    Morning All,

It's a grey day in Hertfordshire. Feeling thinner today but trying to resist weighing myself because I only weighed in Monday but I have high hopes for next Monday providing I can stay in control over the weekend.

Have a great Thursday everyone and stay strong
That's why I weight myself on a Saturday morning

I know that I will be down the pub at the weekend and then there is the unscheduled meals because the hubster suddenly wants to go out or get a take-away.

Then I know I've got the rest of the week to work off any slip-ups that might have occurred during the weekend.

If I had to weight myself every Monday morning I'd probably have quit by now

I just hope the weekend weather is better than this grey, drizzle that we have today :frown:

hehe I used to weigh on a Monday, back when I used to behave on my weekends haha!! Now I tend to weigh on either a Friday or Saturday :)

Hubby's friends are over from Sweden so coming over for dinner and board games tonight. On the menu is maple mustard prawns on rocket for starter, tandoori chicken with coconut coriander rice and steamed baby corn, asparagus and carrot batons for main and mixed berry cheesecake brownie with icecream for dessert. Came to about 850 cals total so I'm pretty happy with that (it's just under what I burned today!!). Pretty much everything is done or at least pre-prepared now, just waiting for them to arrive :)

that's a great NSV! mine last night was running to the gym (and halfway back) - not so long ago a couple of steps running and my knees would give up. glad it was just the extra weight they were carrying not something more serious. woo! :)

so you run to the gym, work out then run half the way home? WOW. I can't wait to get to a weight where I can confidently run again. I've been attempting the c25k program every so often in tandem with 30DS at the moment but those minutes of running feel like the longest minutes of my life!

It's only a 10minute walk though prob half a mile so not that amazing lol!

    Happy Friday Team UK!

    How is everybody?

The dinner last night went well, had one glass of wine so still well below my cals :) Going out for dinner and probably a few cheeky wines tonight with the girls but going to Japanese so the calories shouldn't be too disastrous. I don't think I will go to the gym today - waiting for my music to copy over to my new laptop then will do some strength work but I think I might have to go for my walk first since it's taking forever and I'm picking up food for lunch on my walk.

    Woohoo....!!!!!!

    I lost 1.2 pounds this week.....AND....... I'm now in ONE-derland......!!!!

I wanted to go to a Thai restaurant last night, but my partner was too tired and didn't want to...
So, I ended up with a fish finger sandwich & coffee....

Maybe I should thank him for helping me stick to my weight loss....?

Nah... I don't think so.... lol....!

    Morning Everyone.

Went to Aqua Aerobics yesterday and my bum and hip joints ache this morning but planning on going weekly. That Instructor is a Slave driver LOL. Working the next two days so I need to organise my food. I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and have lost another pound but won't be recording until my offical weigh in day Monday. My settings are for a pound a week so it seems to working.

Have a great weekend Everyone xx :drinker:

Morning all!!! ::bigsmile: :

I am crowing this one from the rooftops!!!   I MADE IT INTO ONEDERLAND!!!! :drinker:  :drinker: I lost 1lbs this week, putting my total weightloss since I started trying to lose weight at 3st!

I know there'll be ups and downs - but I know I CAN do this. This is the FIRST time in my memory that I've been this weight... on one hand it's scary because I've always given up well before now, but on the other hand it's exciting, because I'm still consciously trying to lose weight - I haven't given up yet. AND I DON'T INTEND TO!! :drinker:

So a message to you all, THANK YOU for being there, for being supportive and sharing your highs & lows, because for me they help, help me through my highs and lows and keep me on track. :drinker:

You amazing woman, you! That's fabulous.... and an inspiration to me not to give up, either.

Go Kendra!:flowerforyou: :drinker:  :drinker: :flowerforyou:

I was so annoyed with myself as after a great first ten days I went back into comfort eat mode and put back on the weight I lost.

But I have woken up today and put it behind me and decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and refocus! Went for a 5k run today and eating well so far! The rest of the month is going to be awesome because I say so! :)
  • 9lbs to go until my goal! I say goal, but really it's not my ultimate goal at all, but I didn't know how much I wanted to really lose when I joined MFP. Either way, 9lbs to go and then I'll re-evaluate everything and make a new goal.

Yay - a UK thread!! Hope you don't mind if I join :)

Have just joined this site and need to lose about a stone. 3-4 years ago, I lost a massive six stone over a 15 month period, going from 15 1/2 to 9 1/2 stone and on the whole, have kept it off which I am thrilled about. However, having had rather a tough year on the personal front, my weight has crept up a little. Now I am back in a happier place, so want to tackle it now, before it gets out of hand!

