REAL MFP women, weight training Befores and Afters

Question.... With women that have more then 80 pounds to loose... Should they wait until they loose their weight to start weight training or can they do it now? Would appreciate the help!0

Although I've been on & off lifting weights before but I started lifting heavy seriously last year & now can squat 75 lbs., lunge & bench press 60 lbs., deadlift 30 kg. or about 70 pounds & can do arm & shoulder exercises using 35 lbs. each arm.

Wow, just Wow!!! Thanks ladies for the inspiration. I just finished NROLW and I'm super excited to get started... I'm still researching a few local gyms in the area but I hope to get started in the next week or two. I had no intention of taking "before" and "after" pictures but I most certainly will, if only just for me to document the progress I'll be making. Hopefully if I'm brave enough I'll put them up here.0

I just went through the entire thread (not just this part... but from the verrryyyy beginning lol) and can I just say ~ WOW!!!! Thank you ladies for the serious inspiration! I started reading NROLFW a few weeks ago on & off, and this is what I need to get off my butt, finishing reading it & start the program!!

After focusing primarily on strength training for about 3 months:
I do strength training about 2-3x/week and eat about 2500 calories/day and about 180 g protein on average.0 -

Erm... okay! I'll go. Consider this my work-in-progress. I know you wouldn't be able to tell anyway in the first pic because I'm not flexing, but believe me I started out with zero muscle. Been strength training for about 2.5 months.
