I can honestly say I have spent more money on my dog than me...she was a diabetic. with thyroid and addisons...
For 5 years she had to have 2 shots a day of insulin and pills for the other...Sissy was the love of my life as
far as dogs go..She lived to be 12 years and 8 months...I MISS HER SOOOOO BAD...

My dog Brandy (a Newfie) was also a diabetic. She got used to the 2 needles a day. When she passed away in Sept she was 12. I didn't realize until she was gone how much time it took to feed her, give her shots, and check her blood. I was lost for a long time after she was gone. Now I don't stay at home nearly as much because the house is so empty. :brokenheart:

My Shiba - Kaya! I  her energy! Sometimes she's a neurotic mess, but she'll never let you in the door without bringing you a shoe - or a sock - or whatever she can get her mouth on!

and these are her evil co-horts - Brutus is the striped one, Peaches is the white one - this is what I am lucky enough to wake up to every morning - them hogging my side of the bed!

Dodger, the black and tan one, does the same thing. When I come home he meets me at the door, then takes off running and then runs back with what ever toy he could find.
