My motto in the gym is "Go hard or go home". It gets me to focus on why im really there and to give it all i got.
That's mine too! And I listen to the song T.H.E. when working out! I LOVE Will.I.am0 -
I have a few pictures posed next to some workouts on the wall in my "exercise room / office" .
"Strength does not come from physical capacity but from indomitable will."
"Yesterday you said tomorrow"
You can feel SORE tomorrow or you can feel SORRY tomorrow. Your decision."
"No matter how slow you go you are still lapping everyone on the couch"
Most of my problems are actually getting myself to exercise, I don't have too much of a problem with food because I generally don't buy bad foods.I only have problems with will power if its something already purchased and in my house. I always think "Are you going to pay money to regret something?" . As I am a poor student this generally works for me.0 -
" however slow u are going you are still lapping those sitting on the couch"
"it's a marathon not a Sprint"
Both these help me focus on my goal when I feel I'm not getting anywhere with my exercise0 -
Do you have one?
Yesterday someone posted a phrase they use (keep in their heads) to help them focus and/or conquer cravings or whatever...
Nothing tastes as good as slim feels (or something terrific like that)
Mine is, when I'm exercising and really wanting to quit, because I'm sweating or it's just plain hard is:
Ha! My fat is crying. CRY FAT ...CRY
How about you?
I haven't read the whole thread but I just had to say, I LOVE THIS! I printed out a dozen copies (in huge red letters) and taped them up all over my house. Can't wait to get back on the treadmill and when I start to struggle, just yell, "Cry, fat, CRY!!!!"0 -
"you're young, strong and healthy"
I know people who have fybromyalgia/RA (a bit older than me) and chronic back pain (a month older) and somehow feel I owe it to them to make the most of my body which doesn't have the same limitations.0 -
Here's another one I love;
Haha! Love it!0 -
Unless you puke faint or die keep going
One of my all time FAVORITES! When I'm about as tired as I can possibly get while "getting my sweat on", I repeat this quote in my head over and over!!!0 -
"You can suffer the pain of change or suffer remaining the way you are." --Joyce Meyer0
-
"You KNOW you prefer being lighter"
Works for me0 -
When I'm doing c25k and increasing my time I always tell myself 'dont let your head quit before your legs"...it's my tendency to talk myself out of doing things, so it helps
That, and I'll write my daily workout(s) on a whiteboard above my bed and add in any inspirational quotes I find online or on pinterest0 -
Mine is: ""Others dream of success ... while others wake up and work hard at it." - Dave Ramsey "0
-
These are brilliant! I have written a couple down for myself.
Depending on what mood I am in or what I am doing:
"Patience not perfection"
and
"Man up B***h!!"0 -
Nothing tastes as good as lean and fit feels.
I also talk to myself on the treadmill and the elliptical and the stationary bike on a regular basis. Do you think
that it will just melt away? Or, you are done when your are done!0 -
I like "Sweat is fat crying" and "no matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch"0
-
Don't quit when you're tired, quit when you're done!!0
-
Mine are "Excuses are for people who don't want it bad enough"
And also "Don't stop, push harder, keep going"
Simple and easy to remember and chant internally to push through the tough part of a workout.
I have tons of quotes I love but these 2 simple ones seem to run through my head the most while working out.0 -
Just remember folks, It's MIND OVER MATTER.....

I have three: 1) The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. 2) Eventually something has got to change (if I'm not seeing results). 3) I'm sick of being fat!
But i like your's. Think I will add it.0 -
two slices of pizza will always have more calories than one.0

Mine is a response to someone who says they don't have time to exercise. I say: Walk around the block during your lunch or break. They say: That is not enough to even count as exercise. So here it is~~~~I say: Remember when it comes to exercise, SOMETHING is better than NOTHING!0
-
I like "Sweat is fat crying" and "no matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch"
Like the couch quote it goes well with: SOMETHING is better than NOTHING!0 -
"Do not give up what you want the most, for what you want in the moment."
I live this lately!0 -
I used to hate to have to walk and climb stairs, till I considered what my life would be like if I COULDN'T!0

-
My motivation: Seeing someone bigger than me and sating, "I know I can, I know I can!!" or saying, Hell no the fat has to go!!0
-
During my runs, I like to think of each run as individual "free therapy". I don't have to pay for someone to listen to me talk about my worries; I can just run them out of my feet. So my main thought is "Cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap.."
Basically, I have the sound of marshmallow Peeps playing in my head. It's awesome.0 -
3 words i say (should start saying everyday though, lol)
JUST BE GOOD...0 -
For food: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. I've lost 70 lbs and I can tell you it's 100% true.
For exercise: I have a bodybugg so I ask myself if I'm going to be happy with what I see later. If I feel like I can wring a few more calories burned out of myself then I know I need to try harder!0
