    Today, I burnt 585 calories doing 50 utes on the elliptical, random setting, level 17. The cool thing is that level 17 is getting too easy now!!! I remember when level 5 was tough on that thing! LOL Plus, I did some strength training. Not sure how much I burned on that though.

    Another cool thing is that a woman hopped on the inner thigh machine right after me, looked at me impressed and said "you can do 110??...not me!!"...........Yes, trying to get rid of the inner thigh jigglys!

    Today i have burned 620 with 30 min dvd aerobic workout and 25 min of rope skipping

    Today I burnt 755 calories doing:

    25 Min Running (outside)
    20 Min Elliptical
    15 Min Bike
    20 Min Calisthenics (push ups, pull ups, sit ups)

    Today I burned 1,015... yes, i said 1,015 clories!!!! mostly by doing:

    24 minutes of fast, boxer jump rope
    50 minutes of shoveling snow, ice & slush!

    today i earned my hot tub! and some extra yummies!

    Today I burned 1,015... yes, i said 1,015 clories!!!! mostly by doing:

    24 minutes of fast, boxer jump rope
    50 minutes of shoveling snow, ice & slush!

    today i earned my hot tub! and some extra yummies!

    Icky, snow and ice and slush!!!! :tongue:

    It's about 60-something here today...ahhh, I love sunshine:glasses: But great job on those cals!

    The only exercise I can really get is to walk out doors with a cane:frown: We had another night of freezing rain, so just wait I will be out there soon:happy: Nice going to all of you!:flowerforyou:

    Good morning,

    I burnt 535 calories doing 55 minutes on the elliptical (45 min forward and 10 min backwards to work my butt).

    I feel so good!

    today I burnt 168 calories doing 10 minute mile and I burned some doing strength training and abs but I dont know what I burned.

    Today I burnt 645 calories on the elliptical (55 minutes including 25 minutes forward, 25 minutes backward and 5 minute cool down, random setting, level 17)

    Can anyone help me understand what the difference is in strength training and circuit training? I've just noticed that there is a HUGE variance in the calories listed for the them.

    Strength training is more anaerobic and causes more hypertrophy or strength development, depending on the rep/set range. Circuit training is more aerobic and results in less of the above. Both use weights.

    I have had to take a lot of time off because I had a powerlifting competition last night...which I won! :bigsmile: I benched 130, beat the record for my weight class by 30 lbs and matched the overall female record (which is held by someone in the 150-200 weight class). I could've done 135 but ran out of attempts, oops :)

    i have only burnt 170 calories walking on the treadmill better than nothing, ophhh then i went and sweated in the sweat box does that count for something?????im not sure ???LOL:ohwell:

    Today i burnt 967 calories swimming for 55 min and doing an aquaerobic class of 60 min
    for a total of 2 hours in the water .. eeekkk...

    Well, I got myself on the elliptical this morning at 5:25 am and burnt 501 cal (50 mins).
    I'm glad I did it early, good way to start the day.
