as is typical for me lately, day is not as planned. Time at assisted living was way longer than I budgeted. But starting to go through 312 at 4 pm…. @Chapter_3 beautiful trees. I saw a rumor that it was your birthday. Happy belated! Also, I have read things about reframing, such as "I am athletic" instead of "I want to be athletic". My problem is that I quickly forget. I think I need to learn to embrace the reframing longer. @musicsax thanks again for reminding us of your take away from your time with your brother and his sharing about his DP. So unfortunate that DP could not turn his health around. I too need be kinder to my body. @Skyleen75 your post from the 18th resonated with me. You commented on how can 175 feel so awful compared to just 172-174. I feel that way with my 4 to 5 lb gain post wedding. And once I feel "huge", I can tend to behave poorly (which is a nonsensical reaction). @jrago47 are you canadian? Oct 19 thanksgiving? hope it was grand @SheilaBoneham OMG the cat hat is GREAT! @deepwoodslady your fluid issues are a real challenge. So sorry how it impacts you! @motheroftwins95 wow! nice cumulative losses for those rounds! @itladyee Lola is such a doll! @majork29 shopping in ones own closet is a perk of weight loss. great prices too!! Page one of 312……. gotta cook dinner…. I shall return 2

@anxietyfairy You don't have to start right on the 1st day of the challenge. Hop in anytime. Welcome to the challenge. It's great to have you join us. BTW, 10 days is long enough to see a pattern or results from a choice we've made, but short enough to start over anytime needed (life events, holidays, social events get in the way). It's really pretty perfect! Thanks for joining us. 3

continuing with round 312 @majork29 glad you are with us, and you have put together a healthy set of goals!! @_JeffreyD_ lovely family, congrats! great photo! @CamandJarvis enjoy your time home with family, and good luck with the mindfulness! @ReignFromAshes It is interesting how intimidating it can be to return to something one was previously familiar with. I worked with a trainer last spring (in Florida) to get me reconnected to ST and gain my confidence back. Was doing well. Tried to continue, but the summer up north killed it. Now I have to get my mojo again. @UTMom81 you've been missed. glad to see you back. What a cute walking buddy! He would get me moving. We harness walk our cats, but it really ends up being more of a wander. :P @mochasmommie7193 Nice you returned!! @BrenM1985 Unfortunately, sometimes I think losing weight can be harder when you are smaller. But yes, trust the process. (Ok, I am now reading you are down 5, two days later, congrats!!) @pezhed I hope your son's teeth ended up ok (maybe I will learn as I keep reading) @musicsax amazing you lost weight while traveling. Very nice! @Jane022896 It's great that you are focusing on whatever is possible at the moment. You are avoiding the "if I can't to it all, I'll do nothing trap". :) @_JeffreyD_ Sorry about your sister in law and her husband. Wishing them both speedy recoveries. It you eat healthy in the absence of your spouse, you are better than me. <3 @Skyleen75 i can very much relate to you childhood story, same but different. Likewise, monitoring my drive for food and how I can been in total control for long stretches, and then flip back to continually thinking about what I can eat. It's just wild. @Chapter_3 thanks for the birthday wishes. Sorry I did not see it until now! @fermatamb7212 look like a wonderful trip, thanks for sharing. Great photos, and Poppy is a cutie. @itladyee Are you a fellow Scorpio?? You are a teeny bit closer to 65 than me. I think that number can bring on the sole searching. @motheroftwins95 Sorry to have missed your birthday! Happy b-day, at least the 3 day celebrating is behind you. @UTMom81 I LOVE the trunk or treat. So creative and fun! @itladyee @deepwoodslady Hopefully all is well with @quiltingjaine do update us if you hear anything! <3 On to round 313……… 2

Round 313 28 Oct – 6 Nov 2025 Please join us starting on 28 October for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS SW Round 313 10/28 Can't remember 10/29 Didn't weigh myself. Today I did 10,000 steps and went grocery shopping with my mum. She has hurt her wrist so she can't do any heavy lifting. I was able to pick some stuff out for myself so I was happy. Got some strawberry jam which I never have and some sugar-free jellies. Did some walking around the house to get my steps in. Walked the dog, but it was cold (it's supposed to be Spring, so we've had some hot days as well, but there was snow on the mountains today). I am having a bbq tonight with my sister. Her boyfriend is obsessed with meat, so there could be 8 different types. I requested chicken. I brought some apple juice to contribute. My mum made this apple dough thing that sounds delicious, but I can't remember what you call it. I peeled apples for her. I was doing 25,000 steps per day but I'm trying to cut back to 10,000 per day. Partly because walking that much is a waste of time, and partly because I need to lose weight by eating less. I'm finding that I HAVE to walk that much to maintain a deficit because I can't stay out of the kitchen. I need advice on eating lower calorie, and eating less calories. I think I need to get out of the house for most of the day. I am considering digging out some of my weight watchers cookbooks and trying some of the recipes. I have been resistent because I will need to buy new ingredients, which is ridiculous. I introduced a new weight watchers snack last year and lost like 5kg, so I think certain parts of weightwatchers can be a game changer for sure. I got a laptop for my birthday after sharing with my dad for over a year and everyone expects me to write a book, but I am having trouble motivating myself to write anything... this seems to be helping. I have written one weightloss related letter to myself, but it was very short. 10/30

