I'm just under 5'4 and the lowest I've been was 130lb and I was in small 8s and some 6s. That's NZ sizes so the equiv of small 4s and some 2s US sizes.0

this is why i think i need to lower my body fat a little bit... i think i should be able to wear mostly 4's and 2's at this weight.0

I usually wear 2 or 4 from express/gap. 28" for jeans with waist size. Right now I am sitting at 134, but clothes stayed the same at my lowest 1240

I'm 125 and 5'5''. I wear size 2-3 and all my tops are small.0

It depends on where your body distributes your weight... are you apple shaped? If you carry weight around your middle section, the smaller sizes won't be able to button at your waist. Weight on the scale is just a number. What are your measurements? I would put someone at that height around a 4 or 6. I know someone who is that height/weight and she wears a larger pant size than me, and I have 10 lbs on her, easily.0 -
My mom is 5'5" and about 125, she wears a size 2...skinny *kitten* that woman is...0

I'm 5'5 and was 127.5 on Monday. I wear 5/6's and they fit really well at the beginning and then become baggy after a few hours. I have tried on some 3/4's and they fit, but are a little tight for my comfort level.0

It all depends on your body shape, too though.
I could get back down to 130lb now (although I'm not aiming for it by any means) but I'm 10 years and 2 kids older. My body was still developing back then (@17) and my hips are wider now too. I'd never get much smaller than a NZ10/US6 now just because of my hips, no matter what weight.0 -
Depending on body type, size can vary.0

exactly! my waist is 28-29 depending on the day. my hips are 35-36... you would think i could wear 2's and 4's but i do carry weight around the middle. i hate that! wish i could change up how things are distributed. i look like a boy with no waist0 -
When I was 135 (5'3) I still wore a size 8. I don't have much of a butt, and my stomach was fairly flat. I could have probably lost a little more weight but I was extremely happy were I was at.0

I am 5'4". When I used to be 130ish lb, I can only fit into a size 8 pants. It doesn't help that I have pear shaped body. My hip/butt won't let me fit into anything smaller2

i'm pregnant now. but when i was 133-ish i wore 2's from american eagle. some 4's depending on cut.0

If your waist is a 28-29, that would put you in a 4-6. That's why you can't get into a 2. Size 2 is generally a 25-26 inch waist. I have a 27.5 inch waist and I wear a 6 generally, sometimes a 4, my butt is my issue so if the hips are free or stretchy, I wear a smaller size.0 -
i can wear low rise pretty well but anythign that is a normal cut i have to wear a larger size because of having no waist.0

I'm 5'5" and when I was in junior high/high school I weighed 115-125 and I don't remember every being smaller than a 7. *Maybe* in junior high I was a 5. But, I've always had good sized hips and booty. When I was 130ish I did fit into a size 4 pair of Banana Republic jeans. My goal is to get back into them!1

I haven't been 125 for about 10 years, but when I was 125 I wore a size 6. I have a feeling that if I were to get back down to 125 now, though, that I would be a little bigger, just because I've matured more since then.0

it's so hard to tell anyway with all this vanity sizing! i wish they'd just use waist/hips... i wouldn't really care, at least i'd know what size to buy3

Defined waist dresses with a belt, girl, that's all I'm sayin' haha0 -
The smallest I can remember that I was -- right out of high school heading to college -- I was at 110-115 lbs and wore a size 4. But, I think clothing sizes may be different these days? I don't remember ever hearing of a size 0 back then. Not sure. The last time I worked my way down to 165-170 I was at a size 12. So 125 may put it at a 5 or 6 maybe. But, body type will have something to do with it also.0

I'm 5'4" as well and the last time I was 125 was pre-babies. I have always been very athletic and I have small hips but when I was around 120 I was in a size 0 and they were a little big. The best weight for my frame (T frame like a football player...lol) is 135-145 and that will put me in a size 4/5.
Hope this helps.0 -
I am 125 ish and 5'5" and wear a UK 8, US 2.
^ that's a US4, FYI.0 -

Sorry, am having weirdness with my browser.0 -
body shape is def a big factor.. the women in my family are extremely skinny with wider hips and tall .. so even tho they only weight 110 - 120 they still have to wear anywhere from a 4 or a 6.. i didn't get the hips so at my smallest i can wear a zero or a 1 since i have tiny hips and am the short one lol . i have a LONG way to go to get there again but hopefully it will happen.. but i would say don't go so much on jean size as personal comfort zone. some women look better with a couple extra pounds to not look sickly skinny.0

I wear a small top but a 6 bottom. I carry most of my weight on the hips/thighs.
Instead of trying to lose any more weight on the scale, I'm trying to gain muscle and decrease fat % and hopefully will see some measurements go down!0 -

It's really not. I know technically it should be, but the sizings just don't work like that. The US clothes I have are all 0s and 2s. I have a pair of size 4 jeans that are too big for me.
A lot of UK 8s are too big for me, but that's vanity sizing. Anyway, there are no shops in my town that sell smaller than an 8, so that's what I buy. It basically means the smallest size. I wear a 25 in jeans.0 -
Sizes are completely arbitrary, you should just get over the obsession and focus on your body measurements.
To put it in perspective, I have size 00 to size 8 in my closet, and I can fit in all of them (I'm 5' 6' and 135 lbs by the way). The 00s come from modern stores that cater to an older business crowd like Ann Taylor and White House Black Market. The 8s are mostly vintage. The size 2-4 stuff mostly comes from stores that cater to younger crowds (like Antropolgie, Victoria's Secret). The people marketing these brands are smart and know that most 20 something women don't want to be an XL- so they make they just cut the clothes bigger and leave the size the same (this is why Marilyn Monroe was an 8 in her time, and more like a 2 to today's standards, which aren't very standard).
My pants sized by inches are anywhere from 26'-30' and again they all fit. It depends on where the pants sit on your waist, how many times they've been washed, the factory they're made it, the year they were made in, and so many other things it's not even worth it to consider size. To further my point, I have 3 pairs of the same brand of jeans- size 27, 28, and 29. Do you see how much variance there is? In one brand I wear 3 sizes!! That's crazy!
When I shop I don't look at sizes AT ALL. I just pick the one off the rack that looks like it will fit on my body and try it on. Then I go one size up or down from there if I need, but I know it doesn't matter. To me sizes are just a big lie, so why keep trying to subscribe to a lie?6
