    Wanted to reply before I read anyone else's - my vote is for cool. I'd love to have the reason to rock a kilt. Perhaps I'll learn to play bagpipes or throw a hammer or toss a caber.

    Last year I sewed 14 kilts so my friends could wear them for a typical event in my town. It's so sexy in my opinion!

    If I see a man in a kilt at an event, I know he and I will have a really interesting conversation. It also tells me that I've gained social outcast points by attending the event, whether I wanted to or not. YMMV.

    If you can claim any kind if Scottish heritage and wear a properly tailored kilt in your clan tartan, it's not only cool, it's as sexy as hell.

    My fiance has an ameri-kilt, and I love when he wears it. He has fantastic calves, and usually wears it with a pair of doc martens with a tartan interior. On really toasty days he'll wear it with a pair of manly sandals (not tevas) and it looks ok then, definetely better with the boots though.

    Interesting. My fam has been in the states for a long long time and has lost all heritage, but there are grandma rumors of Scots-Irish heritage, like most of the white folks in the south. There is a tartan for my family name, but it's hard to justify $400 for a skirt.
