You can do the exact same thing, minus the oil, in the microwave. Just thinly slice the potato and arrange it on a plate or even a paper towel and nuke it for like 4-5 minutes. Not *quite* as crunchy as oven chips but still pretty good.0

I use this method to make kale chips too. Wash and pat dry the kale, tear into chip size pieces, getting rid of the thick tough stem, spray with a dash of cooking spray to get your seasonings to stick, and microwave the same way, just maybe not as long. Nice and crispy and nutritious!0

Edit: Uhhhh, and by oven, I definitely mean microwave.
Oh my goodness gracious me.
These are amazing. These have forever changed my life.
Potato chips. In the microwave. WITH NO OIL.
Yeah, you heard me.
This recipe is graciously borrowed from http://www.parenthacks.com/2012/04/microwave-potato-chips.html
Mine looked exactly like the picture, no joke. And I find a way to mess up the simplest of things.
So, how to you make these wonderful, delicious chips?
All you need is a scrubbed russet potato, seasonings of your choice, parchment paper, and a mandolin (unless you're a ninja in the kitchen).
So, you thinly slice the potatoes (work in batches, you'll figure this out pretty quickly).
Next, arrange the slices in a single layer on a piece of parchment paper that will fit on the glass tray of your microwave.
Then, season, and cook until golden brown. It ended up being about 4 minutes or so in my microwave, but WATCH YOUR CHIPS CAREFULLY. If you overdo it, bad things happen. I may have had one burst into flames. No, I am not joking.
Let them cool for a minute, if you can, then eat them all.
Enjoy!0 -

I tried this recipe and was not to pleased with the out come. Not real crispy as described. They tasted okay, but not what I was expecting.0

Can't wait to try0

Thanks so much for this recipe! These sound better than the baked chips I've been buying at the grocery store. Plus.....I can season them any way I want to. (Oh yeah, BTW, you definitely look like Katherine Heigl. Lover her!)0
