Thanks for the invite... very excited to be on this challange. I just have a few questions , I wear my pedo all day at work should i reset it once work is done to aim for my 10 000 steps or is this over the whole day work inclouded.

Yep had a lovely day..but you are right lots of sitting and eating but managed to stay within cals and no one commented on my smaller portions ;-) but they did say how `slim` I was looking so that`s a bonus even though I didn`t make all my steps!
But weather permitting am going to `step it up a notch tomorrow` got to chase some of these mega steppers on here lol ;-)))
If not it is going to be Wii free step with some music on (prefer outdoors) but will see how it goes.

don't belong to a gym, so my only walking is outside. it's been icky the past few days!!

On rain days I walk in the mall on the way home after work. On weekends they let us walk the mall before it opens, they issue us a name badge so they know we filed an app to be there.0 -

:bigsmile: I have an Omron HJ-720ITC.......I've had it for over a year and I love it........it does all the usual stuff and can be connected to my computer to download the data so I can see my steps back to when I first got it....I can track averages for the week, month, year. and how my steps are spread out hour by hour during the day to see where my sit down and active times are.

the line dance workshop was awesome :bigsmile: my pedometer doesn't recognize a lot of dance steps as real steps so I got a lot more exercise than the step number suggests.....I was on my feet moving most of the day :bigsmile:
:bigsmile: I put my pedometer in my pocket first thing in the morning when I get dressed to walk my dogs and carry it with me all day and put it on the counter in the bathroom last thing at night.....one great thing about my Omron is that I can put it in my pocket.......I lost of a lot of pedometers when I had the kind that hook on your belt or waistband.:laugh: :laugh:0 -

Okay, so I am off to a rather pathetic start, - only 3000 steps yesterday and today so far just over 1000, but I will get my but out the door shortly and go for a walk, so that will help.
I have decided that my goal this month is to be doing a minimum of 5000 steps per day by the end of the month. I'm going to work my way up to the 10000 steps by the end of next month. I figure as long as I keep striving, I'm on the right track.0 -

I've got a number of goals for June.
Daily: A minimum of 12K steps and 10K aerobic steps every single day.
Monthly: I'm shooting for roughly a 10% increase in my cumulative totals from the month of May.
Other: Complete at least two 10-mile walks during the month. (I'm thinking about signing up for a walking half-marathon in the fall.)
6/01: 17,754 steps; 11,873 aerobic steps (100 minutes); 8.12 miles
