What, nobody's said Radiohead? I know they're considered an 00s band, with Kid A and so on, but OK Computer is an amazing 90s album.0
-
Nine Inch Nails (ok they are from late 80's)
Garbage
Placebo
I'm trying to think of others I like but many in my head are from the late 80's.
I'm in the same boat...a lot of my favorite bands played through the 90s, but got their start much earlier...Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and the Cure to this day...but they started earlier.
If I had to go with a 90s only band....it would have to be Goo Goo Dolls, Beck, and Jane's Addiction.0 -
I'm going to throw a band out there that probably 95% haven't even heard of... my favorite band of all time... Dream Theater.0
-
Jane's Addiction and Porno for Pyros0
-
hahaha. oooh the memories lol0
-
The Levellers, still going strong and host their own festival every summer.0
-
Dont forget Red Hot Chili Peppers.
they are from the 80's. I even remember seeing them on very late night MTV in late 85.0 -
Jane's Addiction and Porno for Pyros
sorry but JA is also from the 80's. PfP came in the 90's after JA split for a while.0 -

Love these guys but technically 80's, they cut their first album in I think 1982 and even Blood Sugar Sex Magic, their breakthrough album was I think 19890 -
sorry lowfatpie you type faster than me0

This is a cool topic. I could go on and on with a list, but my top 5 (which to this day are still my favorites) are:
1) Alice in Chains
2) Stone Temple Pilots
3) Soundgarden
4) Nirvana
5) Foo Fighters0 -

Yes, but they peaked in 90-91, so pretty sure it counts. Same with RHCP.0 -

It would seem we like the same music0 -

Yes, but they didn't actually become widely known until 1990, and split up in 91.
but 'widely known' does not a 90's band makesome of us were already listening to them in the 80's...
