    just tried athenos red pepper hummus...and im in luuuv. :love: it was SO good. where has this been my whole life? i also grabbed the greek style: lemon garlic, havent tried it yet. had it on a whole wheat tortilla with a sprinkle of 2% shredded cheese warmed in the microwave. mmmmmm. if i wasnt about to start dinner, id have another.

    Ok, so I've NEVER had Hummus before! What's it taste like? I'm afraid to go buy a whole container and then not like it!!

    kinda of like refried beans...but yummier.

    Hehe, I bought my first magic bullet because I wanted to make hummus. I use my own recipe these days:

    1 can of chickpeas drained and rinsed (gets rid of excess sodium that way)
    1/4 cup soy yogurt
    2tbs lemon juice
    2tsp diced garlic (i get mine in a jar, else use 2-4 cloves)
    1tsp cumin

    I just made some yesterday. I added Mancini Roasted Red Jalapenos to it.....WOW....it was great!!!!!

    The Mancini roasted Jalapenos are something I just ran across at Ocean State Job Lot and they are great added to the hummus! YUM YUM....Might be time for a little snack with carrots!

    First hummus I bought was cayenne and nothing has compared since and THEY DON'T HAVE IT ANYMORE...why does this always happen to me? My perfume, my lipstick...now, my hummus...it's a conspiracy, I swear it is.
