I forgot to mention that. We are either moving to a bigger place or paying our rent up a few months. I'm job hunting, graduated from dental school in Oct. We may wait til I get a job to move.

I already have my fiance and I's budgeted out:

    - big chunk into wedding account
    - paying off engagement ring
    - buying our wedding bands
    - paying off Best Buy bill
    - new iPhone for my fiance since his contract will be up next month
    - some to his mom who helped furnish bedroom furniture and clothes when he got custody of his daughter
    - and then a little bit left over for spending money

And hopefully the government will do what they're supposed to and garnish his daughter's deadbeat mom's tax return and send him a check for the $1000+ she currently owes us already, so that we'll have expenses paid for her for the next 6 months and can save save save any extra money of our own.

this is why I said for those of us getting a refund. I know a lot of friends who don't get a refund. One day I am sure will be me too.

I don't get much of a refund b/c my exemptions are such that I get my money in my paycheck rather than have Uncle Sam hold it til tax time. If I did get a big refund check I'd pay down debt and save at least 20%.

I WANT to use it to put towards a vacation next year. However, I SHOULD split it in half and pay off debt and buy a new table and chairs for the kitchen.

You're getting it worse than me. But it sucks paying in when you see the huge amount they take out of every check already.

It's going right to the Vegas fund. I have some friends getting married in May at the little white chapel. So I'm planning on partying quite hard. I'll need bail and gambling money. Also, I may need to buy new clothes, I'm looking to be down another 30 pounds approx. by then.

HAHA!! This is what mine is going for too!! my good friends are getting married in mid April in Vegas, so I need to be able to afford the trip, the fun, and a pretty bridesmaid dress!! hoping to be down about 25lbs by the time we leave!

What's a refund? Do you realize it was your money to begin with?

Yeah, but we didn't have it in our hot little hands to spend. There's the difference. I see it as a form of savings account! So the government makes interest with my money over the course of the year, then sends it back to me to spend on things.

Not getting a refund. I decided I don't want to give the Federal government an interest-free loan for 11 months every year, so I adjusted my withholding. I owe something like $7. Meanwhile, what *would* have been my tax refund has been sitting in my bank all year, earning interest for *ME* and not the government.

A refund..what's that? Since the kids have all moved out and finshed college we get no refund. If we get one I'd probably have enough to by a Tic-tac. I so need to win the lottery.

We get a refund, but not huge. We re-arranged our deductions so we have the money and not the guv'mint.

Wife is going to Germany in May for two weeks. She'll take most of it for spending money. I'll spend the rest on booze, cigars and hookers while she's gone.
