Can I still get in on this? I know it is late. I was running 150-160/month last summer but have been more focused on weight training and losing my motivation to run. I would love to get in on this group to help push myself.

Let me know if I can join this late.

    Thanks!

    Brian

Hi Brian - still a few slots left, what is your goal and how much did you run week 1 and week 2 what is your total mileage right now?

I have been really off track. Not even recording lately as I have been too focused on lifting. I ran 3.5 today and 2.0 yesterday. After that, I really do not remember. I would like to try for 100 still - it would be a challenge, but I would love to try.

Is it too late to join? I've been marathon training and while I joined the 100 mile thread at the beginning of the month I only log my 3 weekly runs.

    So far my mileage is:

    6/1 3.18
    6/3 3.25
    6/6 4.31
    6/8 4.20

So far 14.94. I definetly want to surpass the 50 mile mark by 6/30.

Worked on my pace today and picked up some extra mileage in the same time frame as my last 2 runs. Today's total 4.81.

    MTD: 19.75
    MTG: 30.25

I ran my first marathon on 6/9 (yay!), started the run with a leg injury (dumb!) so my time was embarrassing (boo!)... but I completed.

I will need to heal for a week+ and plan to get on my bike, so I'm adjusting my month's running goal down to 60

3.1 mile run in 36:04, Avg Pace 11:39, Splits 11:56 - 11:23 - 11:35, Temp 95, Dew Point 70, Partly Cloudy. Legs felt pretty good.

Not much wildlife out and about today. Guess they were playing it smart and staying cool, lol. I did see a few turtles in a couple ponds that I went by.

    Hey guys,

I ran a half marathon here in Canberra (Australia) yesterday - it was a lap race around a park, organised by one of the running clubs. I was worried I would have gotten bored completing the 13x 1 mile laps - but I actually enjoyed it. There was one section where we had to step down off the kurb and the back up onto it later - and I am not sure my knees enjoyed those 13 times, but it was a good fun course. Has anyone else competed in something similar?

I managed to stay consistant - on an 8.5 min per mile pace. My first couple of laps were a little bit faster, but I settled into a good pace after the excitement wore off. The weather was a good comfortable 8 degrees celcius (46 f) with a mild head wind - that was a little chilly in the shade. That was my 2nd official half marathon - and I managed to shave 2 minutes off my PB from my run on 15 April. My next is 1 July, the Gold Coast Half Marathon and given thats a long flat and fast course, I am still hoping to shave another 3 minutes off!

Anyone else compete in any events over the weekend?
