Sounds great - and doable, even in rainy Washington!! I have a questions, though. Some people commit to walking 10K steps a day, no matter what. How do you do that, if you work fulltime and have other evening commitments? Help!!

I have been carrying a pedometer for years since long before I retired.....wearing or carrying a pedometer made me conscious of the steps I was taking and bit by bit I found ways to add a few steps to almost anything I was doing......you won't get to 10,000 steps a day right away, but little by little your totals will grow....another thing is that I began to re-evaluate how I spent my time...for example, I used to do a lot of crafts with my free time and now I do fewer crafts and more walking when I have some extra time.

June 1---3 hours of walking dogs, 2 hour line dance class and an hour working in the yard
June 2--50 minutes walking dogs----all day line dance workshop (8AM-10PM)
June 3--60 minute morning walk--60 minute walk with dogs---two hours working in the yard 4-
    June 4---3 hours walking dogs
June 5--3 hours walking dogs---an hour in the garden----an hour of weight training
June 6---walking dogs---line dance class----two long walks----working in the garden
    June 7--walking dogs---line dance class---weight training----working in the garden
June 8--walking dogs--line dance class---working in the yard including carrying a lot of rocks

 every day===at least one timed plank and 100 lunges

:flowerforyou: I am retired so I have a lot more time to be active than people who go to work every day
with my frisky poodles, there is no such thing as a rest day for me
