Significant other not going to work/school when they say the

If you found out your significant other (wife/husband/bf/gf) was not going to school or work when they said they were, what would you do?
EDIT: in this example, they are suppose to be going to work/school while you are at work/school, but instead they're staying home, so they're probably not cheating, but they're not going to work/school, yet they lie about school activities, paycheck delayed, etc

Cut off their left pinky toe.0

question why my significant other is lying to me in the first place0
-
Have a nice long talk.0
-
Find out why they feel the need to lie about something. What are they covering up?0
-
Kick them to the curb... but I'd certainly want to find out what was REALLY going on first...0
-
If I was 100% positive, I would confront them.0
-
ask em about it?
Really!0 -
Have a serious conversation about what is going on while attempting to remain calm. OR have a buddy follow them/stake out the house. Depends on what day of the week it is.0
-
Find out where they were going by stalking them down or just asking. Your choice.0
-
ask them what the hell they were doing instead.
then slap a *****.0 -
This happened to my cousin, and it didn't end well... Please talk to him/her NOW!0
-
Assuming they are cheating. My ex did this to me, I found out he wasn't going to work because he got fired, was leaving everyday to go to see another lady....0
-
I would want to know why they felt the need to hide it from me and what they were doing instead.
If they refuse an answer I would then think that they have something to hide.0 -
Oh there'd definitely be a big, long chat...and i would want to know a) why they lied. b) what were they doing then? and c) why did they feel they couldn't tell me?0
-
I would find out where they are going and then catch them up in the lie. Lol.
You cant really believe suspicion unless you see it first hand for yourself.
& then have a very long talk about it.0 -
I would talk about it. My cousin did that. He was afraid to tell anyone he'd dropped out of college, so he pretended to go for months until he got caught.0
-
Like playing hooky for a day, or meeting up with someone else?
but then again, why would they not tell you they are taking a day off unless they were meeting up with someone....0 -
First, I would make sure they didn't have that winning Mega Millions ticket. If they did...........all would be forgiven. If not, they got some splainin to do.0

Cut them.0

^^^ My favorite response of the day. Lol.0 -
Confront them and find out what they're actually doing. Honesty and trust are important, so I'd be really upset about it.0
-
Pretty much what everyone else said, figure out what they are hiding, and why they are lying. Then I'd drop em like a bad habbit.0
-
depends on where they are going and what they are doing when they get there.0

I had a friend of mine pretend to go to work for almost two weeks before his wife caught him. She called the office to ask him some question, and found out he had been let go two weeks ago. He was simply too embarrassed to tell his wife, and was working his butt off trying to find a new job.
What he did wasn't right, but it wasn't the worst possible scenario either. Talk about it.0 -
I had this happen to me. I confronted him & then brokeup with him.0
-
Ask them! There may very well be a legitimate reason, but it seems our minds always jump to the worse possible scenarios first. I wouldn't sneak around to try to figure something out because that will only cause more turmoil. Hope this helps!0

This happened to me, he said he was going to uni for a whole year and he wasn't. :-( he lied cos he was ashamed he'd failed and I'm still with him.0
-
I used to lie about going to class because I wanted to sleep in, and didn't want to seem lazy lol0
-
Is it a regular thing or a one off? I'd see if it's happening consistently before I jumped to any conclusions. There have been times i've told my SO i'm doing something but then my plans have changed. Perhaps they have a doc apt they didn't want to talk about, perhaps it was a freak occurrence. I'd def get my facts straight before confronting them0