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 313 (my 243rd). Goals for every round; - First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
- Would like to lose a pound round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone. Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life. Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck. I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth". 10/27 140.6 – (trend 141.4) More or less knew yesterday’s number would not stick, but still happy, last weight in previous round was 144, so that’s a loss of 3.4 pounds. I know that previous weight was inflated due to a bad few days, but still happy. No structured exercise; met up with DS & family at Sudbury Children’s House, enjoyed the time with DGDs. EW Rnd 312 140.6 SW Rnd 313 140.6 10/28 140.6 – (trend 141.3) 8.77 miles walked. 10/29 140 – (trend 141.2) met up with group of DSs & FF, went for a carvery: we were all very restrained in portion control. 6.44 miles walked before meeting up. 10/30 10/31 11/1 11/2 11/3 11/4 11/5 11/6 👍👍This is NOT A DIET. @AR10at50 Congratulations on all the weight you have lost, that's awesome! @pezhed have you ever walked on the Appalachian trail? that was a bucket list item for me, for sure. @itladyee great quote about doing better than people who aren't trying! @majork29 Hi Kira!!! waves say hi to your pets for me :) @SheilaBoneHam Cool! what are you currently knitting? @Jane022896 all this talk about scales, and you reminded me to update the batteries in mine! unfortunately, when I was looking for a screwdriver, I found the equivalent of a small box of m&ms. My mouth was pleased though. @motheroftwins95 I've been noticing so many people with twins lately! my sister went through IVF and was the mother of two sets, my cousin has them, a whole bunch of friends and classmates… I went to school with someone that was pregnant with five babies at once, not sure if she had assistance. @SModa61 what a lovely cat! 3

At least they are actually food compared to the wax and sugar of those stupid little foil wrapped monsters DH brought into our home. Thankfully he has an outage this weekend so he can bring all of the extras into work on Saturday. Yesterday was our last official evening of boxing for the year. I wish I had found this sport early in life. It requires so many levels of excellence and engagement. Of course my nose would be a bit crooked by now. Maybe it’s best that I waited until there is zero chance I’ll ever get into a ring with heavy hitting. Working out with my Ride or Dies this morning. Reminds me I have to try on my Susanne Somers costume for Friday mornings exercise themed workout Halloween party.

@SModa61 you wrote; "Sorry about your sister in law and her husband. Wishing them both speedy recoveries. It you eat healthy in the absence of your spouse, you are better than me. <3" A quick report: 1) SIL surgery was yesterday and the Dr. said it was successful in every way possible. Waiting on lab reports now. Praying for clean margins. 2) BIL still in the thick of it, but he was able to talk on the phone with me. 3) I am not better than you as of yesterday. 4

@anxietyfairy "UPF" means Ultra Processed Food. Look at the "ingredients" label on your food. If it is 3x4 inches, and looks like a monkey typed it, it is UPF and is no good for you. 2

@jrago47 Congratulations!!! 50 lbs is an awesome accomplishment! @Skyleen75 Those costumes, though!!! Fantastic! @deepwoodslady You SHOULD congratulate yourself for putting the 190s firmly behind you! When I was here last you were struggling with that decade for a while, but when I came back…POOF! You are firmly in the 180s. That's terrific! @anxietyfairy It doesn't matter if you are late. Folks can come here anytime. I think you'll learn to love the 10 day part of this challenge. It works as a great motivator and also doesn't let you get as defeated feeling when you have a rough patch. Welcome to the group! 3

11/6:Hi everyone, I’m back from a 2 month hiatus and I’ve missed you all! I needed a mental moratorium after my brother passed away. It’s been a busy time- work, travel and helping my 83YO SIL with their house and my DB’s memorial. In the midst of all of that I realized I wasn’t following my own good advice; I was just feeling frustrated and angry at myself, so a break seemed like a good idea. I’ve kept weighing (almost) every day, and eating right during the week, but weekends have been a challenge. Since summer 2024 I’ve crept up a full 10 lbs and need to get a handle on this before it balloons even further- especially as we head into the holidays. So, here I am and very glad to see so many familiar names! Now, to work! 5

@anxietyfairy welcome to the group. I just recently rejoined these 10 day challenges. I love them because 10 days is not a big commitement and in 10 days you can really know if something is working or not and adjust. I remember years ago listening to a podcast, can't for the life of me remember which one but the speaker said that you can't exercise your way out of a bad diet. It has stuck with me ever since. In the past I have always concentrated more on the exercise part of getting fit instead of my diet. It's a work in progress. 😉 @Skyleen75 boxing sounds like fun!! dates are better then candy but I so get eating too many!! 2

I have tried all diets and programs out there over the years, but nothing has worked for long. Now I am working on loving life and trying to be healthier. You don’t have to be perfect; you just must be better than you were before. Goals for this round are: - Check in every day.
- Weigh in every day.
- Get my step count to 10k daily.
👍👍This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE 10/28 – 194.4/ 4,036/19– no change today. I was thinking I would have a gain so I’m happy. Finally feeling better. Not many steps yesterday. My goal for this round is to get my step count up. I have become very sedentary again. Need more movement. Not much sleep last night watching the Blue Jays game till the bitter end. I’m feeling sorry for the fans on the east coast. 10/29 - 194.6/4,877/6 - a slight bump up but expected. Had a busy day yesterday. Happy that both the Blue Jays and Oiler's won last night. 3
