I'm frustrated. I've had a very hard time staying on track lately and when it comes down to it, I have no one to blame but myself. I have a lot of trouble with moderation, and so this week I am trying to be much stricter with the types of food I eat, and trying to avoid foods that will lead to overeating and/or binging. I also changed my goals to something more reasonable for my current weight.
I am trying to to dwell on last week, and I think checking in here (rather than just giving up due to my gain) is a good start...I hope...0 -

Thanks to everyone who weighed in on time. :flowerforyou: Any weigh ins after this post will not be on this week's chart.0
-
carolemack - Yay for changing your water drinking! And... nice Mother's Day gift! :-)
jgunn81 - "i normally have horrible reflux at night... but lately its been pretty much non existent" - Maybe your weight loss is helping it. :-)
tealighttrees - Yay for the running and for the attitude change!
kristinkt - Sorry this has taken me so long to post but here is the recipe for the super low fat (and tasty!) ranch dressing...
I use 1 cup of low fat cottage cheese, 1/4 cup low fat milk, 1/4 cup water, and 6 tsp of the ranch packet. I mix the liquid with the packet first (in the blender) and then add the cottage cheese. It is delicious! It works out to 10 calories per tablespoon of dressing and very little fat (less than 1/2 gram for two tablespoons).
surferfreak - Please give the Olivia method a little while longer. What I find is that, even though I have a certain deficit, sometimes I'll lose less than that one week and then make it up another week. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water also.
Migoi357 - Woo hoo, Tim! ONEderland!!!
AmyByExample - "Current Weight" is the same weight that you have on 04/09. Yay for ONEderland!!! "I think I still need to watch my "PM Snack, Dinner & Dessert" calorie intake. Even though I'm usually in my calorie range, I eat more than 1/2 my calorie intake at this time of day." That can happen to me too.
Shadowkitty22 & k****ey31 - Good luck in reaching your 50 lb goals!
Pbprincess - Berries... Yum!
mrsgstone - Yay for breaking the plateau!
thurberj - Good luck to your coworker!
Desirai - I hope you feel better soon!
Audrine - "I believe that if you continue and keep going, eventually your efforts will be rewarded!" - I agree!
dajndae - Yay for "heading back down"!
cathyl3 - I think it would be great if you and poopoomonkey1978 were to help each other out!
Sailingsal - I hope your son is better soon!
lizarene3 - I hope your father-in-law is better soon!
Mel2626 - Vacation... Fun!!
Congrats to those that reached their mini goals this week!
Congratulations to those that entered into a new "decade"!
For those that are struggling, but committed to stay here and keep trying, GREAT! I'm glad that you are staying and still working towards your goals!
P.S. I'm sad that so many avoided weighing in today. :frown: Sure many probably gained some from yesterday's Mother's Day celebrations but, sometimes, that's life...0 -
Since this chart is SO BIG, please do not quote this post.
Please note ~ ~ Two people from the first group have been moved into the second to balance our groups.
Congrats to all of this week's winners!
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the biggest, overall, losers... jgunn81 and k****ey31!!
Audrine - Would you please give us a challenge (or two) for the week? Thanks!

Yay, chart! Seriously, I am saving these things to my hard-drive, because they make my WHOLE week.0

Hi! A gain! Ate crummy and no exercise. Here's to a new week....:o) So sorry for the late weigh in, I know it's too late to make your chart KC but I thought I'd still weigh in anyway. Thanks so much. Ana0 -

I have been bouncing around from 233-236 for three weeks. My calories have been good, I did my exercise... I'm a little afraid that I've plateaued! So I'm going to try switching my meals around so I get higher calorie meals earlier in the day and smaller ones at dinner. This is a big deal for me because I'm not a morning eater at all.... That should definitely confuse my system though. We'll see how that goes. I really can't do much to switch up the exercise at this point. Wish me luck! (and any suggestions are welcome!).0

