Damn...I wish I only went once a week. It's such a waste of my time!0

Warm prune juice, that's what you need. Heat it up and drink it down. Warming it up is the key.
so you need the taste of hot *kitten* to produce?
Not me..I'm doing just fine. It's a helpful tip for our 3 lb/once a week pooper.0 -

I know, right?! I'm losing it.0

I have bowel movements about 3-4 times a week and yet they are still large. I save them for when I'm at work or at Walmart because they have more powerful toilets.
Yes, the rest of us who shop at Walmart really appreciate this.
I've also hit Meijers too. I only keep toilet paper for emergencies. My bowel movements are handled in other locations.0 -
I don't know. It's probably something that can be computed somehow if you knew all the formulas. But I only got as far as Calc II. I know a couple of applied math PhD's.. I'll float this one past them and see if they can come up with some solution.
^^Funny^^
It's like giving birth to a little poo baby ; )
that reminds me of a few years ago, we were going on holiday to America and i guess due to nerves id got very constipated and hadnt been for ages.
My whole family knew and were worried about the situation on a plane, but finally the day before we were going away, i managed to go....
The phrase 'mother and poo both doing well' was used an awful lot that holiday :laugh:0 -
I would be curious to know what your daily diet consists of? How many calories you consume each day?
well i eat about the same thing everyday
for breakfast i have a frozen breakfast biscuit thing with bacon egg and cheese and vitamin water with miralax and benefiber in it
lunch: turkey sandwich and some chips and maybe half of a can of pop
dinner: today all i had was a piece of bread but usually chicken and rice or spaghetti---you know, real dinner lol
thats about it
Whoa, no veggies? You need to eat a lot of green leafy vegetables and fruits, for one thing! try that!
I was laughing so much I forgot this is very serious.
This post is correct in suggesting veggies. Also fruits. You should be eating so much more. I have also added prunes daily. just a serving. When I was not living a heatlhy lifestyle, I was going every 2-3 days. Now I am regular again. The Fruits and veggies help so much. especially the prunes. And its all natural so much better than medication and processed powders.
Have you seen a specialist? Or maybe a nutritionist? Maybe there are some foods you are eating that make you constipated. This is an extremely serious issue and you should consult another doctor if your doctor is stumped.0 -
So according to my scale....I weigh 3 lbs less after pooping! Is this right?!
Wow 3 pounds?!?! Did you have to have an episiotomy?0 -
So the consensus seems to be: Drink plenty of water, eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Shannon, can you try that for say, a month, and let us know if it helps? :drinker:
i'm not kidding when i say i've tried everything lol the doctor said i have a nonfunctioning colon and he doesn't know the cause......the only thing i can do is wait it out or take laxatives
I've had a problem for years with major pain in my lower right side. It would hurt so bad even sex was painful (don't think it people!) I've passed out from it and everything. It felt like I was constipated but nothing would work. They tested me inside out and upside down for years and years. Ultra sounds, barium enema, colonscopy, gall bladder, liver, you name it. A heating pad wrapped around my side would be the only relief I could find. After a couple hours or days sometimes it would go away. They never did figure out. My theory was that I was getting blocked up for some reason. So, I bought this Ultimate Cleanse at the local health store. It's 2 bottles of vitamins/ herbs. When I feel that pain coming on or I haven't pooped for a day or so, I take one of each in the am and one of each in the pm. You're supposed to increase it by one of each every other day but I've only ever made it to 2 of each one time. I always go and the pain vanished. SOOOO for what it's worth there ya have it.0 -
I used to have this habit of weighing myself pre-and-post-poop.
I once lost FIVE POUNDS that way.
I eat a lot of protein and fiber.
But it comes right back once I eat more.0 -
I can't!!!
You can't poop?
Oh I can! It's a blessing!0 -
As silly as this topic can be, it is an important health issue. I think I'd see another dr or make sure your current dr. realizes how bad this is. Sometimes I don't mention a problem in enough detail for anyone to realize that it really is a problem.
It looks like you need to eat more fruits and veggies. Are your pasta and bread 100% whole grain? Prunes would be a good thing. I would drink more water too. Water often help you go. Take colace, it is a stool softener that draws water to your poop and makes it easier to pass. It is gentle enough for babies and there doesn't seem to be any reason why you can't take it regularly. Real black licorice can help too.0 -
Why did you weigh yourself before and after pooping?
cuz someone place a electronic scale in the bathroom at the gym. Now that is just a challenge.
To the OP, 3lbs!!!. I have only hit 2.2 .... you shame me. :laugh:0 -

Grab your poop and put it on the scale :P
Now that's just gross. Grabbing poop. I poop directly on the scale.
Omg, this thread is hystarical.0 -
*High Five* on the 3 pounder!!!0

I would say collect it and measure it. Then you would know for sure. This is what the President did. so seems reasonable.

billsica...don't start with the political crap...(hehe...get it?)0

It seems easy enough to collect it. Just get one of those toddler training toilets and put a bag in it and then just grab the bag and put it on the scale.0
