    I accept any and all friend requests. I usually put a message when I ask for a friend request.

    I hate messageless friend requests ALMOST as much as I hate profiles that say "Don't send friend requests" or "tell me why we should be friends".

    I equate it to trying to be friends with someone by walking up and standing next to them. Not saying a word. Just being there. Kind of strange...

    :laugh: This! I never thought of it that way but it's a great analogy.

    so when I go and look at their profile to figure out why they want to friend me is that like I pull out their wallet and start looking through there to see if I like the contents?

    Gosh I never have sent a friend request! I have sent many messages telling the person that
    I have enjoyed reading their food diary, I can learn a lot from it. I like their weight loss etc.
    I have become friends with most that I have shared messages with. I would never ask anybody
    to be my "friend" without having first made a connection. And I hope no one ever sends me a
    blank friend request, because I just will have to skip it. Please be polite and make an introduction. Friends here should not be treated like playing cards. We are working too hard for that. Collect friends if you must, but perhaps Facebook would be a better place for that.

    I deny almost all requests without a message. On occasion I will send a message asking how they found my profile?

    Since I try to maintain a very small list, I deny most requests anyway

    I've only denied one person, and that was because I'd seen her make a total *kitten* monkey out of herself on the forums.
    I don't really care if they send a message, If people are rude or inactive I just delete them, no skin off my back.

    honestly, I don't see the point in reaching out for friends on here who can't help you if they don't know where you might be going wrong.

    You know with the diary thing, how do you make it public to all? Because my profile was open before, but I made it friends only now, but IDGAF if people see my diary. Is there a way of having a private profile with an open diary?

    Right before my last reply in this thread, I took the time to send someone a message asking them how they found my profile in order to send me a FR. The young lady read the message and didn't bother to respond. I decided to check out her friends and did find one we have in common. I figure she saw my profile earlier when I commented on my friends exercise. I browsed the other comments to see if this young lady was supportive of my friend. NOPE.

    DENIED!!!!!!! :explode:
