Ladies, do you wear undies when working out?

Always wear underwear, thongs only though, I just find them more comfortable and personally I try to avoid vpl's, lol. Really, that's the only kind of underwear I ever wear.0
-
omg do people really not wear underwear when they work out?! ugh
This shocks me too. I always wear underwear when I workout, usually 100%cotton bikini underwear like I wear on a normal day. I always pack a clean pair for afterwards.0 -
yes i do and then i come home and shower and put new ones on or go commando if none are clean lmao i am slacker at laundry lmao0
-
I dont wear shoes either but lately I had some calf pain right after working out at home and I think it's because of the no shoe thing.. I never get those at the gym...0
-
Is it wrong that i wonder what it would smell like in there if every woman went commando? I mean gyms are pretty smell as it is...ew.0
-
Thong and workout? I'm not sure how comfortable that is.0

RIGHT on the snail trail!!! All my sweat seems to run that way no matter what work out I do. So its always black or navy workout pantsand granny panties. I work out in the women's section so thats a plus but you have to walk right out through the mens section to get to the drink machine, stand up tanning beds or the freaking front door. So all they will see is your *kitten*!!!! And who wants to look like they "tinkled" on themselves walking past HOT GUYS!!! How mortifying. Its not bad enough you look like you were attacked by a grizly bear hear sticking out all over your head, red faced, panting heavily and not the reason I would like to be, that you need a wet streak running down your crack and crotch!!! AHAHAHAHA0

I have never worn underwear when I workout. I tried once and felt like I was wearing a diaper.0
-
Nope, way too uncomfortable.0
-
I wear thongs to the gym.. mainly because I wear yoga pants or tights...0
-
nope dont wear them at all0
-
I'm amused that people think your hoo-haa is going to smell worse without underwear?
You think your sopping wet cotton panties aren't housing that smell?
Wipe your armpit with a towel and see if that smell sticks around. Too funny.0 -

The responses are so funny....this is just as bad as my debate. I think it all boils down to personal preference. hmmmmmmmm0

I wear panties but my booty swallows them. Now I need to look into some workout underwear but I don't they come in my size SMDH0

It amuses me how many people on this thread think underwear has some magical scent containing powers. How is that only tiny layer of fabric going to make a difference.
As for me, depends on what workout pants I'm wearing. Yoga pants or capris or similar tight work out pants, then no. Those super short sweatpant shorts, obviously yes otherwise everyone and their mother would be getting a nice view of the kitkat.0 -
Nope. Most of my pants are really tight and there's nothing worse than a wedgie while you're running! Also, the running shorts that I buy always have some pseudo-underwear built in.0
-
If I didn't wear undies, I would for sure feel like something was missing! Oh, wait a minute....there would be!!! LOL0
-
Yes I do...and the thought of others in the gym NOT wearing and then sweating profusely make me EVEN more determined to be sure I wipe down benches BEFORE I use them

EXACTLY! It's unhygienic and gross. Working out is when you should wear them the most.. urgh. That's the whole reason we even wear underwear people. Didn't your mothers teach you that?0 -

HAHAH! I say the same thing ... I can't wear underwear because my butt eats them!0 -
I always wore underwear, spandex shorts, then my normal shorts or pants. After a girl on my soccer team told me about how she doesn't wear underwear under her spandex I decided to give it a try...I will never go back! Spandex shorts hold everything in place, and act as a barrier between your lady bits and shorts...and there's no potential for a wedgie.0
-
I NEVER wear underwear while working out. I couldn't care less about panty lines showing, but why give myself any more opportunities for chafing?? I also couldn't imagine dealing with a wedgie while running. And I only grudgingly wear thongs to begin with so those are not an option either. Going commando is so comfortable! I actually wore undies the other day during a spin workout and was so uncomfortable; I felt restricted and like I had a bajillion clothes on.
I usually wear tights or capris, and they usually have a built-in panty liner thing. I already sweat like crazy everywhere and so wearing undies wouldn't do anything about that. That's why I wipe off any machines/benches/mats I use, but I would do that regardless. But I do feel awkward sometimes when I bare my butt in the locker room. I feel like I'm being judged.0 -

I don't understand this. Wearing cotton next to the sweatiest area ever is not at all hygienic; it holds the sweat next to the body so the funk can happen. At least workout pants (or undies) made from technical material wick the moisture away from the body and attempt to keep the funk-factory dry. But I don't think wearing cotton will make you less sweaty/less stinky/more hygienic.
In the end, it's all about personal preference.
And frankly, I'm there to sweat. If someone is grossed out about my sweat at the gym, they probably shouldn't be there.0 -
what's the difference between going commando or wearing a thong....both of them don't cover the parts that the "hygiene worriers" are concerned about0
-
i never go anywhere except around the house without underwear..
'_' & ladied ... if u are getting a wedgie while running... your underwear are probably too big..
wear boy shorts ..
& im with the other ladies.. i wear a liner while working out .. why would u want to walk around in absorbed sweat ? thats just gross a.f0 -
You are going to get sweat there whether it is in your panties, your shorts or your leggings. I would assume that anybody sweating would shower and change into something clean after....just saying0
-
Hells yes I do. Just thinking of the friction I get from jogging or running... Those are how crotch fires get started!0

It would by unhygienic to wear nothing at all. Proper work out attire has built in lining and barriers for this very reason. There is absolutely nothing unhygienic about it. Wearing the appropriate work out gear prevents any issues.
My mother is actually the one who introduced me to the Nike running shorts with built ins and Nike and Under Armor running tights with the lining in the crotch (so that I don't have to wear underwear)0 -

This isn't panty related but I think you'll get a kick out of it http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/487196-so-guys-is-it-true-that-a-sweaty-woman-at-the-gym-is-hot0
