Tattoo programmes which have only come about the past couple of years VS tattoos for Centuries... Use your common knowledge/sense please.

30 years ago the number people who got tattoos was small. Now it is large. It is very trendy. That's why everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Now, it may be that if you were around 30 years ago, you might have been one of the minority who still would have gotten tattoos, but that doesn't change the fact that it's trendy and so "me too" at the moment.

You are showing again how very little you know. Yes, tattooing and body modification is more in the public eye. That does not however mean it is more trendy nor that people are jumping on the band wagon.

Couldn't disagree more. Trendy is sport tattoo's or tramp stamps (lower back tattoos) or barb wire arm bands. not all tattoos are trendy and the folks that put in hours under the needle need to be respected because that is balls to the wall!!!!

It was uncommon 30 years ago. If I took this discussion more seriously, I'd research the statistics. I'm sure they exist.

Nothing I said has been disproven. It is a current trend that has spread out across many societal segments where it used to be rare. This is a fact. You should be happy that there are more people with tattoos. It gives you more people to relate to. If you don't like the fact that it is trendy, I'd suggest you take it out on the posers who have made it so.

I do and don't like them. I think it depends on the look of it and placement on others. I personally have 3. I like them and will be getting more.

I love them, and think they look amazing and tell a story. I currently have 5 tattoos. One across my shoulder blades, one on my right upper arm, one at the base of my back, one on the side of my right hand and one behind my right ear. I also know where I want my next 5 to be.

You think the media made tattooing popular and trendy? It's more like the other way around. More and more people started getting tattoos and the media started covering it.

I think it's funny that the most offensive thing someone could say about tattoos is that they are trendy. It's a fact. You can like or dislike a fact, but you can't make it not exist.
