I love my Cairn Terrier, Piper, because he's adorable and he loves to cuddle with me and sleep on my bed, and if I'm sad he will snuggle me. Couldn't live without him.0

I think people are either "dog people" or "cat people", and I am absolutely a dog person.

This is our Angel. She's a Black and Tan Coon Hound. She looks like a cross between a Dobie and a Rot. but barks like a hound!
We found her (or she found us) one New Years Eve nearly seven years ago. She was on top of play ground equipment at a park near our house, and when we saw her it looked as if she was thinking about going down the slide!
Words fail to tell you what she means to us. In this picture she is munching on an organic carrot, her favorite treat! She will stick her nose up at a conventional one! She's loved carrots forever; no other vegetable will do!
Two days ago she fell ill. Today will be another trip to the vet. :O( I miss my walking buddy and we are all concerned since we don't know what has her feeling so awful.
She can't bark without raising up her front legs! It's so funny!
She loves her cats. Especially the brother and sister. She will groom them and they will pester her until she does!
She is a 60 lb. lap dog - I tease her that she must have been a teacup poodle in her former life!
She loves walks and hates thunderstorms.
She has helped our family get through many emotional times.
I can't wait to see her feeling better! I miss her whipping her long tail around as she contorts and yips a hello when I walk in the door.0 -
Because she loves me unconditionally, never talks back, trusting and forgiving, is extremely well behaved and smart!
I don't know how to post pictures here but she is a beagl-ish rescue dog. You can see her tail in one of my profile pics. LOL0 -

I love my dogs because they never complain. They are my walking companions in the heat of summer and even last night in the pelting rain. When I figure out how to get photos off of my iphone I will post them.0

I grew up without dogs and now at 31 I own 2 and I absolutely love them!!! Like most people said they know when you are sad, happy, or ready to play. We have a lab/golden mix (Noodles) who we've had since she was a puppy...she's mommy's girl and would lay cuddled in bed with me for as long as I let her. We also rescued a 100lbs Akita and I love him because he's super protective of his family...he can have a temper but never with me. Together they are the perfect balance of energy and mellowness.0

I have two dogs (ok, my parents do, but they are just ours, even if i don't live there anymore, nevermind...), both mongrels, and both adopted from a local pet shelter.
Why i love them so much? Because they really know how to show you eternal gratitude for taking them. It's really amazing how unconditionally a dog loves his owner. And every time i come to visit, it's a loud and extremely happy welcome. Ah, how could you not love them?
The big one is a boy, and his name is Ari, and the right one is a girl, her name is Bela.
(I can't seem to get the image working properly... Can anyone help with that? Thanks...)0 -
