For those who wonder, how to get a ticker...
You go to this site www.tickerfactory.com
Choose: Exercise & Fitness Ticker
Pick your ticker background and icon.
Set password to your ticker (the pswrd is for you to update, so the ticker can move forward)
You also set units (miles, km) and your target.
Then you copy-paste the first code they have there & voila, you are all set up.
I must be technologically challenged because I'm not seeing/getting any codes When I choose the ticker I want, nothing happens.0 -

After you have already selected the background and your ticker icon, you come to the Setup page (where you have to enter password, units, target).
You need to fill that out and press NEXT. You come to a page, where you see your ticker- under that is a sentence (you may need to scroll a bit):
Cut and paste code for most boards and web pages:
bbCode:
(Message Boards code, FertilityFriend.com's boards, phpBB based boards, Invision Power Board, vBulletin...)
And in that box is a code that you have to copy-paste here Just the code - nothing else needed.
Hope this helps!0 -

I am in again this month. I had knee surgery 2 weeks ago so I am currently on crutches and won't be getting any mileage the beginning of the month but am hoping to be able to get atleast a measly 10 miles by the end of this month. Might be a small challnge but a very challenging challenge in my current situation. Good luck everyone!0

@chancie72: take the time to recover completely before doing anything. Great to see you back!0 -

Yay! I found you guys! And it's 9:51 AM and we are already on page 3! Awesome!
I'm going for 200 miles again. I was off by 30 miles last month and I plan on blowing my goal out of the water this month! Totally movitated to prove to myself I can do this!
Plus, in the old days, if I failed to make my goal, I'd just give up. Love that -this time it has just motivated me more!
Love all of you guys! And welcome to the new faces!
These challenges have helped me change my life!!!!0 -

I'd love to, but I have no idea how to know how many miles I've walked. If I get one of those pedometer thingies is it a reliable measure and is one brand better than another? I have to vary my walk a lot, because I get bored with the scenery, so it's not like I can just measure out a course with my car and then walk it every day (I've done it that way).0

OK, I am new and will go for 80 miles of walking with the dog!0

You can look up your distance on google map. That's what I do to find new running routes.0 -
Hi - This sounds like some much needed motivation on my end. How do I get started? Where do I get the ticker and input my goals/progress? Thanks!0

OH that's brilliant and I love not spending money on one more gadget. However, it won't work for the walks we take in the park where I live, since Googlemaps doesn't show mileage beyond the entrance gate (hard to believe, but there are still places that Google can't or won't go). I'll figure out how to work around it.0 -
Count me in again! Thanks to everyone for keeping this challange going. It definitely motivates me to move!
May goal= 100 miles! :flowerforyou:0 -
