*edit* I also wanted to add in the fact that I upped my calorie goal from 1200 to 1500-1600 a day, (yesterday I actually ate over 1700cals so I am surprised at the scale going back down.0 -

Hi, I'm Yvonne, mother of 4. I work full time at a laptop as well and have been sedentary for years. This is my first attempt to lose weight, I had no idea how bad I looked until someone posted pictures of me and I saw a little round woman, I couldn't believe it was me! I don't feel that way so I was shocked! I had 2 facebook friends wha were having great success using this site, and I am glad I joined. I weigh myself every day, but I do not get upset or obsess about it when it doesn't show a loss. I know there are fluctuations. I only post it when I lose though. Whether it's been one day or three, I DO NOT want to see my ticker go backwards, lol.
I was 115 on the day I gave birth to my youngest, 11 years ago, though I had "lost" (non-baby) weight the whole time I was pregnant (started at 135), due to Gestational diabetes and the almost vegan diet I was using to keep my sugar steady. I will be very happy if I make it back to 1350 -

Hello I'm new to the group.
28 y/o, married, no kids. I work full time in a clinic. I have an obsession with weighing myself at least daily, I think it stems from a mild OCD or possibly because I dont want my weight to creep up like it has over the last 4 months (I've gained about 10 lbs). Sometimes if I have a bad eating day, I feel terrible and weigh myself at night, as long as the night weight isnt more than 2 lbs more than the morning, I feel better (2 lbs of gravity taking its toll).

Hi... I'm new to this group. I have found over the years that I have to weigh myself every day or I stop weighing myself completely. I see it as a simple habit to encourage better health... like brushing my teeth. I don't expect the scale to move every day and I don't go crazy if it goes up 1-2 pounds either. I simply know that if I don't do it today, then it get easier not to do it at all and the next thing I know... I've gained 20-30 pounds because I don't notice until I can't button my pants!
So happy to get some support from others who have the same "habit". Feel free to add me as a friend... I'm still relatively new to MFP. :-)0 -
