If you are a HOT guy it is flirting.

If not then it will likely be regarded as creepy.

Truth. This is why I'm a creep. Girls don't like parrots. They tend to stick with their own species.

It's because parrots go around with their pecker showing all the time

Pic of the top head - flirting
pic of the bottom head - creepy

Telling me I have a nice smile - flirting
Telline me what you want to put in my mouth - creepy

The list goes on....and yes, I have gotten these messages on MFP

This just confirms what I have already thought: there's not that much actual flirting on this site, or what I consider to be flirting. It's very polarised. You either get timidity or overt sex talk (not that there is anything wrong with that depending on the circumstances...)

Good flirting takes a little confidence on the part of the people involved ~ the ability to give and accept compliments and gestures of romantic interest, which will usually, but not always involve a sexual undertone, and will probably not lead anywhere.

Flirting is like the Tango. What happens on MFP is like a mosh pit ;)

I disagree - I have flirted with not-hot guys and still had a lot of fun with it!

How do you know you weren't being creepy with them?

Where do you feel the line is between a "Flirt" and a "Creeper"?

Knowing what your victim will react well to....

Errrr, that's not what I meant. Really. I mean being sensitive to what the recipient of your affection likes and their individual needs.

What's that? In the air? Is that the Goodyear Blimp *points and then runs away when you're not looking.*
    too funny :)

Flirt - I really wanted to come over here and talk to you. You seem very interesting.

Creeper - Hey, could you smell this chloroform?

You look really nice today: flirting

Your t*ts look really good today: being creepy

That being said---it also depends on who it's coming from/directed at. My friends and I say things more like the latter to each other all the time, but we know where we stand and it's all in good fun. If some random or a guy I didn't know very well said that last one to me, well, that's being creepy.

Another example of creepy was the guy who sent me FR with the message "I want to get you pregnant." THAT is creepy.

This is true.... I think some women ignore it though  BUT... a good way to keep the CREEPERS away is use a family pic as your profile pic  I have no issues any more!

The whole MFP, "hey, want me to send you pics of my ****" Thing is just so old - more power to ya if you enjoy it!! But to me, I really don't want to see 47 different angles of your ****... ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! And if you receive NO COMMENT back on your pic... take that as a hint that WE'RE NOT IMPRESSED...
Ok, thank you... end of rant
hard to say.... It's more of a "gut feeling" I get with someone as to whether I find them "creepy" or not...

yes, most women have a built in creep-o-meter. we just know.

    Uh....:noway: I don't know.

I suspect because they reciprocated they did not take it as creepy. Unless, of course, they are INTO creepy.
    Thanks...now I'm self-conscious about my flirting.

Just to clarify, if he had spelled "no" correctly, would it have still been creepy?
