  • Holy moly, guys! I disappeared for a while -- sorry about that!

    But I am back, and well on my way to my Turkey Day goal. Promise to weigh in on Thursday! :smile:

    Glad to see everyone is doing well. I am pretty excited -- I found a relatively low-cal, low-carb, low-fat supreme pizza that I am going to make tonight. I was really craving pizza!

    Also bought a tape measure and took my measurements a few days ago -- ouch. :indifferent: If the numbers 44-37-45 aren't a great motivator, I don't know what is!

  • man! i have a bad cold since yesterday. I did not go work out today since i read it will make the cold get worser.. not only that i feel weak so i ate a lot. :mad: but my throat so i drank water a lot also.
    one more day before weight in... i hope i don't gain the weight back.

    OK so I am doing really bad. I do fine for breakfast. It is lunch where I have my bad time. I do not really want to eat. Nothing sounds good to me so I will snack on a greanola bar and pretzels and stuff that add up really fast in calories and are not one bit healthy or filling. It leaves me hungry and wanting something but I don't know what. I need good lunch suggestions. Fast, easy around 300 calories if possible and most important filing!

    Wasa cracker with a TBS of peanut butter and whole bag of frozen vegetables (green beans, broccoli, stir fry veggies mixed vegetables
    without butter or sauce of any sort)


    slice a bell pepper or cucumber and eat it with hummus

    celery with peanut butter

    Make a plan for your lunch, log it onto MFP the night before or in the morning and stick to the plan

    someone who lost a lot of weight said, "if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail"

    Weigh in tomorrow - and I just got my TOM - early. :sad: I feel so bloated.

    If I don't show a loss tomorrow....:mad:

    I did an extra 20 minutes on my work out tonight and am chugging the water. Good luck everyone!

    my "easy" lunches are frozen leftovers from previous one-pot dinners!! toss 'em on the counter when i walk in to work in the morning, and they're defrosted by the time i eat lunch. nuke. eat. no stress...and no excuses.

    All great suggestions. Just wanted to add... Sometimes I take a banana and peanut butter for lunch :happy:

    Yesterday was NUTS! I earned 525 exercise calories, and STILL went over by 600 calories.

    Lesson of the day: Do not eat what the husband eats! Seriously, we spent most of the day together and I ate like bachelor all day long: Buffalo wings, beer, french fries... :blushing:

    Today I'm back on track, and I'm thinking about not eating back any workout calories to make up for yesterday. Bleh. :grumble: Hopefully my scale doesn't blow up tomorrow.

    On those days where im home with the boyfriend and he's eating stuff like that. I try to eat celery and laughing cow or peanut butter, drink water instead of beer, and you can have chicken just do baked chicken breast strips and dunk them into fat free ranch dressing..

    Had oatmeal for breakfast, and then went out to lunch with the girls. I opted for the salad bar, and half way through my salad I found a HAIR!!!:sick: That's definitely one way of making sure you don't over-eat... Ugh.

    I have a class at the gym and volleyball tonight. I'll be really disappointed if I don't show a difference tomorrow! Good luck everyone!

  • my TOM too...grr. i WAS looking forward to weigh in tomorrow :laugh: but i guzzled an extra 32 oz of water on top of my goal and i'm done eating for the night....lets see what tomorrow brings.

    does anyone wanna join me by sleeping in a sauna tonight? :ohwell: JK! see you all tomorrow...

  • Today is my last day on TOM. I 'm still 1 lb short for tomorrow weight in.
    I drank lots of water today and don't eat starch after 7 pm. I hope i will hit my weekly target goal tomorrow.

    Success! Small success (-.5 lbs) - but with TOM here -I'm not too disappointed. So, 10 weeks to go and I have 13 lbs until my TD goal. I think I can still do that - but I want to step it up for the next couple of weeks so I don't have loads to lose the last few weeks. Think I'm going to cut out more carbs - not carb free, but getting out the South Beach cookbook to get some ideas for low carb breakfasts.

    BTW - are we still doing the crunch challenge this week? I've been doing my core workout and I am FEELING it! Which is good as my core is my weak spot, always. Anyone else? Still drinking all of my water every day. Keep it up everyone!! Good luck today.

  • A bit frustrated. I have been weighing myself through out the week and had been down a lb, but the inlaws made a surprise visit so I haven't been able to get my workouts in and we had been going out to eat:grumble: . Plus I have not been sleeping well.:frown: They are leaving later today so then I will getting some extra workouts in!

    On another note, I have been keeping up with my water and my crunches. So That is something I guess. It will help in the long run!

    I've done great drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day
    I've done crunches on alternate days but maybe not as many as I could because I've had years of back problems and don't want to take any chances but I'll gradually add more.

    BUT my pants feel loose AND my abs look sleeker from all the crunches!!! I think I just might start measuring myself! And I've asked my husband to hide the scale until check in (first thing in the morning is the BEST number!) since I get on it every day and don't feel like I'm making any progress with all the fluctuations!!

  • I lose 5 lbs! compare to yesterday weight.. i actually lose 3 more lbs in 24 hours. it does not make sense... maybe because i just done with TOM.
