Did you read March? Is it worth reading? I'll have to avoid the one about her husband's death, I don't need too sad. Good job getting the walk in! I've been wanting to get that Skinnytaste book. How does it look? A lot of good recipes? The birthday dinner sounds yummy. Good job with the serving.

@gemwolf110 I'm sorry you are still experiencing COVID stuff . I hope it gets better soon. 3 classes left, I can't believe it! I remember when you were just researching programs! I'm glad you get the day off, I do not. Good luck with what you have to do today.

Hi all. Yesterday was nice: I went to the gym and DIDN'T have to rearrange my workout due to business, went to the gym and walked around, went to the coffeehouse and read, helped my SIL with her Halloween costume, came home and cooked some chicken, some Beef and Bulgur-Stuffed Zucchini, and extra bulgur; and I did some crafting. I made transparent ghost bookmarks! They are so fun. I will include a pic below.

My Halloween read (Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu, it's the first vampire book ever written!) with the ghost bookmark I made yesterday:

@gemwolf110 I’m sorry you had Covid and are still suffering. I’m glad the dogs are okay even though you are worried about the oldest dog. I know you are enjoying your day off. Good luck with the organizing. @trooworld Yes, I read March and enjoyed it. I really like the new protein cookbook. I made the chicken salad on apple slices for lunch. It was really good and filling. The recipe is also online. Tonight I’m making air fried chicken sandwiches from the book. The “secret “ ingredient is frozen riced cauliflower. I’ve made something similar from the website and we really couldn’t taste the cauliflower. I’m also making butternut squash fries. We have cake from last night so we will eat that, too. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. Last night was fun and I’m looking forward to another good meal tonight. Everything is healthy except for the cake…….

    @gemwolf110 Thank you !

Hi all. My back was really hurting at work yesterday to the point I decided to go home early. I came home and lay in the recliner with a heating pad, which felt good. My back is better today. I hope it doesn't start hurting again. I made some chicken meatballs for dinner and had it with some pasta and sauce. They were very good. I need to focus on my water more. Yesterday's water consumption was not stellar, but I was hurting so I'll forgive myself.

@trooworld I’m glad that your back is better. The chicken meatballs sound good. Hi, all. I went for a walk this morning. It was cool and windy but still nice. We had leftover chicken sandwiches for lunch. I’ve noticed that I am not as hungry when I eat meals with more protein. The author of the protein cookbook recommends 30 grams of protein per meal. I tried an oatmeal recipe from the cookbook and couldn’t eat all of it as I was full. Tonight my son is making breakfast for dinner (brinner?). He’s making Sally Lunn bread from the cookbook he got from Bath, England. He’s also making cheesy scrambled eggs and bacon. Plus we have some jam he got from England.

@fabgeekmom Thank you . I'm glad you enjoyed your walk. I notice the same thing: protein is very satiating. I get about 80-120 grams of protein a day. I hope you enjoyed brinner!

Hi all. My back is hurting a bit today, so I will take my heating pad to work with me. I got these workout leggings from Constantly Varied Gear. They are very cute patterns, but they are super tiny. I've already returned them once for a bigger size, and now, I have to return them again. I wanted a refund, but they charge a restock fee, so I am going to keep trying to get the right size so I can avoid losing money. I would not recommend this brand of leggings due to the sizing issue. It was cold and rainy here yesterday. I had leftover chili from the freezer for dinner. It hit the spot.

@trooworld Chili on a cold and rainy night is perfect. Too bad about your back and the tights. I hope you feel better and get the right size. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. Today feels like a typical fall day: sunny and a little cool. We’re going to the cottage tomorrow so I went grocery shopping to prepare. Tonight I’m cooking a recipe from the new cookbook. It’s a pasta dish with red and yellow peppers, ground beef, protein pasta, beef bone broth and Montreal steak seasoning.

@fabgeekmom Thank you . Good job with the swim. The weather sounds really nice there. I hope you have a nice time at the cabin.

Hi all. My back has been bothering me again; I am sure it's from the weather getting colder. On Sunday, I did a mini-meal prep where I cooked extra-coarse bulgur, plain pasta, and some chicken breast. I am really glad I did that (even though I didn't want to do it at the time), as I was able to throw together a quick pasta meal last night when I didn't have much energy. It came out well. Today, we are having my pet rock-making workshop for the students. I have no idea if it will be something they are interested in, but I hope so. It should be a fun day.

@trooworld The weather really does affect how we feel. My arthritis acts up when the weather changes or it’s cool and cloudy. That was good that you meal prepped so you didn’t have to cook when you were hurting. Hi, all. I’m at the cottage now. I walked around the track. The weather was cool but sunny. Dinner is steak, polenta and green beans.

@fabgeekmom I believe it . Yes, I really thanked my past self for cooking that stuff! Enjoy the cottage and your walks. Good job! Dinner sounds yummy.

Hi all. The pet rock workshop for our students was yesterday. At first, nobody was showing up, but they all came at once right on time. Lots of students, it was very popular. I'm glad it went so well and nobody made a big mess lol. I am debating if I want to go to the gym since my back is still hurting. I don't want to make it worse, but I also don't want to skip a gym day. If I don't go to the gym, I may go to the coffee shop and either read or do artwork. Today is my work-from-home day and I'm glad for that.

@trooworld I’m glad the pet rock workshop went well. I hope your back is better. I’m reading The People of the Book and am enjoying it. I had not read it. I noticed it was published in 2008 when I lived in a rural area with a not so good library. I didn’t have access to Libby until 2019. Hi, all. I had another nice day today. I walked the track after breakfast. I tried something different for breakfast today: cottage cheese scrambled eggs. I got the recipe from Skinnytaste. My daughter, her husband and their daughter are joining us tonight. I’m preparing a recipe from the new cookbook: a burger bowl with lettuce, tomato, red onions and a special sauce and roasted sweet potatoes.

hello all. I’m currently in Spain. I’ll be home on the 26th I’m definitely getting in a lot of steps. We first went to Portugal and it nearly killed me with the hills. I must get in better shape. I’ve been tracking and staying in my boundaries so all is good there. Hope everyone is well.

@theslightedgeforever Wow , how cool! Have fun. Those hills would kill me, too!

Hi all. My back is still killing me. I decided to take the weekend off the gym because I don't want to make it worse. I've been using heat on my back. I may try ice today. I slept horribly: I had coffee as planned, and it apparently affected my sleep. It usually doesn't. I slept about 4 1/2 hours. I am going to a chalk festival today. Later tonight, I'm going to my book club meeting. I made some Halloween-themed bookmarks to give out to the attendees.

Hello all. We didn't end up going to the chalk art festival; we didn't feel like dealing with the crowds. Instead, we went to the coffee shop and read. We also went to a mini-book fair. I bought just one book. My book club was fun: everyone loved the bookmarks, and they took almost all of them. My husband and I got takeout for dinner: poke bowls. Mine had lettuce instead of rice. Today, more hanging out at the coffee shop, and later, I will do a tiny bit of food prep.

@theslightedgeforever Wow, Spain and Portugal! What a trip! The hills would bother me, too. @trooworld Sorry about your back. Good call to skip the gym. Coffee shops and reading sounds relaxing. I’m glad everyone liked the bookmarks. Good call to get lettuce instead of rice. Hi, all. I forgot to post yesterday. I had a good time with my family. We ate at a seafood restaurant. I ordered steamed shrimp, oysters and clams. We went to one of those beach stores and I bought a zip up hoodie for $12.00. Afterwards we went to a huge candy store. I bought some candy that I ate when I was growing up. We had burger bowls for dinner. I ate some candy and tracked it.
