A general rule of thumb for your weight goal for women is 100# for 5ft. and 1# for each inch over. Add 5# for body frame i.e. medium frame another 5#. Also, age over 50 can have another 5 -10 #.

    This can't possibly be right.

    I'm 5'6" w/ a small frame........but I'd be very underweight at only 106lbs. That doesn't even put me at a healthy BMI....
Yeah, this doesn't even remotely sound right. I'm 5' 1/2", I'd be 105lbs. Unless I cut off a less it would never happen. When I was at my thinest I was 114 and every one that knew me said I was just too thin.

    Hello!

I'm 5'4" and currently 125. My goal is 95 - 100 because I'm shorter and less muscular than most.

By the way, my highest weight was 191.8 (but I could've weighed more because I stopped weighing myself at a certain point). I estimate that I might have weighed over 200 pounds at one point.

I am 5' 3" and I currently weigh 129.6 but fluctuate all the way up to 133 and down to 127. My goal range is 120-124. Maintaining in the 120s will be great. My highest weight was 158.6 the end of 2010.

    I am 5' 4"
    37 yrs old
    Starting Weight 217 (January 27, 2011)
    Current weight 128
My original goal weight was 145 so I could hit the top of the healthy range. I never really expected to meet that goal since I've been overweight my entire adult life. But thanks to MFP and some amazing friends I've met here, I've surpassed that goal weight. I have shifted my goal weight a couple of times, because I'm still not happy with the flubber around my middle.
Ultimate goal weight is 120 (I think)

I currently eat between 1900 and 2200 calories a day, strength train 2xs a week and do cardio 2xs per week. I'm losing about 1 pound per week, and hoping to do that until I lifted the remains of my kegger off to reveal the six-pack abs beneath!

HI! I'm 5 feet exactly! 21 years old, I have 2 little boys ages 2 yrs and 11 months (both delivered by c-sections) My starting weight was 185 in March 2010, after having my last son in March of last year ( 2011 ) i got down to 165, then I found mfp and completed one round of TURBO FIRE and got down to 154. While still working towards my ultimate goal of 120 I found out I was pregnant in December 2011, unfortunately 3 weeks ago, I miscarried at 3 months..Post miscarriage weight was 166...I'm now back down to 156 (last time i weighed)...Due to doctor's order, I won't be able to workout again until next week...but I plan on going at it full force trying to get to 120!!! In my opinion it's a little harder when you're this short! you carry weight very easily, but that's MY opinion only! I know that it can be done!!!
