June 14: 3.75 miles
Total: 20.95/60
I am so proud of myself - I ran a full 5K straight today! It was slow, but I did it! Then I added some walking after that. Yay!0 -

This is awesome. A first 5k is always a big thing. A lot of people say that when you can run a 5k, you can say you're a runner. I say that whenever you start to run & walk, you are runner! :drinker: And don't forget that speed doesn't matter. A saying says: "It doesn't get easier, you're just getting faster." You will get there, don't you even worry!
I certainly hope you're proud of you, because I am!
@jugar: beautiful day indeed today for gardening! A great day to be outside! I'll definitely will have to give you a ring and ride with you sometime this summer :glasses:0 -

Did anyone notice that the anagram of lime is mile ?
Don't know if this was your intention all along by introducing the color-coding for "on-track," Dino, but it will be interesting to see if it results in a higher rate of goal completion. Witness the motivating effect it's had on so many of us here!
Which begs the question: are we all just part of some diabolical psychological experiment here?
You are pointing out a very good point Coni! I know that LIME GREEN DOES motivates me A LOT
and I was looking at the stats last night, and I was telling myself that I was pretty sure that the ''made goal'' row
would be higher this month... we will see...
As for the experiment, I think everything is possible with Dinos...
My abilities are highly overrated here, thanks anyway :flowerforyou: I'd like to take credit for the selection of the color lime and the mile/lime analogy, but it was just a coincidence.
There is some validity in Coni's experiment theory. I'm no social psychologist, but I like numbers and I have a penchant for making things better. I do the same thing at work. The more data I have available, my understanding of the situation improves and my decisions get smarter. Luck, enthusiasm and talent are factors, however they don't last for ever and will only get you this far. The rest is smart and consistent work.0 -
