Guys who find curvy girls more attractive...

For me, a hot woman is a woman who is in command of herself. Overly skinny (Keira Knightley) just makes me shudder. Having a fling with her would be like jumping into a paddling pool filled with toothpicks. Someone mentioned Scarlett Johanssen earlier. She's sexy because she's athletic and capable... and not too skinny.
Curves, a'la Marylin Monroe or even Eva Mendez (ay carumba!!), are super sexy. Because they're toned, carry it well.
Really because if you ask me Kiera and marilyn dont look to different
it probably just depends on what picture you look at for each girl and what weight they are at in that picture0 -

you must have not seen her in all her movies because keira knightly normally is very very thin. check her out in the movie atonement. maryln i think was a size 10 kiera is probably a 0.0 -
Different strokes, I think. I do know guys who prefer really slender women, and guys who prefer chubbier/curvier etc. Most guys just like women to be healthy, happy and confident in themselves I think.0

If you read biographies about MM...she was actually your average sized woman....i think her heaviest weight was 150 or 160....which in today's society is considered "Fat" (yeah, I know, stupid, isn't it!)
Keira is what....110, soaking wet? She's a THIN girl....and I have read from numerous sources she has always been upset with her small frame, she'd love to have curves etc etc...
Might I also take this moment to inform the users, that little miss Marilyn was far from perfect.....she had an extra toe on one of her feet.
Not so "perfect" after all (in society's eyes)0 -
Also- think about era's gone by...the paintings in cathedrals... the women were "fluffy", developed...they had extra meat.
As time goes by, trends change and different things become "popular", "perfect" and "accepted".
don't worry, all my fluffy girls, our time will come again0 -
Curves are not about thin or thick. Not all thick girls are curvy. And there are plenty of thin girls that are.0

i think you look AMAZING btw.....0 -
I've dated all types of women and prefer a woman with curves!!! However a good personality means alot as well.0
-
I agree with curves but there are SO many times when an otherwise very attractive woman opens her mouth and quickly becomes detestable. Lots of celebs fit that category. Personality is always the biggest turn on (or off), then the other stuff.0

I'm with MissFit.
Thin, thick, whatever...as long as they're healthy and happy, they probably don't care. Why should we?

Marilyn's measurements:
Height: 5 feet, 5½ inches 167-8 cm's
Weight: 118-140 pounds 53-63kg
Bust: 35-37 inches
Waist: 22-23 inches
Hips: 35-36 inches
Bra size: 36D
Nuff Said.
Although I find these threads interesting to read, I also find it strange that us women seem to think all men like a certain type. Men are just like us!!!! We are all different, and like different things.
Sometimes I find chubby guys hot, sometimes I find skinnier guys hot!0 -
I like them exactly however my wife is currently......or was .....or will be0
-
I have a feeling there is going to be a wide range...
So how about
This...
And many in between. But that's just me.
Yes! Christina Hendricks for sure! (Also, refer to my profile pic of the three different sizes...)0 -
But if ALL guys only found girls with toned stomachs, etc., attractive, then the world would eventually die off.
There's someone for everyone.0 -
I'm 5'8". I was once over 230. I am now under 115. My husband has loved me and found me attractive at every.single.one. of the weights I've ever been. That's why I married him. My attractiveness to him isn't determined by the number on the scale. He thinks I looked *healthiest* at 130, and would like me to gain some weight because he knows my mom and sister are worried that I am currently too thin. But he thinks I'm hot at 115, and he thought I was hot at 230. He's a keeper!0

Depends on the woman.
There are women who great ripped, others who look great a little softer and those who rock out the curvy shape.
I've seen the fit ones go to the ripped stage and found them less attractive, and I've seen fit get a bit curvier and found them more attractive. I've seen Curvy get fit and found that more attractive.
So no true answer0 -

Exactly! People like different body types.0 -
I definitely find curvier women attractive. Somewhat prominent thighs, nice legs, wide hips, etc. However, not to the point where they seem obese.
I DON'T like stick figured women that look all bony and emaciated, neither healthy looking or attractive.0 -
My husband gets a big turn on by pleasantly plump woman in tight sexy clothes.....the perv!:grumble:0
-
I don't know any guys who'd say, "I like short, pale girls with small boobs and a big bum. Bonus points for bad eyesight and crooked teeth!"
But I've known plenty of guys who liked me.
It's a lot more satisfying to find someone who appreciates who you are than to try to mold yourself into what you think the stereotypical "they" might like.0 -

Here is a PG-13 -ish link with an example of my ah-ha moment regarding my weight, my college obsession with supermodels, my lifelong desire to be skinny... in one of the photos, the two (nude) females stand in close proximity (the photo is over the top un-necessary in the way they are posed, by my standards, but I'm not choosing to think of it the way I think it's meant, if you look you will know what I mean. Believe me it's nude women in a suggestive pose and if you get offended by stuff like that don't click!
My point is, I never before saw the contrast between a size 0 person and a size regular-female shape. The "plus size model" is what I consider to be a regular, normal, attractive body shape, and then there's the opposite extreme, the chicken bones stick twig figure commonly looked upon as the desirable haute couture model, mainly I guess because she is shaped like a clothes hanger, her body doesn't bulge out enough to influence the lines of the clothing or change the way the cut drapes?
It really hit home for me that wow, what "they" consider plus sized (in contrast to the size 0 girl which may be some people's goal unless they realize what that looks like!) is a way more attractive body type. Maybe that's just me. The magazine has lots of comments regarding encouraging plus sized people to stay an unhealthy weight etc. but geez, a person has to wear clothes and I don't see anything extrinsically motivating me to be anything, really. I'm intrinsically motivated to get healthy, for myself.0 -

Guys, what EXACTLY is the kind of preferred body type? What features do you tend to like and dislike?
There's no perfect mould we all have to strive to fit into. Do it for yourself if you feel like you need to do it, and stop when you're happy with where you've gotten. If you're not happy with yourself then your boyfriend will have to deal with you striving for happiness, but losing the weight for someone other than yourself because you think it's what he wants? Really silly.
I've been a lurker on the community for a few weeks now (signed up to MFP ages ago but haven't used it until now) and my mind boggles at some of these threads.
Well, I'm not asking so I can conform my body into some random group of strangers' ideal. Also I understand that people have different tastes. I'm just interested in getting a sense of what the norm is.
That said, most people tend to have a "type". I know what my type is, it's scruffy skinny alternative guys. Also funny enough, the guys that I've dated tended to date people who looked a bit like me in the past. Not to say it's a science, but there are preferences.
OF COURSE I'm losing weight for myself. I have high cholesterol and have a BMI of 25.7. And it's silly to pretend that looking good to the opposite sex isn't a motivating factor for ANYONE losing weight.0 -
ok, I don't know that I believe either these stats, nor these women's sizes. Or could it be the magic of airbrushing at work?0 -
I agree ^^^ I am a size 5 and don't look any where close to that model lol!0
-
Curves are what's all about. A girl without curves is just a man.0
-
Those models are also probably 6' tall.0
-
My husband loves curves, big butts, hips... my exact body shape-- hourglass. He doesn't like thin/skinny women-- which is obvious as to why he married me. lol.0
-

Okay I dunno how why i didn't think of that xD