Audrine - Would you please give us a challenge (or two) for the week? Thanks!
Kristen
Thank you Kristen for the opportunity!
Hmmm... Since spring is finally here and it's beginning to get warmer outside (where I live anyway), how about:
- Putting on a dress, a skirt or capris/shorts and going for a walk outside, showing off our beautiful legs at least once this week? :glasses: We worked so hard this winter and - I at least - haven't had the chance to show them off enough yet! Be proud of your accomplishment, and take the opportunity to look at yourself when you walk in front of a window, admiring yourself!!! Sometimes, when we're on a diet, I believe we become so hard on ourselves, it's important to take the time to congratulate ourselves too. Everybody in the challenge did amazing so far and deserves praise, even if it comes from ourselves! So this week's first challenge is: GO OUTSIDE AND BE YOUR CONFIDENT SEXY SELF! :blushing:
- Also, how about taking advantage of all the lovely seasonal fruits and veggies? (I love Spring! ). How about trying something new? A fruit or vegetable you never had (fiddleheads, white asparagus, a new variety of tomato, rhubarb, wild garlic, kale...the possibilities are endless!) and cooking something with it?
So those are the 2 challenges this week. Good luck everybody!0 -
I love the first challenge but it is already too late for that in Phoenix. Unless I'm going to be out before 10am all I'm going to be is a sweaty mess. It's hard to feel sexy with sweat running down your legs. I think we are in the triple digits for the rest of the summer.0

I checked out the chart for this week and I am back to where I started.
Now I weighed this morning and I was down 3.4 lbs. but I know most of that
was sodium. I drank water like crazy and peed like a race horse all
day. I ate light and will be eating light again today. The weekend did some
damage to my plans. I hope to be down by next week.
Congratulations all the losers. Keep it up. :drinker:0 -
I weighed in this morning just to see because I knew my sodium was pretty high on Mother's day and it affected my Monday weigh-in. So, now instead of 310.4 it is now 308.6! I can't wait for my next official check.0
-
Had a nice reply all typed up, then my laptop froze (it's an old hand-me-down from work, so it's losing steam).
So, now typing on the itty bitty family iPod.
So excited to have made the chart this week!! Wahh hoo!
Kristen, thanks for all the time you put into updating that- I love seeing the new results each week.
So much going on lately, work is mad busy, home is non-stop (& in dire need of a cleaning)...
I love the challenges for this week! I'm in on both.
Wishing everyone a wondrous week!
Hugs,
Amy0 -

Very fitting challenges that I'm actually going to have to put off until next week. The movers just came and boxed up all of my clothing (including my dresses, but I technically wore one earlier this week) but I've been in the mood for a dress lately anyway which is just odd given the fact that I don't like to wear them because my thighs rub together and I get heat rash and just ugh. And I can't cook a damn thing for the rest of the week as we'll be living in a hotel. I can however request my mother-in-law to buy something new starting next week when we stay with her for a month.0 -
yeah, i was a little disappointed by not losing anything over this last week, but it rained heavy almost all week, so that curbed alot of my exercise (not like i didnt try though).
One good thing though was seeing that just by eating healthier, i can maintain my weight and not gain, so i guess i can count this as a sort of mini-win for the week, lol.0 -
I will be wearing a cocktail dress this evening for my daughter's Pin Dinner (it's a ceremonial thing where all the new graduate nurses receive their nursing pins). I'm excited!0
-
"Putting on a dress, a skirt or capris/shorts and going for a walk outside" Here is evidence that I did one of the challenges (so far).
This is a walk that is fun too!

I wore capris to work yesterday, and as I was glancing at myself in the window after work with my daughter I was thinking about this challenge and that I was looking more average than obese. Yea me! I will keep working on trying to add new food. I did try kiwi yesterday, but I'm not sure if that counts. It has been a long time since I had any.0
-
There's no way i will be wearing a skirt or capri's as its still struggling to get above 44F here!!!0

I would say I'm disappointed in the little amount that I lost but I can't really say that. I've got all sorts of reasons and excuses ranging from I'm moving and getting packed up so therefore I didn't have time to go to the gym (which the gym aspect is a lie so at least I'm being honest) to it's by TOM. But whatever the reason, I'm not as close to my 50 pound goal by next Tuesday as I would like to be and that's okay. I still have until next Tuesday morning to get there. And if I don't get there then I'm not going to stress about it because it's no big deal in the end.0 -
cute dresses!! I love the print one0