Going well so far - knowing myself, I just need to keep it up for a week or so until it becomes habit again. Those little things that worked for me before are coming back to me and am mentally in the zone :)

Not done any exercise for the last week - have just taken up riding again after many years out of the saddle which I am absolutely loving, but managed to fall off while cantering last Sunday - d'oh!!! Landed on my lower back and bruised my sacroiliac joints so have been quite sore and walking in a passable imitation of a duck for most of the week. However am riding later this afternoon so hopefully won't have a repeat performance :)

Looking for friends in here, so please add away!!!

    Monday again Team UK!

    How were your weekends?

Mine was fab but a bit naughty due to meals out and a theatre trip with snacks! Need to refocus today though - 6 weeks until Paris and Berlin and I really want to get down to at least what I was at my wedding earlier this year. I've been to both before and really looking forward to it. I didn't like Paris last time but it was the first place in Europe I ever went - I think things will be different now I've had time to adjust. I loved Berlin, going to check out the Christmas markets this time - the Berlin part was a wedding gift from hubby's work (on a side note: NEVER buy someone flight vouchers, lovely thought but what a nightmare!).

    Take care

    Morning all,
Cold in Hertfordshire this morning. Had my weigh in today and lost a pound and an inch around the waist. Got a 32 inch waist bit of a way to go to get back to the 24 inch waist I had in my younger days
Have a good day everyone :flowerforyou:

    Hello all!
Can I join in too? I was an occasional poster on the thread earlier in the year.
It was a lovely weekend here in Edinburgh, I got out on my bike on Saturday and went for a run with my o/h on Sunday. It is rather more autumnal today...

i am back on the bandwagon and moving forward after a weekend of self sabotage/comfort eating.
I am trying to detox from sugar and made myself log everything instead of just writing the weekend off.
glad I'm not the only one!

Its soooo nice to see this group still going!!! Well done UK'ers!! xxx
  • Hello everyone,
I'm pretty new to MFP and got reccommended the group :) Awesome!!
I'm a pretty fun girl who loves to exercise (My new craze is Military bootcamp style at the moment with ex army people who trains us) and also love to eat whether that's cooking at home, socialising with friends, going out for something to eat! The stuff is great lol

But.. A couple of stones later, I have developed chubb around the belly, butt and thighs and hopes this will help me be a bit more in control!

Look forward to making new friends :)

Oooh I got some friend requests :flowerforyou: thank you
I'm afraid I'm not very good at logging everything - I'm mostly using this as a maintanance tool at the moment so it is a metter of staying roughly on track...

Well that's me finished my course of antibiotics. Yay!!! Feeling so much better and lost a pound at weigh in this morning. I'm super motivated to losing 8lbs before Christmas now as that will be me at the 30lb mark. Going to take it easyish on the exercise this week as i don't want to overdo it and am still a little bit chesty but will try and get some sit ups in and maybe some zumba for the wii or wii sports. At least that way i can stay in the warm haha. It really is miserable out there today. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for the get well wishes over the last wee while :flowerforyou:

Glad you had a good weekend! I'm thinking the upcoming weekend will be a bit on the naughty side for me, so I'll be working extra hard this week so I don't feel extra guilty... but it is my birthday on sunday, and well, we all deserve a treat on our birthdays right?

I went to Paris for the first time this june, and liked it more than I thought I would! Never been to Berlin but it somewhere I'm interested in seeing.

    Have a great week!

Morning all - fantastic to see so many new faces on the Team UK posts! I was around up until May but then fell off the bandwagon (:ohwell:) so now I'm sheepishly coming back and trying to get back into it.

The past few month's damage hasn't been too bad......I had originally lost 12lbs, and still have kept 5lbs off, and I'm hopeful a couple more should drop quite quickly since I've stopped drinking during the week etc!

Just moved out of home and into London which is SO EXCITING!! Good thing is I have complete control over my food, whereas the bad thing is I find it so difficult to cook for just 1 person!! I've also just joined Fitness First until December so will be getting my bum back to the gym as well.

Looking forward to chatting to you all loads  and hope you're having a great week! xxxx

Does anyone do water aerobics? I'm going tomorrow, but the last time I went (admittedly I was about 12) I remember it being really, really easy, but like I say, I was 12.
