"too be honest with you" as if they are implying that everything they said before wasn't.0
-
"Wokaay!"
"Seriously?!!"0 -
Do you have a word or phrase that just drives you crazy when you here it?
Mine is "It is what it is". I HATE this phrase. I think it makes the person saying it look like an idiot.
But, it is what it is...rotfl!:laugh:0 -
"no offense, but . . ."0

if you don't like one of my favorite sayings thats fine ..... it is what it is  :laugh:0 -
smh....
I only recently found out what this meant and it made it all the more irritating xx0 -
For whatever reason, it drives me crazy when someones' "oh, you're fine!" instead of 'That's alright' if I for instance apologize for being in their way or something like that. "You're fine!" and they always do that stupid hand movement, like a downward wave, when they say it too. It irritates the hell out of me!!!
I also hate how "Sir" has become the new "Dude"0 -
What does smh mean? I see that often.0
-
yea, well.....hate it ! my sister says it ALL the time.....0
-
A client of ours uses "managing expectations" a lot which infuriates me.
"pushing the envelope"
"blue sky thinking"0 -
These are some of the prases that I can't stand:
"I don't mean to offend" - Yes, you did. Just by saying it, I know that you are a douche bag.
"O.M.G!" - If I hear it one more time, I might pull my hair out. I'm not responsible for what happens to the person that says it.
"Tots!" - My goodness! I hate this stupid abbreviation of totally. It's not 'tots', idiot! It's totally. Don't dumb-down the language, please...
"We're preggos!" I hate it when some men say this. No,man, you aren't pregnant. Not unless you have hidden your vagina behind your penis. I'm just clarifying.0 -
I hate reading the word "prolly" for the word "probably" especially when it's the only text-speak word in a post.0
-
wait staff asking are you still working on that.0
-
When someone says the past tense of "to see" as "seen"......as in "I seen that movie yesterday". Makes the English major in my soul weep.0
-
I HATE when people misuse "lay" as in "I'm going to lay down." NO! It is "I'm going to lie down." You lie yourself down or you lay an object down. Get it right people!0
-
I hate when people (esp info-mercials) say "Burns Fat!"
You don't burn fat, you shrink the fat cells. You burn calories. You can't get lessen the number of fat cells unless you get liposuction.
AND
When people choose the wrong word-- there vs their vs they're OR know vs no
AND
When people pronounce mature as ma-tour, elementary as el-men-tree0 -
What does smh mean? I see that often.
it means "shake my head"
ps i also hate when people is the wrong tense of words-- is/are (thinking of plurals)0 -
and "fml"
Definitely agree with this.
Also, "That's how I roll". I can't stand this phrase anymore. Retire it already!! Move on!0 -
"surely" it does not render the information you presented any more valid just because you believe it to be.0

How about when they pronounce library as 'liberry'?0 -
"I love him/her to death" and "Bless her heart". In the south these two phrases are usually followed with a really snotty comment, such as, "Bless her heart, she's dumb as a bag of doorknobs." or "I love her to death, if she could only keep her legs closed."
I also can't stand, "Have a blessed day", especially in voice mail messages. My co-worker says she tells customers to have a blessed day when she really means F-off.0 -
Mine is the F bomb. Did you ever notice it is the only word that can be used as a verb. noun, adjective or anywhere you want. Although I've never heard it used with an ly at the end. LOL0
-
I don't like the word "often"
"That's neither here nor there."
"just sayin'"0 -
Starvation mode.
Not that I don't believe in it, because I do, but I'm sick of people who don't understand what it really means using it.
Same goes for skinny-fat.0 -
Irregardless - there's no such word
"moving forward" - I hate it, it's just put at the start or end of a sentence when the sentence makes perfect sense without it like "So, what is your salary expectation, moving forward?"
deja vu all over again - it's just deja vu0 -
With that said....
With that said... I say it all the time, but wish I wouldn't!
THIS. I hate the term "with that said". It doesn't really mean anything, because if you left it out of the sentence, it wouldn't be missed.0 -
Irregardless - there's no such word
