95% of my workout is in my apartment complex gym. I have learned to make it work, everything else is outside.0

My treadmill is in my basement. This godforsaken Jillian Michaels dvd crap is done on the first floor living room. Ugh. I hate her.
I hate her SO MUCH. My daughter is usually on the computer as ol' Jillian is running me through the drill. She gives me encouragement by saying things like, "Is that lady CRAZY? She's telling you to *WHAT*? Look, Mom, you did it!"
It helps to have a cheerleader who also hates her.0 -

Ha! I'm about to start 30 DS and I actually told my husband... "you know, my hatred for that woman, and the level of annoyance she brings me MAY make me angry enough to push through the pain."
I just find her annoying. I know a lot of people love her. Many of my friends idolize her... she annoys me.0 -
I have a membership at the Y. They are pretty good. My only complaint is that they don't offer enough for children my sons age who is 12. They came up with classes for 6 to 13 but thereb hasn't been much interest and the Y hasn't been reliable with it. My son is old enough to explore the Y on his own but I perfer supervision so it does cause me some stress if they don't keep their word. Today, he is going to get an orientation to use the cardio so I will be working out to mom mom mom.0

SnapFitness. I've heard some people say that it's too small for their liking, but it definitely gets the job done for me. The fact that it's small means you get to know a lot of people, and everyone's super friendly.
I worked out at the Y for a bit too. I was happy with that, but it's just too far from my house now.0 -
I do most of my work outs at home. I go to my friend's house and run on her treadmill at least once a week, do a weekly fitness class with a personal trainer, pilates and Jillian Michaels at home, and when it's nice out, I put on my roller skates and do a 4-6 mile outdoor path along the water.

There's a Bally's-turned-LA Fitness (still paying Bally's prices, yeahhh) across the street from my apartment, at Marina del Rey 10 minutes away, and next to my work office building. I needed convenience, otherwise I knew I wouldn't go. When it was a Bally's I hated going because it was not taken care of very well. Now it's clean AND full of good looking people. My lady friends and I love their yoga classes and treadmills at the marina location...view of the water! Inspiring for taking long walks after0

I spend a lot of time with my personal trainer, Molly, an Old English Sheepdog/Border Collie puppy, doing cardio outside. Then, to mix it up, I hit the local gym for weights and more intense cardio.0

DVD's are done in the basement or in my tiny bedroom if someone is in the basement and I'm too embarrassed to workout in front of them.
And I run outside.0 -
I workout at home mostly because I live in the country and don't have a gym close by anymore like a YMCA with childcare. It's very hard to stay on track because after working all day I go home and just want to relax and eat. But I'm having to force myself to workout on the treadmill and use the weights. I'm thinking about trying the Jillian Michaels DVD's but I'm about 50lbs overweight. Any recommendations? Have any of you tried her program or is there a better one out there?0

PLANET FITNESS! its a great gym.....$10 a month .....cant beat that..... when I first joined the staff was not very friendly...one day I ask them to buy a small E-Z curl bar for the Smith machine and the girl told me to do the online survey and request it...I did the survey and it asked about the friendliness of the staff so I put my honest evaluation....said they were just plain rude.....well i didnt know the email went right back to my gym...HA! the next day the whole dang place was falling all over themselves being nice and talking to me...
I guess the eval went to the home office too...so funny...
anyway its a great gym that is so clean and has great equipment.....
try it you will like it.....0 -
I workout at a Gold's Gym. It's pretty good and they have essentially everything I need. I still think they have too many machines, too many calf raise machines for sure, and 2 too many Smith Machines. Need more power racks.
Edit: Oh yeah, and we can Deadlift in piece without people getting all uptight about a little weight slamming.0 -

I lift weights and do hiits in my basement. I run outside all over my town ( and a couple of neighboring towns ). I go to spin class at a nice little studio a couple miles away from where I work.0

Slim Gyms in the City of London mostly, occassionally at their sister gym Market Sports at a weekend, my front room or the streets (I run sometimes).0

I work out on the 16th floor of one of the dorms on campus. The BEST view of the Manhattan skyline. Very inspirational.0

My apartment, the comm gym, the base gym, outside, in the fitness exercise room...in the bedroom....everywhere!!!

Me too - I have my garage converted to a gym of sorts, my treadmill & rowing machine are in the basement.0 -
2 bootcamp sessions per week outdoors or at a kungfu studio. 1 week-end workout session at home, depending on what my trainer sends me for homework. 45 min of brisk walk or jogging everyday.0
