I eat some sweets
Or I don't.
Depends on whether I have enough calories left for the day.0 -
Eat a little bit, or if you allow yourself a "splurge day" indulge a little bit.0

I've always been a massive chocoholic, and I get cravings a lot. But as it is Summer here in New Zealand at the moment, some of my favourite fruits like Rockmelon and strawberries are in season. So I just get whole rockmelons from the supermarket and eat that, it's sweet and helps me forget about chocolate.0

I go through a pack of sugar free gum a day. That's helped so far (for the most part).0

Here's one. Instead posting another tasty sounding "low cal" semi-food crap snack in your face. Try this: Suck it up and don't eat it don't eat anything! How about that! It's a craving. Stop and think about what a craving is. It's hormonal. You fight that sum bltch off like all other urges you don't want to give in to. Do some yoga, meditate, eat a pickle or two. You know you have food, that you're not going to die. Retrain your body and your hormones or otherwise you'll always be at the call of your urges. Eventually, to have mastery over your intake, you're going to flat out have to kick your own *kitten*. Hell what about people giving up crazy bad drugs or alcoholism. You don't tell them to just have a little. When you master your intake, then you can plan it into your intake. If you haven't totally transformed your metabolism yet, then you need to stretch and stretch and stretch it out longer. Now if you've been super strict for over a week or two weeks, then it's all up to you on how much of a setback(time) you want to spend on it.If you're doing a low carb approach, you need to have a load day. Carb loads usually make me so tired of carbs that I don't want much more for a week. If your intake is mastered, even a 500 calorie swing shouldn't mess you up. I'd do a 500 calorie cheat, then adjust the following day, and I might even cut that intake down lower, and maybe not workout as much, in order to be able to eat less. I don't know if you've noticed, but trying to negate food with exercise sucks and is not optimal. And don't forget everytime you eat "diet" sweeteners you're adding to your toxic crap intake. Aspartame, acesulfame potassium, a pack of gum and diet drink and you're in neurotoxin city. If it's early in the day, make a cup of coffee or some caffeine. This helps alot of people. some people get more hungry on caffeine. Only you know.0

What? You do? Do you log the calories from the gum? Are you not eating very much during the day? Why so much?0 -
Fresh strawberries or a Kiwi0

Since it's a natural (not processed) sugar, it digests mostly in your mouth. So, have a tablespoon full, swish it around, then swallow. Of course, real sugar like maple syrup is not cheating.
Yeah, how is that theory working out for you?0 -
Imagine a really disgusting food that you don't like and picture yourself eating the two foods mashed together. It's pretty good at stoping a craving. If on the other hand, you want to give in to your craving, I'd go with the other posters and say have a little amount rather than going crazy. Good luck!0

If you have the calories available eat what you are craving for. If you don't have enough available calories you could exercise and eat back your surplus calories to allow you to have your treat. You don't have to deprive yourself; we all just need to make sensible choices. Enjoy your treat, don't beet yourself up about it and savour it knowing you’re in control.0

Why don't you buy sugar free jellies? It only has like 9 calories per serving, I usually have double the servings, so it's not actually that bad. It's nice and sweet just like regular jelly.
I prefer Orange and the Lemon and Lime ones. If I know I've had something a little high in sugar for Breakfast or Dinner, I will make a jelly for the Evening and have some if I am craving something sweet.
It's quite hard, I have trouble getting past those cravings, sometimes you have to give in at least once in your diet or else you are just going to go insane and you will be unhappy and it could cause you to become a bit wobbly on your diet overall.0 -
I consider punching myself in the face...... I don't. Then I eat a Big Stick Popsicle......0

I eat them if it's really bad, or I'd just give in later and eat an entire pack of biscuits or something!
Sometimes I have an Options Wicked White Hot Chocolate, which is about 40cals and totally worth it with a Rich Tea (35cals) and that wards it off.
Or Hartleys Sugar Free Jelly which is only about 40cals with a tiny bit of Squeezy Condensed Milk from the tube on it.
I have a sweet tooth so these are my coping mechanisms, hope they help!0 -
I hug my wife or daughter.
that was sso cute!0
