Creepers to me are people who have me as their only friend and it's a man I don't know other than online (but they have something to say all the time). Creepers are also people who seem to want to know every detail about me and seem obsessed.

If you are a HOT guy it is flirting.

If not then it will likely be regarded as creepy.

Carl pegged it! This is absolutely so true as far as my friends go. I just laugh.

Hot or not, I am not a big fan of men talking about my physical appearance in an attempt at flirting. It's cheesy and creepy. I want real conversation and for them to start off talking about something as shallow as looks to me just weirds me out. If the first thing they say makes me laugh then I will totally continue talking to them. Or atleast that's how it was before I was married. Now if I a guy hits on me I'm always nice and smile but am passive enough to give them the message that I'm not available.

It is flirting to start, once the person is politely declined or given no vibes and continues to "flirt" it becomes creepy.

Also creepiness can set in when a person uses inapporpriate body language and closeness for the level the two people know each other or social situation.

Okay, well, now how about when you constantly see posts by someone on a friend's page, but you are not friends with this other person and decide to drop them a pm simply complimenting them on how good they look and to keep up the great work. No friend request, no pic, no questions. A fly-by compliment, if you will. Creepy?

    YES!

    I disagree.

Creepy really is a feeling most women just get... I can't even tell you what makes someone that way all the time but here are a few thoughts...

Guys who invade the personal space I need are instantly creepy.
Guys who work with me and reach up to adjust my bra strap from showing... OMG creepy and you're fired (yes, this happened)...
Guys who don't back off when it's clear I don't care to talk to you... creepy!

OK, so maybe it is more obvious than I thought!

I will admit on the female side that I have done a few things that are actually creepy but hope I'm reformed... I'm sure it was creepy when I used to do a ton of research online on a crush and know WAY more about him than I had a reason to... or that I had to carefully ensure I didn't share anything that would make it that obvious that I'd done my research, haha!

The line between flirting and "being creepy" is crossed if you hear banjos and he tells you that you have a "purdy mouth." If that happens...run. :noway:

Flirting is when someone looks you in the eye and smiles or says something complimentary.

Creepy is having your boss who is 30 years older than you tell you he's going to hit on you when his wife goes out of town because you're hot.

If it makes you throw up in your mouth, it's creepy.

Ummm and in this case completely and utterly illegal.

And that is why I reported him. Of course, he got written up but kept his job. I quit and was walked out with two weeks pay. Not fair but at least I don't have to look at him ever again.

I've had fly by compliments... it depends.

    Is it:
    A) "I saw you on a friend's page, your legs are awesome- those boots!! Oh and that *kitten*- I was like WHOA!"
    or
    B) "I saw you on a friend's page, you look amazing. Terrific job on the loss."
    or
    C) "WOW, you are STUNNING"
    or
    D) "Those boots!! WOW! Just WOW!"

    A and D -Creepster
B and C- Kinda made my day

Yes these are actual PMs that I have received.

It all depends on where his hands are..

But what if he doesn't say? Is there a preferred position that you assume?

And is it bad that I ALWAYS read you name as something Russian or whatever? like "Cannonski?"
