    February goal - 350 miles

    02/02 - 15 Miles - 84 Minutes - 1503 Calories - 48 Degrees, Sunny, strong crosswinds and head winds for most of the ride.
    02/03 - 15 Miles - 87 Minutes - 1419 Calories - 52 Degrees, Sunny.

    Totals - 30 Miles - 171 Minutes - 2922 Calories

    2/1 - 6 mile ride around my neighborhood.
    2/3 - 2.5 miles around my neighborhood again.

    Minus 7 before hitting the open roads and snow forecast over night...need to try and squeeze a ride in after it has warmed up a little!

    OK, don't expect to beat January's 1200 miles now that the cold spell to really bitting...

    Day 1: Daily commute, 34.56 miles, 165 mins, 1447 cals burnt (HRM)
    Day 2: Daily commute, 38.25 miles, 172 mins, 1516 cals burnt (HRM)
    Day 3: Daily commute, 22.99 miles, 102 mins, 980 cals burnt (HRM)
    No chance of big miles today - minus 5

    OK - managed to sneak a quick ride in...

    Day 4: General ride, 22.97 miles, 90 mins, 1137 cals burnt (HRM)

    February miles: 118.77

    YTD miles: 1325.83 miles

    I am buying a stationary bike today so I can start the challenge and be ready for road centuries as soon as the snow and ice allow me to get the recumbent back on the road!

    Rode:
    2/1- 8.0 inside on stationary
    2/3- 14.3 Hit 50 degrees outside in IN. so rode the trail

    Is there a way to save this blog to favorites to find easier again?

    WOW!! Can i just say all of you AMAZE me. I can't imagine riding all the miles you each do daily. However, you have made me want to try. It is still freezing and snow here BUT as soon as it improves I want to give it a try.

    2. 8.33 mi 30 min bike on trainer
    3. rest
    4. 20.09 mi 83 min bike on trainer
    TOTAL: 37.42

    And, we are off! (in oh so many ways).

    2/4 - 8 miles - inside using rode bike on bike rollers - what a work out! No brusies this time lol

    Stationary bike .. I can do 150 miles this month. That's 10 miles .. 15 days. I can definitely do that.

    I thought I was a tough cookie until now.... lol

    I applaud many of you who still ride outdoors even in -5 temperatures!! Not this chick:)

    I love taking century rides early spring - fall, but winter? I would totally be able to get 100 miles in a month on my trainer or on my recumbent exercise bike.

    I'm still new here, so can you tell do you do these challenges every month year around?

  • Sweet! I've been off the bike the past week due to illness and I have a race coming up on 10 March, so I'm jumping in on this!

    I need to hammer out at least 200 miles this month (really 300+, as I have a race coming up 10 March, but I'm not sure that's happening) -- so that's my mark.

    Thus far, I've done nothing worth mentioning, so I'm going to start at 0.

    My training plan calls for 77 miles this week, 85 the next week, and 93 the week after that, so if I hit my marks I should make it.
