You look amazing. I'm so glad it was the right choice for you! :flowerforyou:
I haven't had trouble with loose skin as of yet with my weight loss. I've been losing it rather gradually and do a lot of strength training and yoga - and of course cardio. I'm a bit worried that I may have some when I'm finished but there's no way on earth I can afford a tummy tuck. :laugh:0 -
Fantastic results!.. :drinker:0

I think you look absolutely amazing! It really is a personal decision...if the extra skin bothered you, then why not get it done? Your obviously so happy with the results, and you look great! You worked hard for it!0

This is definitely something I have considered...but never really looked in to so I have a few questions if I may? How painful was it.?? What does the scar or suture area look like or how big is it? If you plan on having kids this is not an option until afterwards..is that right??
Thanks,
Shannon0 -
I thought that was my tummy (your before pix of course) lol. you look great. Hawt!!!!
Those loose skin...
Really it wont go away ??? I'm pretty sad. no $ for surgeryWell, after about a year and a half long journey, i lost the weight and was "thin" for the first time in my life. Unfortunately being heavy for 25 years took its toll on my 5'2 frame and i was left with a generally fit body with a small stretchmarked gut in the center that was composed of mostly skin and would NOT go away with any amount of working out.
I consulted with a great plastic surgeon and had abdominoplasty on Jan. 24th. Im only 3 weeks out so the swelling is still bad and the scar is red and nasty at times (lol) but i cant tell you how amazing it feels to get rid of something so demotivating (try staring at the mini-belly dangling down mid push up and not get discouraged)
Its not for everyone, and i know that. but it was the right choice for ME, and for the first time i think thats whats important.

Awesome! I plan on doing the same thing when I get this weight off! How painful was it and what was your recovery time?0
-
u look amazing! I am 27 and I am hoping my skin will bounce into place naturally but honestly if it doesnt, I would totally get the tummy tuck! Good for you!0

I had one done in 2003 and have never regretted that decision. My belly STILL rocks! I just wish now the thighs would go.0

I've heard that Burn care centers will remove the excess skin, from weight loss, for free if they get to keep the excess skin. They'll use it for burn victims that need, well new skin.0

THIS IS AMAZING and really inspiring! You look great, congratulations and such0

OP you look beautiful - you worked hard and I totally get why you did it. I got up to 194 in my second pregnancy, started MFP at 165 and am now down to 127, and my belly skin just hangs there. I will get in plank position and look down and even though my muscles are pulled in, there is this wrinkled up big chunk of skin/fat that just hangs there. You can even see this one dimple where a small part of it is trying to go where the muscles want it to go but the rest just hangs. I hate it. It occasionally makes me cry. All this hard work and THAT is not going to go anywhere. My husband has already said we can think about surgery in the future if it's something I really want, but I'm not done having kids yet so I can't even consider it until we're done. It is so frustrating.
Congrats and your results are awesome - and I'd be interested in those scar pics when you're ready to share.0 -
WOW!! You look fabulous 3 weeks out!!
Love that you did it for you, that how I felt about mine as well. Congrats on being happy and confident in your decision!!0 -
That is amazing! Looks great ad congrats on losing the weight the right way.0

Holy cow!!! That looks great! So many times I see tummy tucks that look "weird". I don't know how to explain it, pulled...stretched... just not natural. But yours looks 100% natural and so awesome!!!
Awesome on the weight loss too!
Congratulations on your loss, and on picking a great surgeon! It's like none of it ever happened!0 -
thanks for posting!!! i've been thinking about it!0

I blurted out OMG!!!!.......When I saw your final pic! I have been tossing around the idea of a tummy tuck I am 5'1 and have lost a 134 lbs. I have nasty loose dangly dimpled chicken skin across my lower abdomen. I am now 117 lbs. I do feel discouraged when working out and look and see the loose skin just flapping away.
Thank you for sharing!
