My goal is to do 45 minute cardio workouts this week. Normally I do 30 minutes. I am hoping that bumping it up a bit will help boost my weight loss.

I do eat my exercise calories back most of the time. Sometimes I only eat half of them, but I normally need to use some of them. That's part of what gets me to workout lol. I know that I can eat more. I usually NET around 1200-1500 calories per day. I burn about 200-300 calories per workout.

So proud of myself, my daughter got a ton of candy and I don't want any of it! Down side is I was so busy today, I have 1100 calories left to consume and it's almost 9pm.. I'm going to try and get as close to that as I can without junk food. I started a new job today and I have to find a new routine. I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

I'm in! I am plateauing at 132-135 and would love to be back at my lowest of 125. when I was really strict with my calorie counting I was almost always below my net of 1200, even when I ate back a majority of my exercise calories. I'm still eating most of the same foods/meals, but am trying to be a little more lenient with my tracking and feel as if my weight me be going up. I'm not sure if upping my calories is the best route after all..?

Morning or good night or good day depending on where people are!

I am really really starting afresh today and I really really mean it. I am SICK of being this weight now, even put up half a lb over the weekend as I have a chesty cough and was wrecked so didn't exercise.

I am heading over to my twin sis in Germany with a friend at the end of Nov and I'd love to be 160 going over so I'm on a real push to do it. Clean clean eating all the way. No more crap. I was heading down the path of picking and snacking again on bad stuff so no more.

Heading to the gym tonight. Going to try some running on the treadmill but am nervous as I pulled ligaments in my lower calf/ankle in Feb running. Take it easy though.

Logged my food for the day already so I know where I stand. Healthy snack suggestions welcome, esp when I get home with the kids, I tend to pick on bad things before I head to the gym.

Thinking of getting my gym programme changed up also.

Hope everyone else is doing well :-)

Good for you girl for making a stand. Sometimes just getting fed up is the push you need. I will say be careful on the treadmill if you pulled/injured your calf area. The impact on the calf and ankle area when running is pretty rough. Maybe switch it up and try the stationary cycle. That should take the impact off your injury while it heals and work various muscles as well.

I am also at my ten pound mark. It has been tough, because I naturally plateau at my current weight. I also am coming back from an injury, so I can't run. Any ideas would be great! My injury was to my right lung, but I have the energy and ability to do cardio. I am just slow going - trying to stay at my fat burn bpm on the stairclimber, bike, and other machines.

  • I start day one of Slim in Six tonight. The first video wasn't hard enough! I will move on to the next level tomorrow. I love that! Also had a great first day diet wise. Hope you are all doing well, too. We can get these last few off!

I started a new job and the last thing I want is to exercise tonight. How do you get in that groove? I exercise because it helps weight loss and tones, not because I necessarily enjoy myself.. I feel like I worked all day, now I have to work even more. :frown:

I too am stuck with the last 15 and want to join in if I am welcome that is. I have currently lost 105 pounds and weigh 155 pounds. I have been around this weight plus or minus since about April or so. My goal is 140, which is on the high end of normal for my 5'4" frame. I currently workout 6 days a week, 3 40-60 minute interval sessions and 3 cardio days in which I run between 3 and 5 miles on the treadmill. I had been eating around 1500 calories and have decided to increase to between 1700 and 2000 each day to see if that makes the scale move. I also am watching my carbs and have my ratios set to 40, 30, 30 and keeping my sugar in check too. Any advise is welcome. Good Luck to everyone!! I'll be checking in periodically.

I do it first thing in the morning! I would never have the energy to do it after working all day! I get up at 5am and just do it!! I have been doing it like this for so long, its just part of my routine!! Maybe try working out in the morning instead of at night??

I just cannot give up that much SLEEP to work-out. I need my 7.5 hours of sleep or I'm DOOMED.

    :(

I used to work-out 6-7 days a week. Now, I'm at 3 on an average week - 4 is a REALLY GOOD WEEK.

So, it means I have to be super-duper strict with my nutrition.

Hope your first day went well!

I have a hard time working out period, so when it's after I have worked all day it's extra hard. I do it mainly for emotional healthy, so I have to do it. If I don't keep up with it then everything seems to fall apart, lol. I don't like it one bit, but I just have to tel myself to do it., just do it. And I have to really focus on how I'm going to feel about it in the end. It feels so great to have it done, and that really motivates me.

Now hopefully, I will get on my workout after dinner, after my feet have rested some. :)

I use to have to have 9 hours, or I was useless. I have found that getting my workout in, helps me sleep better, and thus I need less sleep, and when I am low on sleep, I handle it better than I use to. Working out is like magic to me, lol.

i know mfp isnt always accurate with the calories burned and other stuff but i find it so frustrating that for the past 9 weeks its telling me daily that i will be 128-130 in five weeks...

I'm not a morning person so working out in the AM is just not a possibility. I wake up early enough for work, I'd be toast! I am a night owl and mostly don't mind working out in the evening, it's just getting to that point of wanting to. I wish I enjoyed it more..instead it's a chore!

    Question for the week...

***Do you eat back your exercise calories? Yes I was but result was not in my favor so have switched to eating back about half instead
***Also, how much do you eat total and how many calories do you burn on average per day? Current goal is to eat about 1450 calories a day. Average calorie burn 1200+workout 500= 1700

CHALLENGE this WEEK:.......................my challenge will be to do abs and plank after workout.

on a side note as of friday i'll be on hold, going on vacation and will not be tracking anything for a week.
  • In the process of reading all the posts. May take awhile. I am also on my last 9 lbs. I got down to 114.4 and my weigh in last saturday was 116.4. FRUSTRATING.

What have you tried to do to break through? Don't give up!

I'm still getting used to my new schedule, so I didn't do an exercise routine tonight. I just cleaned the house and ran around Walmart for as long as I could to get something in haha. I hope my body adjusts, I'm so tired all day!

Wow! That is an amazing loss! Your program sounds great. I am sure you will pick up some great ideas here.

Today I lifted weights first thing this morning and went for a walk/run later. Just could not waste such a beautiful day! My run is up to over 2 - 1 mile segments with a walk to start , end and in between. I might need to get a treadmill to keep this up, this good weather is going to end soon! How are all of you feeling about treadmill running vs. outdoors?

Having a hard week here and not doing as well as I'd like :frown:

It's been bad news all around, coupled with going out with friends for the first time in several months on Monday, and though I've more or less stayed near my calories I've had an ice cream cone, subway sandwich, thick fries at a burger joint and full McDonalds meal all within 3 days, these are treats I try to keep to once a week/every other week or less! As you can imagine, to stay near my calories that's nearly ALL I've eaten. The only exercise I've gotten since Saturday is walking to and from the train in the morning and evening. I haven't been willing to step on the scale since the weekend either...

I need to get back with it and pick myself up here before the bad eating within calories goes to bad eating and doubling my calories.

I am on my last ~10lbs or so, and I have stopped running.

    I haven't run since I did a 5k on Oct 23rd.

I have been so exhausted and busy, that sleep has been more important. I am hoping this little hiccup won't affect me too much.

You said you net pretty low in calories, since I've upped mine I've started to lose. I know it's a bit frightening, but I suggest you at least try for a couple weeks. You might surprise yourself!
