i needed to hear this! thanks for posting! Those numbers really help too cus I am definitely one to be like ohhhh *kitten* i just gorged myself with so much crap.. i'm never going to get back in shape.. what is wrong with me?.. etc. etc.
I think we all get down on ourselves too easily but are too afraid not to because then we wouldn't be so determined to eat healthy and work out.. but are we hurting ourselves more by putting ourselves down? .. i think so.. cus i know i do.
Anyway.. lol thanks for that! I gotta remember this! :flowerforyou:0 -
So now I can have that double cheeseburger I've been craving!! My kids will be so happy. I've told them we probably will not be going to McDonald's this summer. I may even let myself have a small Dr. Pepper. (My weakness).0

Bump so I can come back and read this over and over and over again! Thank you so much for posting.0

The fact that most of us have a calorie deficit most days really does make these mini "binges" no big deal. Awesome, now I don't feel so guilty about those occasional crappy days :bigsmile:0

Love this....and this is great for me because sometimes I just wanna have a pity party and throw in the towel and say I'll never lose the weight. What a better way to think.....rewire the brain to succeed instead of failure.0

Bump.
I just figured out not too long ago to think like this...0 -
love it--thanks for the post!!0

Plus, those numbers only work if you were eating at maintenance the rest of the week. If you've been eating at a deficit all week, you'd have to eat even more - enough to wipe out your week's worth of deficit.
Great point!
OP, this was an awesome post0 -
Thanks for posting! We didn't get here in a day and it'll take more than a day to ruin what we've all been working toward!!0

This is literally exactly what my facebook status is about right now. My day today is too long to make it throughout the day without snacking, and I've been overtired lately, so I think my body is craving fuel. I decided to make today a "cheat" day even though I'm going to be having a cheat weekend due to going away for a friend's wedding, but this reasoning is exactly why I don't feel too bad about it! Even with "cheating" today I don't think I'll go even 1000 over my allotted calories.0

Wow, that puts it in perspective! I’ll quit calling myself all those nasty degrading names after I fall of the food wagon. :0)0
